"But the Spirit of the Lord came upon Gideon; then he blew the trumpet, and the Abiezrites gathered behind him." (Judges 6:34 NKJV).

*Message*

When Bishop Oyedepo received God’s instruction to establish a world-class university, the resources were not fully there. Still, he acted in faith, acquiring land and laying the foundation. Today, Covenant University is one of the leading institutions in Africa. The initial trumpet blast of obedience opened the way for God to gather men, resources, and influence.

Malala Yousafzai has become a big name in global affairs, but she didn't start being big. As a young girl in Pakistan, Malala began speaking publicly about girls’ right to education—even when it was dangerous. She started with small blog posts under a pseudonym, sharing her experiences. That was her trumpet. Today, she is a Nobel Peace Prize laureate, and her voice has rallied global leaders, NGOs, and nations to support education for girls.

Dear reader, for emphasis sake, like Gideon, don’t wait until everything is perfect. Start with the trumpet in your hand. That trumpet could be your phone camera to record a short message, your pen to write an article or a book, your voice to start a small prayer meeting, your idea to start a business, ministry, or social project, etc.

Indeed, the Abiezrites will not gather until you blow the trumpet. Resources, people, and opportunities are waiting on your first step of faith. Don’t sit back after heaven has already backed you. Start small, but start now. Blow your trumpet today, and let God gather the army behind you.

*Message*

In today’s world, many people delay even after receiving clear direction, inspiration, or empowerment. Procrastination robs them of destiny. The Spirit of God may already be stirring your heart, but if you keep postponing, you’ll never gather the Abiezrites behind you. Heaven moves when you move.

When Pastor E A Adeboye received the mandate that “RCCG must be in every nation of the world”, he didn’t wait until the church had endless resources. He acted in faith—sending missionaries with little support, sometimes just a Bible and faith. Today, the Redeemed Christian Church of God has branches in over 190 nations.

The trumpet was blown, and God brought the people to gather behind the vision.

If you frequent YouTube today, chances are that you know MrBeast (Jimmy Donaldson), one of the most successful YouTubers in the world. Really, he didn’t begin with million-dollar giveaways or world-breaking videos. He started with simple, even “boring” videos like counting numbers on camera. But that was his trumpet. He stayed consistent, and God (with strategy) brought him influence and resources.

Many digital creators today miss their moment because they want to start big, not realizing it’s the first faithful trumpet blast that gathers momentum.

Like Gideon, you don’t need to storm the battlefield immediately. Just blow the trumpet in faith—start with the small, available step. Write the first blog. Post that first video. Launch that prayer group. Register that business name. Preach that first sermon. Publish that first book draft.

Don’t wait for the stage to be perfect before stepping into your assignment. Once the Spirit has given you the greenlight, act! The Abiezrites will not gather behind you until you blow the trumpet.

Dear reader, your “trumpet” may be small, but it’s the signal for heaven to rally resources and people around your destiny. Blow it today!

TOPIC: Expect Envys And Jealousies After Winning

"Now the men of Ephraim said to him, “Why have you done this to us by not calling us when you went to fight with the Midianites?” And they reprimanded him sharply." (Judges 8:1 NKJV).

*Message*

Gideon risked his life to fetch deliverance for the children of Israel. You would have thought he could now relax and probably go on a vacation immediately after the victory. But, no, the victory brought more issues (unnecessary issues fueled by envy and jealousy).

"Now the men of Ephraim said to him, “Why have you done this to us by not calling us when you went to fight with the Midianites?” And they reprimanded him sharply." (Judges 8:1 NKJV).

These were men cowardly hiding behind the shadows before now!

Dear reader, you don't have to go with the tides of annoyance by wrapping up yourself with their issues. Rather than allowing such persons to spoil your victory mood, simply deal with them in wisdom and retain your joy. That was what Gideon did:

"So he said to them, “What have I done now in comparison with you? Is not the gleaning of the grapes of Ephraim better than the vintage of Abiezer? [3] God has delivered into your hands the princes of Midian, Oreb and Zeeb. And what was I able to do in comparison with you?” Then their anger toward him subsided when he said that."

