One thing that I have learnt in life is that anything can happen. Never think that something is impossible in this world that's the reason why you should always have a plan B

Just educated you a little. If there should be a war again, you can be rest assured that every part of the country will have a bitter taste of it directly this time because both sides are connected to the outside world through the Atlantic unlike the Biafran side of 1967 that were blockaded from all sides. The least you could do is to pray for peace and not brag and count on the NA alone.

We can only pray that there isn't a war between Nigeria and United south East and south south. It will be a big disaster.

I think these illiterates does not know the difference between war and blowing pipelines, i pity the people of these region should war breaks again, hunger and death, these boys have never forth a single war and they are calling for one at the peril of their people, ok lets wait and see, what Ojukwu could not completes lest see who completes it.
At Nigeria Biafra war, the south East and south south never fought together. In fact, they fought against each other in the sense that they joined forces with the Nigerian side. They aided the Nigerian side by launching attack from their end and blockage of the water ways. Because just like Lagos, they are connected to the Atlantic Ocean. The Nigerian side moved directly from Lagos through the Atlantic Ocean and landed in Port Harcourt from where the launch attack to the Biafran side. It will be a big disaster if Nigeria should wage a war with a United south East and south south. Anyone who tries to compare that to the war of 1967 or a fight against boko haram is doing that at his own risk.

They are not interested in killings but making sure that they bring the oil production from the region to zero, of which they are successfully doing judging by the happenings. It's no propaganda, they are gradually bringing what remains of the Nigerian economy to a halt. It's quite unfortunate. Their actions so far has proved that you can no longer ignore their threats or dismiss them as mere propaganda.

Would you had done the same? I doubt it. Though I was one of your supporters, but I don't think you would have conceded a defeat. To you, all the many problems facing Nigeria and Nigerians has a solution in you. You don't believe any other person can do it better than you. But today, what is the score card? You have succeeded in complicating Nigeria's many troubles. It's obvious that you are not better than others except insisting that you are not corrupt like others. Good luck to you though.

Buhari has declared his assets as he wishes to.

If you're not satisfied, you have options:
1. Invoke FOI law to get it. Or

2. Sponsor detectives to do an undercover operation to unravel it.
Did anyone had to go to that length to get the said information from late Musa Yaradua? Stop supporting shortcomings. I'm really not interested whether he declare or not. I'm just bothered that nothing seems to be working anymore in this country.
Politics › Re: FG To Propose N45,000 Minimum Wage, Meets Labour Today by Innomach(m): 1:05pm On May 16, 2016
DropShot:
This is good news if true.

I have said it before that deregulation of petrol business prevents Nigeria from making oil marketers billionaires with our scarce dollars. Increasing minimum wage will ensure that workers get the "subsidy" they were not getting from subsidized fuel. And once that is done, non-government workers will be able to get their own share from govt workers too.

I know you say inflation but we cannot avoid that natural situation with our current state of affairs. Impossible!
What happens to other millions that are not government employed?
Politics › Re: Fuel Price Increase: 200,000 Jobs Will Be Created From It - Lai Mohammed by Innomach(m): 8:58pm On May 13, 2016
oduastates:
The Subsidy regime became beyond repairs after Jonathan and Deizani ballooned the number of fuel importers from 5 to over 100 within 12 months.
Almost all the new companies were corrupt entities set up to collect and subsidies and subsidies alone.
Almost all lacked experience or history in the industry.
They came, they polluted and corrupted the Subsidy regime and they stole.
With this deregulation, most of the corrupt companies left will disappear.
The good companies, without corrupt government agent harassing them, can now build value chains on a deregulated downstream industry.
It is also appealing that these value chains can be built with or without crude oil from the Niger-delta.
Equatorial Guinea, Ghana, Angola are not far.
If things go right, refineries, power plants, petrochemical and manufacturing can develop around the industry.
This is built on the hope that Nigeria does not experience a disastrous government like Jonathan again.

I have not even scratched the surface. A petrochemical value chain can easily supply 1 million jobs.
Nigeria spends a lot of money importing all these.

Ethylene and propylene are important sources of industrial chemicals and plastics products.

Butadiene is used in making synthetic rubber.

Benzene is a raw material for dyes and synthetic detergents

Manufacturers use xylenes to produce plastics and synthetic fibers .

Synthesis gas is a mixture of carbon monoxide and hydrogen used to make ammonia and methanol.

Ammonia is used to make the fertilizer urea, bombs and other munitions

methanol is used as a solvent and chemical intermediate.

Olefins are the basis for polymers and oligomers used in plastics, resins, fibers, elastomers, lubricants, and gels.

You start making plastics, maybe you will start making home appliances like vaccum cleaners, computer keyboards, toys etc

Maybe printer inks and cartridges, pen and pencils
The most stupid comment I ever had the misfortune to read.
Politics › Re: NNPC To Sell Fuel Below N145, PPPRA Releases Official statement by Innomach(m): 10:15pm On May 11, 2016
Quakertellicus1:
First...it isn't the government importing fuel...it is the marketers...the govt gives them dollars at the offical rate to import.(though with falling revenue from oil exports that source is restricted...and marketers have to go parallel).

Second....removing the subsidy might lead to savings to build refineries.

But if you ask me.,.....it is the private investors where it is at.

One more thing....refineries are not built in a year. Even after contracts are awarded...you have to do EIA, pay claims, train staff...etc. And all that takes time.
Stop saying what you don't know. Government has been importing fuel through NNPC. In fact, NNPC has been importing nearly 100 percent of petrol since sometime last year till date. That is the reason of the scarcity because they are not capable of meeting up with the demand.

I know that bus stop. The bus drivers are in the habit of leaving the service Lane and blocking the entire express at Jakonde, first and second rainbow bus stops to scout for passengers. Those bus drivers should be punished seriously because they are putting the lives of commuters in danger.

Not that I'm supporting Hausas cos they get there own plenty palaver but honestly an average igbo man is a tribalistic bigot. I recently liked their Biafran page on Facebook and it's sickening. The length they will go to to discredit Nigeria and cause agitation among their gullible followers. They post fake pictures and fake stories just to rile up themselves. It's obvious they are yet to learn from the casualties of the Civil War. They live and progress in other people's land more than any other tribe in Nigeria yet they are preaching hate and intolerance. And the comments from supposed educated igbo youths on the buafra page makes me dumbfounded at how people can be filled with so much venom and hate. This is the result. I hope they remember their kinsmen are in their millions in the north. God bless Nigeria.
I share you points. But honestly, if you read the pogrom of 1966 and the genocide against the Igbos in the Northern part of the country at different times, you will begin to see reasons for most of their "actions".

Cry me a river! Did you not see the letter from EFCC which shows the man has since been cleared? It even passed through the desk of the then Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF) under Jonathan, Anyim Pius Anyim. Why then is this silly counsel to Saraki bringing up the issue that has since been concluded again? Umar was even too cool on him.

If Saraki is found guilty, there's nothing you lots can do about it. You would only wail and wail!
