TOPIC: Run For Your Life; Escape To The Mountains! (3)

Scripture:
Genesis 19:17,26 NKJV
[17] So it came to pass, when they had brought them outside, that he said, “Escape for your life! Do not look behind you nor stay anywhere in the plain. Escape to the mountains, lest you be destroyed.” [26] But his wife looked back behind him, and she became a pillar of salt.


*Message*

What happens when you've turned back from running unto perfection, due to weariness? Well, unlike Lot's wife who couldn't obtain the grace for a second chance (she instantly turned into a pillar of salt), you still have the grace to make things right with God your Creator before it's too late.

Ezekiel 18:23 -
"Do I take any pleasure in the death of the wicked? declares the Sovereign Lord. Rather, am I not pleased when they turn from their ways and live?"

Turn back to the Way that leads to the mountain of salvation and perfection, and God will be pleased with you. He is always eager to help you please Him and walk in the righteous Way good for your destiny.

2 Peter 3:9 -

"The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance."

Come back to Jesus and align yourself again with His perfect will for your life, and you will be saved.

Finally, 1 John 1:9 - "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness."

TOPIC: Run For Your Life; Escape To The Mountains! (2)

Scripture:

*Message*

So, a path of salvation had been opened to Lot and his family via the beauty of God's mercy. The family was helped to go through a path of salvation that ensures they won't be destroyed with the rest of the sinful people. However, there was another instruction that warned them not to look back as they raced to the mountain of salvation.

Unfortunately, the wife of Lot, still attached to the old sinful paths of sodom and gomorrah, looked back and destruction.

"But his wife looked back behind him, and she became a pillar of salt."

As Christians, we have been saved from the eminent destruction coming upon this sinful earth and its ungodly worldly systems. However, we have been instructed by the LORD to ensure we never look back as we race towards the mountain of perfection.

Luke 9:62 - But Jesus said to him, “No one, having put his hand to the plow, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God.”

We have been saved; we are being saved; and we shall be saved. We must keep pressing into perfection and must detach completely from the ungodly worldly culture. Hence, like Lot's wife, such individual backslide into destruction.

Hebrews 6:4-6 - For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted the heavenly gift, and have become partakers of the Holy Spirit, [5] and have tasted the good word of God and the powers of the age to come, [6] if they fall away, to renew them again to repentance, since they crucify again for themselves the Son of God, and put Him to an open shame."

*Message*

You should be familiar with the story of the destruction of sodom and gomorrah. The land was given to so much corruption and perversion, and they attracted the consequences of their actions - destruction!

However, in the midst of the ongoing evil in the land, Lot and his family decided to turn their back to the societal trend of sinfulness and embrace the paths of God's righteousness despite all odds. For this purpose, when the time of destruction came, he received mercy for salvation, but with the instructions: "Run for your life; Escape to the mountains!"

Today, we live in a very corrupt and perverted generation, whose sinfulness exceeds that of sodom and gomorrah. One thing is certain, this current earth must be purged of its sinfulness, and evil people (dead or alive) must reap the painful rewards of their evil. It is on this note that the word of God is preaching to you, to: "Run for your life; Escape to the mountains!"

Come out from the sinfulness of this generation, and escape to the Rock of Ages - Jesus Christ the Son of God. Embrace Jesus as Lord and Savior and shun all forms of sinfulness. By so doing, you will be saved.

2 Corinthians 6:17 - "Therefore come out from them and be separate, says the Lord. Touch no unclean thing, and I will receive you."

TOPIC: The Sacrificial Attitude Of God

Scripture:

John 3:16 NKJV
[16] For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.

*Message*

Since God excels in love as part of His nature, it is only understandable that He has put on the garment of sacrifice, as genuine love can't flourish in isolation from sacrifice.

Incredibly, GOD has been making sacrifices just to ensure the well-being of His creatures, right from inception. He took this to a higher level with His beloved mankind when He came in the flesh to suffer and die for our sins. John 3:16 -

"For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life."

A sacrificial person looks away from themselves just to ensure things are right with others. Hence, we become as He is as we grow in sacrificial living in line with His perfect will for us.

Sacrifice is synonymous with giving. Therefore, we should always be ready to give ourselves, give our possessions, give our time, etc, just to please God. Nothing should be too big to give to God, for He gave you His all in the first place.

TOPIC: The Eternal/Visionary Nature Of God

Scripture:

"For I am God, and there is no other; I am God, and there is none like Me, declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times things that are not yet done....Indeed I have spoken it; I will also bring it to pass. I have purposed it; I will also do it" Isaiah 46:9-11)

*Message*

One of the verses of scripture that opened us up to the visionary attitudes of Yahweh, is Revelation 13:8 - where we are informed of the Lamb slain before the foundation of the world.

It means that even before God started the project of the creation of the universe, God has seen the very far future and knew man will fall. He didn't just fold His arms, but before then, He took the necessary steps in carrying out the act many years before Jesus would eventually be hung on the tree.