As new testament believers, it is easier for us when we "do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves, not looking to your own interests..." Philippians 2:3-4 NIV

When you obtain victory in your God-given assignments without selfish ambition or vain conceit (an inflated or exaggerated sense of one's own importance, abilities, or achievements), you are immune from the attacks of envious people.

*Message*

After Gideon reached the center of his assignment, it was written:

"Then the Lord said to Gideon, “By the three hundred men who lapped I will save you, and deliver the Midianites into your hand. Let all the other people go, every man to his place.” (Judges 7:7 NKJV)

Faith led Gideon to believe God’s word that he can win the great army of his enemies with just 300 men. God led Gideon to fulfill his assignment with unconventional strategies.

"So Gideon and the hundred men who were with him came to the outpost of the camp at the beginning of the middle watch, just as they had posted the watch; and they blew the trumpets and broke the pitchers that were in their hands. [20] Then the three companies blew the trumpets and broke the pitchers—they held the torches in their left hands and the trumpets in their right hands for blowing—and they cried, “The sword of the Lord and of Gideon!” [21] And every man stood in his place all around the camp; and the whole army ran and cried out and fled. [22] When the three hundred blew the trumpets, the Lord set every man’s sword against his companion throughout the whole camp; and the army fled to Beth Acacia, toward Zererah, as far as the border of Abel Meholah, by Tabbath." Judges 7:19-22 NKJV

Dear reader, you may already have your own polished strategy for running your race and engaging your vision, but faith must inform you to be flexible enough to allow God's Intelligence to disrupt your strategies with unconventional strategies. Heaven's strategies are tagged "unconventional" many times because God's ways are higher than ours. But when we follow by faith, it makes destiny fulfilment much more effective and efficient.

Trust God's unconventional strategies and wisdom.

*Message*

By faith, Gideon chose to align with heaven's agenda for the emancipation of his people. By faith, he rose in boldness following his encounter with the Lord, blowing the trumpet that attracted the first set of people who have been awaiting his rising. By faith, he also reached out to other sets of people that must be in his ship to fulfil the assignment - and they agreed to join forces with him.

However, when it was time for real business, God told Gideon:

"And the Lord said to Gideon, “The people who are with you are too many for Me to give the Midianites into their hands, lest Israel claim glory for itself against Me, saying, ‘My own hand has saved me.’ [3] Now therefore, proclaim in the hearing of the people, saying, ‘Whoever is fearful and afraid, let him turn and depart at once from Mount Gilead.’ ” And twenty-two thousand of the people returned, and ten thousand remained." (Judges 7:2-3 NKJV).

Imagine that! Unknown to Gideon, there are lots of people who only came forward for whatever motives that won't be helpful for the actualization of his assignment. In fact, after further screenings, another whopping 9,700 men were disqualified!

Dear reader, as you begin to rise in destiny, different people would crave joining your ship. However, you must realise that not everyone is meant to do life and destiny with you. So, be eager to allow God eradicate this category of people as soon as possible. Also, don't be sorrowful when certain "helpers" started leaving your life after a certain stage - it's all part of the plan!

*Message*

As soon as Gideon chose to take the necessary first steps towards the fulfilment of his God-given assignment, the people and resources he needs start pulling themselves to him. However, that was on the one hand. On the other hand, there were other sets of "destiny helpers" he had to reach out to:

"And he sent messengers throughout all Manasseh, who also gathered behind him. He also sent messengers to Asher, Zebulun, and Naphtali; and they came up to meet them." (Judges 6:35 NKJV).

In the previous verse, the Abiezrites automatically gathered behind him. But the Abiezrites were not the only set of people who had what it takes to help him with his assignment. So, what he did was to recognize these other set of people, and he simply reached out to them. The bible says, he reached out to "Manasseh", and they "also gathered behind him". Then, "he also sent messengers to Asher, Zebulun, and Naphtali; and they came up to meet them"

You are not the first person to get a big vision and assignments from the Lord. A lot of people had had bigger ones across the pages of human history, but some were unable to fulfil their assignments because they couldn't get the required help from the necessary people. Hence, you must engage faith to open your eyes to see those in the category of "Manasseh, Asher, Zebulun, and Naphtali."