GOD is more than a Prophet. He walks in a greater dimension that makes Him Omniscient - the All-knowing God. Not just this, but every of His actions usually have eternal implications. Meaning, GOD is a visionary God who is not myopic. He is not limited to the now, but always works with the future and eternity at heart (which is one reason He keeps outsmarting the devil who is myopic and always concerned of the now).

As sons and daughters of God, we shouldn't be myopic but visionary. We shouldn't do things without considering its futuristic implications and, most importantly, its eternal implications. This should help us avoid doing things with immediate satisfaction and futuristic nasty consequences. Also, this should empower us to plan ahead as we live our lives.

TOPIC: The Just Nature/Dimension Of God

Scripture:

"But just as he who called you is holy, so be holy in all you do; for it is written: "Be holy, because I am holy" 1 Peter 1:15-16

*Message*

When studying scriptures with the lens of the Spirit, one of the immediate things you quickly discover is that God is a God of justice, and He doesn't joke with this. When we say God is just, we mean that He is perfectly righteous in His treatment of His creatures. God shows no partiality, and justice is in His DNA.

"The Rock, His work is perfect, for all His ways are justice. A God of faithfulness and without iniquity, just and upright is He." - Deuteronomy 32:4

"Righteousness and justice are the foundation of Your throne, steadfast love and faithfulness go before you." (Psalm 89:14)

Justice, in its simplest form, means to set things right. As Christians, we must make it a lifestyle to always uphold justice. In your own life, you must avoid cheating and maltreating others. Remember, everyone is important in the sight of GOD, even the unbelievers. In scripture, we saw how God at various times rose up to avenge unbelievers and gentiles.

Also, we gain heaven's respect when we are always eager to defend the right of others when they are maltreated and cheated. The truth is, everyone of us carries within us an innate sense of right and wrong. What happens when a criminal is let go? We express our indignation. Why? We want justice.

Acts 10:34 - So Peter opened his mouth and said, "Truly I understand that God shows no partiality."

We also saw how justice means a lot to Jesus Christ when He was still here. The issue of injustice was one core reason why he kept having problems with the pharisees.

"But woe to you Pharisees! For you tithe mint and rue and every herb, and neglect justice and the love of God. These you ought to have done without neglecting the others" (Luke 11:42)

TOPIC: The Holy Nature Of God

Scripture:
"But just as he who called you is holy, so be holy in all you do; for it is written: "Be holy, because I am holy" 1 Peter 1:15-16

*Message*

The Will of God is that humanity will ensure an intimate righteous relationship with Him, because it's on this basis that we can be empowered for true dominion. Every human thus is expected and destined to tabernacle God in them. But this won't be possible when we don't know Holiness, and when it's not a reality with us. So, the reason many people are yet to enter the level of God they are destined for is because they kept defiling themselves, pushing themselves from God. God will never compromise His Holiness standards.

In fact, center to God's character is His quality of Holiness. God's Holiness is the essence of who He is.

"Make every effort to live in peace with everyone and to be holy; without holiness no one will see the Lord." Hebrews 12:14

The reason many young believers today are yet to touch God as did our fathers, is because we are still defaulters in the Holiness equation. We might be learned than then, and might even speak in tongues more than them, but one of the major reasons we don't have the type of result they had, is because they still excel us in purity and holiness.

We only seek power and manifestations, but we don't seek holiness.

"He has saved us and called us to a holy life" 2 Timothy 1:9

Holiness is not a legalistic affair. Holiness is not a series of do's and don't s. Holiness is about conforming to the character of God and obedience to the will of God. One of our fathers of faith told us holiness is simply doing what God asked to do, and not doing the things He asked us not to do.

TOPIC: The Love Dimension/Nature Of God

Scripture:
"For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten son, that whosoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life" (John 3:16)

*Message*

Right from when God decided to create the human race, He has been portraying Himself as a Lover. It was amazing to the angels how the Great God started visit Man, made from the dust, in the garden of Eden.

As if that wasn't enough, after Man messed up, He didn't only covered the so-called unclothedness of Adam and Eve, but still decided to come to the earth, in the womb of His creatures, to be disgraced by men. It was love. So scripture says, "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten son, that whosoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life" (John 3:16)

That eternal life became a precious gesture of love of His. For He gave us His own very life, that sets us on the pedestal of fulfilment both here on earth and in eternity - anyone who engages this eternal life will become empowered to have dominion - which is our destiny.

Anyone who wants to explore God successfully must know Love, as Adam knew Eve and produced offsprings (proofs). When you know God and have engaged His love, we should see a great measure of the fruits of the Spirit as proof.

Jesus was asked what the greatest commandment was, and He told them: "You shall love the LORD your GOD with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself. On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets." Matthew 22:36-40

So, Love is a garment you must put on if you will be like God.

TOPIC: The Need For Today's Young People To Place Greater Priority On Exploring God

Scripture:

Jeremiah 9:24 NKJV

[24] But let him who glories glory in this, That he understands and knows Me, That I am the Lord, exercising lovingkindness, judgment, and righteousness in the earth. For in these I delight,” says the Lord.

*Message*

This generation is one with a lot of issues and very curious too. In Daniel 12:3, there was a prophecy that, in the end time, knowledge shall increase. Knowledge is a food to the soul, and one of its features is that it is amoral in nature. That is to say, knowledge can be constructive or destructive - depending on how you approach it.