Faith must equip you with the wisdom of how to sell your vision to these ones in such a way that they will be keen on risking it all to render the necessary assistance you need for your destiny actualization.

*Message*

When we were first introduced to Gideon, he was simply a burdened man doing his business in the shadows. Although he had a burden to do something for the emancipation of his people, he was clueless on how to go about it. He knew he would need people of like minds to carry out the assignment, but he doesn't think there remain anyone like that again in the country (years of oppression seem to have made all his countrymen cowards and weak).

However, as soon as he got the boldness to rise up and blow the trumpet, it was recorded that "the Abiezrites gathered behind him."

"the Spirit of the Lord came upon Gideon; then he blew the trumpet, and the Abiezrites gathered behind him." (Judges 6:34 NKJV).

So, unknown to him, the Abiezrites have been waiting for the first bold man that will rise up to blow the trumpet! The Abiezrites have been there all along. The fearful version of Gideon (or anyone else) would not have attracted them!

Dear reader, your "Abiezrites" (those that have what it takes to support your assignments) are all around you waiting for you to man up to blow the trumpet (take the first necessary steps). You might not recognise this set of people yet, but they are all around you, and they will be drawn to you when the version of you that meant business springs up.

Many times, your "destiny helpers" are also waiting for your emerging, your first steps towards your manifestation, before joining your boat, because they also need you in one way or another. The resources you need to sponsor your assignments are all around you! Attract them by taking the first necessary steps.

Ask the Lord to open your eyes to the first necessary steps that should be taken towards the fulfilment of the huge visons and tasks He has given you!

*Message*

Faith helps shift you from being myopic into a state of having broader views and insights. This worked for Gideon also. After Gideon was commissioned into his assignment, one of his driving forces into urgency was how he discovered he could actually be replaced if he didn't act fast. In other words, if he had delayed, God could have given someone else the assignment because its execution is time-based and urgent!

Dear reader, if God has commissioned you to do something and you decided to keep dragging your feet, you can be rest assured that God can never be stranded as there are several other potential replacements around. What heaven simply do is to extend the invitation to someone else willing to run God's errands with immediate effect!

Just to let you know. When heaven asked you to carry out a task, there are possibilities several others have been contacted first before you, but because they keep procrastinating (since they failed to allow faith to imbibe a sense of urgency in them and to help them see the possibility of a replacement), they were eventually replaced with you. I hope you won't allow heaven to replace you too.

Eventually, a few weeks before passing out as a corp member, I founded Talent To Prosperity Network. This is a social enterprise that engages in various Community Development activities across societies, trying to help as much as possible.

However, we give priority to empowering individuals to utilize their natural abilities to live a prosperous life. The emphasis is a fusion of talent utilisation and new technologies for prosperity.

A few weeks after I passed out as a Corper, TPN organised the Talent To Prosperity Conference in Lokoja, where over a hundred youths (mostly serving Corp Members) were equipped with knowledge like:

- Leveraging AI For Wealth Creation
- Leveraging Established Institutions For Talent Utilisation:
- Creativity, Character and Excellence

Emphasis was placed on Discovering, Developing, And Deploying Your Natural Talents In Today's Competitive World.

The 4-Month Digital Skills Empowerment Scheme Project

I observed certain issues many of the secondary school students in that area were facing, including:

1. Limited enlightenment on 21st century digital skills to connect with the global digital economy
2. Inadequate preparation for post-secondary education
3. Lack of exposure to mentors for direction and assistance

Hence, this Community Development project was designed to address these challenges by exposing the young ones to the necessary skills and information needed for the 21st century.

For many weeks, I kept showing up to ensure they learn digital skills like:
1. Cyber security
2. Networking
3. Artificial intelligence
4. Talent Utilisation Incorporating Technology

A Community Development Project: Make Water Run Again!

I identified areas still battling with dilapidated boreholes and water supplies. I decided to rise up to the task and solicit for resources to assist residents of Cemetery Junction Community to renovate their dilapidated borehole, so they won't struggle again getting good water.

On Thursday, 24th April 2025, I commissioned the project of renovation of a dilapidated borehole, and it was all joy.

Community Development Projects At Old Market, Lokoja

Also, in May 2025, I engaged in a sensitization of the traders at Old Market Lokoja, which also featured the donation of a brand new metal recycling bin for plastic and can. It was primarily focused on stiring up the traders to be more conscious of environmental cleanliness, as well as how their actions and inactions affect climate change.

I identified the importance of ensuring that the local people are adequately sensitized on the impact of their actions and inactions on climate change. According to UNESCO, "Climate change education helps people understand and address the impacts of the climate crisis, empowering them with the knowledge, skills, values and attitudes needed to act as agents of change."

The leader of the Traditional Council expressed his delight in the initiative and thanked me for efforts in ensuring the well-being of the market.

Upon graduating from the University of Ibadan in 2023, I was engrossed with so many activities, all productive. Eventually, I got the green light to serve Nigeria via the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) system, and I embarked on the rigorous process to become a corp member. I was posted to Kogi State, in North-Central Nigeria, and whilst I've lived in Western Nigeria all my life, I embraced the journey with all positivity.

One of the immediate pleasant things that happened was how NYSC became a platform that aided me in discovering my talent and passion for Community Development activities. I believe certain potential in us as humans requires certain platforms/environments for discovery. And while I was already deploying various other talents and skills prior to becoming a corp member, it was when I became a "Corper" that I discovered my natural talent in Community Development Services and Projects.

I started off immediately, knowing fully well that time waits for no one (knowing fully well that I will wake up one day only to see the one year service is over in a jiffy). I was bent on maximizing my Corp Member status because it easily opened doors for the required partnerships. Although the projects took from me a lot of efforts and resources, all things eventually worked together for my good.

I started off by organising an Inter-secondary School Debate Competition And Inauguration Of 4-Month Digital Skills Empowerment scheme for the young ones in Lokoja, Kogi State.

The event primarily focused on stiring up the secondary school students to utilize their smartphone device to invest this season of their lives acquiring innovative skills and abilities that can plug them into global opportunities and prosperity without being at the mercies of the limitations of their immediate societies.

The inter-secondary school debate competition was a starter to the conversation. After intelligent rounds of debates, representatives of Bishop Delisle College emerged winners and were given appropriate prizes for a job well done.

*Message*

Gideon caught the seed of faith, his encounter with the Lord helped boost it, and he faithfully played his role by acting upon it. Faith imbibed in him a sense of urgency, for as soon as "the Spirit of the Lord came upon Gideon; then he blew the trumpet, and the Abiezrites gathered behind him." (Judges 6:34 NKJV).

Dear reader, faith should shape you into having a sense of urgency to do God's work and fulfil your destiny before the wrapping of this age. There's no more a lot of time. Each moment counts! Each second and minute and hour count! No more endless relaxation! Develop a sense of urgency!

You know, we must go back to being constantly reminded of the truth of the rapture, the fact that the long anticipated rapture can happen any moment from now. This should always abide in our consciousness. We should always live with this reality, and it will keep spurring us up to have a sense of urgency to do God's work.

Do more evangelism! Intercession must be constant! Get busy with kingdom business! Maranatha!

*Message*

Following his superb encounter and commissioning, the Bible says, "But the Spirit of the Lord came upon Gideon; then he blew the trumpet, and the Abiezrites gathered behind him." (Judges 6:34 NKJV).

Immediately he was equipped with the Resource from heaven, he acted by blowing the trumpet. It was a trumpet of hope and summons. He acted in faith without wasting anymore time. Time waits for no one, so why waste time after receiving heaven's backing?

Many folks today, even after receiving the blessing of the Spirit, are still procrastinating and not doing anything meaningful towards the fulfilment of their assignments. Arise! Do something! Stop procrastinating!

Like Gideon, you must decide to act, by faith, on what the Spirit already deposited in you for the actualization of your life assignments. Like Gideon, take a quick step to blow the trumpet. Start from somewhere. Gideon didn't get started off by storming the enemy's territory for battle. Rather, he started with blowing the trumpet, which was a step towards the goal.

Dear reader, don't wait until all is fully furnished before making the first move towards the fulfilment of your God-given vision and assignments. Once the Spirit has given you the greenlight, start from somewhere! Blow the trumpet!

*Message*

Gideon was an imperfect man with faith. In Judges 6:17 "he said to Him, “If now I have found favor in Your sight, then show me a sign that it is You who talk with me."

In spite of all, he still needed to put up the sign of the fleece:

"So Gideon said to God, “If You will save Israel by my hand as You have said— [37] look, I shall put a fleece of wool on the threshing floor; if there is dew on the fleece only, and it is dry on all the ground, then I shall know that You will save Israel by my hand, as You have said.” [38] And it was so. When he rose early the next morning and squeezed the fleece together, he wrung the dew out of the fleece, a bowlful of water. [39] Then Gideon said to God, “Do not be angry with me, but let me speak just once more: Let me test, I pray, just once more with the fleece; let it now be dry only on the fleece, but on all the ground let there be dew.” [40] And God did so that night. It was dry on the fleece only, but there was dew on all the ground." Judges 6:36-40 NKJV

As a new testament believer, you know better, by the Holy Spirit who dwells in you. Unlike Gideon, we don't put God's word to test via a fleece! We are led by God's Spirit through faith, and not by a fleece. As far as direction in destiny is concerned, we first look inward.

Hence, whenever the Spirit of Faith is leading you towards the path of an assignment that seems very much bigger than you are, believe and latch upon the tides of faith! If you are not sure of anything, simply talk to God, and He knows what to do to help strengthen your faith.

*Message*

From the case of Gideon, we could see that God always gives assignments that look much greater and bigger than you. This is so because God is not seeing things the way we see (His ways are higher than ours) and He sure isn't seeing you the way you casually see yourself (He sees someone very special and wonderful when He looks at you).

Nevertheless, at times, when you don't have the full picture of what God would have you do, like Gideon, it's okay to ask questions, not from a place of doubt, but from a sincere heart that needs clarifications. God being so good and understanding would grant you more light to that which He has in mind.

To go a step further, "And the Lord said to him, “Surely I will be with you, and you shall defeat the Midianites as one man.” Judges 6:16 NKJV

The Lord will reassure you of His presence. When the Lord is with you, it is the greatest leverage you need to become very great in life and become all He has destined you to be. God with you means you have heaven's backing to fulfil your assignments, and resources will be pulled towards your direction without compromising.

*Message*

Gideon grew to become a giant of faith quite alright, but he didn't start there. Even after the Lord gave him the word, he wasn't still sure, for he said:

“O my Lord, how can I save Israel? Indeed my clan is the weakest in Manasseh, and I am the least in my father’s house.” (Judges 6:15 NKJV).

You see, it doesn't matter the terrible state of the tribe or lineage you emanated from in the flesh. Faith in Christ sets you apart, and you become one who proceeds from God Himself. Faith empowers you to live above the limitations of your background in the flesh.

Your race or ancestry may be so weak, disadvantaged, and deemed insignificant in the global scheme of things. However, when the Lord breathes His word upon you and you act upon it by faith, you will definitely rise in faith as a mighty warrior backed by God.

Remember, you are a new creature, now of the tribe of the Christ, the Lion of Judah. You have access to the manifold wealth and possibilities of the new creation realities. Rise! In Jesus Name!

*Message*

The Lord was speaking to Gideon in Judges 6:14 just as He is speaking to you too today:

“Go in this might of yours, and you shall save Israel from the hand of the Midianites. Have I not sent you?”

The Midianites are God's enemies. In today’s context, the Midianites represent individuals and systems and cultures that have risen to frustrate the agenda of God and the manifestation of His perfect Will. And God has chosen you, dear reader, as His warrior to defeat these Midianites.

So, you are a sent one. Incredibly, God anoints those He sent to accomplish His purposes. Hence, you are an anointed one! You have been anointed to rise as a deliverer! Deliver individuals and systems under the siege of the enemy!

God had to help Gideon to recognise the measure of "might" embedded inside of him. Dear reader, you have a measure of might in you that is sufficient to turn the world around in God's Will! Don't look down on yourself! Your might can be concentrated in your natural talents, your intellect, your mastered skills, your outstanding personality, etc. Most importantly, if you are a Christian, you have the Holy Ghost in you! You are a mighty person who carries the Mighty One!

*Message*

We have seen how the man Gideon shows us that frustration is often the seed of a calling. If you are so particularly frustrated over something specific around you, let's say the high rate of sexual immorality, or poverty, or drug abuse, or prostitution, or political corruption, etc, it could be that there's a seed in you to effect a change over that problem.

Like Gideon, you may seem so small and insignificant in your own eyes, but God sees you beyond your current state. He knows the power and preciousness of the seed He had embedded in you, knowing how hefty your potential is if worked upon.

While others grow numb to hardship, the one who keeps questioning, “Why can’t things be different?” is often the one God calls to make a difference. Therefore, don't settle for anything less than God's perfect Will, even if the status quo has been so for many years before you were born.

Remember, God doesn’t wait until you feel mighty. Rather, He meets you in hiding, speaks destiny over you, and sends you in the very strength you already have but don’t recognize. Where are you right now? Look around, the Lord is encountering you! Open your eyes to see fresh insight and wisdom!

In South Africa, a woman endured years of domestic abuse. Her neighbors and family told her, “That’s just how life is, endure it.” But she kept secretly journaling, praying, and visualizing a safe life. Finally, she found the courage to report to the appropriate authorities and began a nonprofit to support other survivors.

Today, she has helped hundreds of women escape cycles of violence. Like Gideon, she questioned: “Why is this happening if God is with me?” Yet God was preparing her to be a deliverer for others.

In the Middle East, a small group of believers lived under heavy persecution. Most stayed quiet, blending into society to avoid danger. But one young man studied scripture daily and prayed secretly for boldness. Eventually, he started sharing his testimony one-on-one.

Within years, a house church network emerged, touching hundreds of lives despite the risks. Just like Gideon hiding in the winepress, he began in secret, but God raised him to challenge a system of fear.

Gideon was hiding, working in fear, adapting to a defeated lifestyle like everyone else around him. Yet in his heart, he was restless, thinking about freedom, wondering why God’s promises weren’t showing up, and dreaming of something beyond survival.

God came to him in that hidden, discouraged place and called out what no one else could see: “You are a mighty man of valor. You will be the one to change the story."

Many young people finish school with hope, only to face years of unemployment. Some resign to “hustling anyhow.” But a young graduate in Nigeria, despite repeated rejection letters, kept learning digital skills online every night. Friends mocked him for “dreaming too big.”

One day, a mentor spotted his work on LinkedIn, connected him to a global freelance opportunity, and within a year, he was not only employed but teaching others how to break into online careers.

Like Gideon, while others accepted the status quo, he prepared quietly. Then God used him as a channel of breakthrough.

*Message*

Here's how the Bible introduced us to the man Gideon:

"Now the Angel of the Lord came and sat under the terebinth tree which was in Ophrah, which belonged to Joash the Abiezrite, while his son Gideon threshed wheat in the winepress, in order to hide it from the Midianites. [12] And the Angel of the Lord appeared to him, and said to him, “The Lord is with you, you mighty man of valor!” [13] Gideon said to Him, “O my lord, if the Lord is with us, why then has all this happened to us? And where are all His miracles which our fathers told us about, saying, ‘Did not the Lord bring us up from Egypt?’ But now the Lord has forsaken us and delivered us into the hands of the Midianites.” [14] Then the Lord turned to him and said, “Go in this might of yours, and you shall save Israel from the hand of the Midianites. Amid the nation's turmoil and hopelessness, Gideon has caught a measure of faith, which he has been silently nurturing via exploring the accounts of the past deeds of God with the ancestors. While yet untrained in the matters of faith, there was something growing in him set to do exploits on God's side.

Take note, immediately the Angel saluted him, the first thing he said was ", “O my lord, if the Lord is with us, why then has all this happened to us? And where are all His miracles which our fathers told us about, saying, ‘Did not the Lord bring us up from Egypt?’ But now the Lord has forsaken us and delivered us into the hands of the Midianites.”

Those words are an expression of discontentment! And that should be one of the things that drew the attention of the Angel to Gideon in the first place for that assignment, ignoring other strong warriors in town. While others have gotten so used to the hard times and situation and settled for the status quo, Gideon was meditating every day on breaking free via exploits.

Faith doesn’t settle for less. Faith craves for exploits in God!

*Message*

The TPT of our focus scripture says , "Faith provided a way of escape for Rahab the prostitute, avoiding the destruction of the unbelievers, because she received the Hebrew spies in peace."

The destruction of unbelievers is closer than many think, and it's necessary to place emphasis on this truth. First, so that an unbeliever will take quick steps to turn to the Lord and avoid their sinful ways. Secondly, to encourage believers to do all other takes to partner with the Lord to bring unbelievers unto repentance.

"For as in the days before the flood, they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, [39] and did not know until the flood came and took them all away, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be." (Matthew 24:38-39 NKJV).

Although an unbeliever can walk into destruction with his or her lifestyle at this time and world, it will be more brutal after the close of the door of grace, upon the rapture of the Saints and coming of the Son of Man.

Hence, Jesus warned: "Watch therefore, for you do not know what hour your Lord is coming. [43] But know this, that if the master of the house had known what hour the thief would come, he would have watched and not allowed his house to be broken into. [44] Therefore you also be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect." Matthew 24:42-44 NKJV

As faith provided a route of escape for Rahab, faith in Christ Jesus will provide a route of salvation for the greatest sinner. Jesus is the Way out! Walk on the narrow Way that leads to life!

*Message*

In many African and Western countries, testimonies abound of women once trapped in sex work who found Christ. One such woman in Lagos, Nigeria, was rescued by a faith-based NGO. Today, she is an outspoken advocate for girls at risk of trafficking.

Like Rahab, she was once defined by her past, but her faith aligned her with God’s mission, giving her dignity and influence.

A businessman once caught in financial fraud could have perished with others in the corruption scandal. Instead, he confessed, accepted responsibility, and rebuilt his career by championing corporate transparency.

Like Rahab, he separated himself from those “who did not believe” in truth and justice, and by faith, his life was spared and repurposed

Dear reader, your past mistakes or labels don’t define your future. Faith is about choosing God’s way, even when it’s risky or unpopular. Aligning with God and His people gives you a legacy beyond survival.

*Message*

If a woman with a broken reputation (a prostitute) in a corrupt city could believe God’s promises, acted in faith, and aligned herself with God’s people (and was spared destruction, became part of Israel’s story, and even entered Jesus’ genealogy), then I want to tell you that your past does not disqualify you. Rather, faith and courage can give you a future.

Let's consider a popular man who was addicted to drugs for over a decade, but decided to join a Christian recovery program. Society had written him off, much like Rahab was judged by her label. By faith, he surrendered to Christ, and now he runs a rehab center helping others find freedom. Like Rahab, he chose a different path when destruction was imminent, and his faith gave him a new identity.

In Los Angeles, a former gang member known for violence encountered Jesus through prison ministry. He chose to protect and mentor young people instead of destroying them. Today, he pastors a thriving church, leading many out of the cycle he once lived in. Rahab hid the spies at great risk. This man today shows similar courage, turning from destruction to become a channel of peace.

Faith in Christ rewrites your story!

*Message*

Rahab the harlot received the spies with peace, and because of that, she didn't perish with other unbelievers in her nation. In the same vein, any sinner who received God's gospel and believed by faith, is saved from perishing with other unbelievers around.

It is true that unbelievers are heading towards destruction and bound to perish by their own decision and freewill, except they repent and accept Jesus as Lord and Saviour, embracing God's way of righteousness. John 3:16 -
"For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life."

So, the unbelieving sinner is heading to destruction, but what saves them from not perishing for all eternity is to be infused with eternal life (the God-kind of life) through faith in Christ.

Dear reader, have compassion for those unbelievers around you because they are going to perish if they fail to repent. Your compassion should drive you to intercede for them so that faith is ignite in their heart; then preach God's word to them so they can believe and be saved. Amen.