However, for many young people today, the more knowledge they acquire, the more questions about life they encounter. The more unanswered questions they see, the wider the void they experience in their soul. This has led many young people into unwholesome practices, like spiritism, zodiac exploration, etc.

Let's be realistic. Perhaps you reading this right now has certain unanswered questions deep down in you. In fact, for some, due to one reason or another, they can't even ask anybody - and it can be dangerous to continue ignoring those things. An answer can come from a source that would lure you to start questioning the things you know about God.

Hence, we have to emphasize the importance of going beyond knowing about God, to knowing God. In fact, going beyond the knowledge of God in the Bible, to knowing God intimately. When you know God indeed, it doesn't matter what comes your way, your faith becomes unshakable.

1 John 3:2 made us realize that when He is revealed to us, when we see Him as He is, we become like Him... And since He is unshakable and immoveable, it means we will also become unshakable and immoveable. It starts from making a decision to explore God and know Him as He is.

A lot of things will come in these last days to try and challenge our belief systems. Please move from a coporate knowledge of God to a personal and unique knowledge of God. Explore God in your secret place.

TOPIC: Are You A Member Of The Holy Nation?

I Peter 2:9 NKJV
[9] But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light;

*Message*

God has always craved having a people separated unto Him on earth, who He can always make boost to be His own special people. Many years ago, He called out Abraham from a corrupt generation and empowered him to walk differently from the course of the corrupt world.

It extends to the immediate lineage of Abraham, the children of Israel. God was very meticulous about them, always giving them principles and rules that transcends the corrupt course of the corrupt world and its corrupt systems. In Exodus 19:6 He told them -

"and you shall be to Me a kingdom of priests and a holy nation.’ These are the words that you shall speak to the sons of Israel.”

Today, in Christ Jesus, every single one of us is destined to be a member of God's holy nation. A nation unlike other nations - a nation consecrated to God's service, characterised by purity and holiness. This must be our trademarks.

It starts with surrending your life to Jesus. Hence, if you are yet to accept Jesus as Lord and Savior, you can do so right now. Open your heart and ask Him to come in - and He will come.

Remember, grace is not a license to continue in sin.

TOPIC: Knowing Priesthood Experientially (3)

Scripture:

Exodus 19:6 -
"and you shall be to Me a kingdom of priests and a holy nation.’ These are the words that you shall speak to the sons of Israel.”

*Message*

The Ministry of Priesthood is an eternal ordination. From the Old Testament, right into eternity, God has been revealing how He greatly desires that His people should be a kingdom of priests.

Exodus 19:6 -
"and you shall be to Me a kingdom of priests and a holy nation.’ These are the words that you shall speak to the sons of Israel.”

God was speaking here and take note that He was not referring to a particular set of people, but to everyone of the Israelities, both male and female. The "sons" here is generic, like when you used man" to refer to both male and female.

It is God's Will that they should exercise "lordship over death, the devil, hell, and all evil." Additionally, they would exercise lordship over the Gentiles. But all these can only be possible if they are faithful to the holy and sacrificial demands of priesthood. But since they couldn't, they missed out on a whole lot of things.

So when God ordained the levetical priesthood, it is to give the people a basic glimpse of the physical consecration and government attached to priesthood - God is not really interested in priesthood by material things (stones, wood, animal sacrifices, etc). Hence, the Levitical priesthood was never intended to be permanent (Hebrews 7:11, 12).

God's original perfect Will and design for them was that each of them should be "priests," drawing near to God directly in prayer and praise, and also act as intermediaries between God and the Gentiles, to whom they were to be examples, instructors, prophets.

TOPIC: Knowing Priesthood Experientially (2)

I Peter 2:9 NKJV
[9] But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light;

*Message*

Throughout Scripture, God has always made known His intentions of seeing every human operate as priests - mobile priests, mobile carriers of God's altars whose bodies becomes both the altar and sacrifice, and keeps raising sweet incense unto the Lord.

Even in the garden of Eden, Adam was engaging in a form of priesthood, which kept enacting his dominion in his territory. This should tell us that if we want to dominate and rule our world, then priesthood is something we must gain mastery of.

In Revelation 1:6, we see that He has already made us kings and priests. Known that priesthood should first be in place. Indeed, the quality of your priesthood determines the quality of your rulership and authority.

The excellency of your priesthood must be strong and power the extent of your ruling as a king. Priesthood is the main deal. Once you get priesthood right, you will easily dominate as a king.

TOPIC: Knowing Priesthood Experientially

*Message*

We should not merely have a head knowledge of priesthood. Rather, any exposure to the subject of priesthood should stir us up to maximize our full ordinations as priests of God.

Theologians told us that the doctrine of the priesthood of all believers is that all humans have access to God through Christ, the true high priest, and therefore do not need a priestly mediator. So, the doctrine of priesthood of all believers in its simple form is that all believers in Christ share in his priestly status, eliminating any special classes.

Moving further, we will discover that priesthood is synonymous with legislation. It is possible for a human to ascend into the heavens by the Spirit and in the spirit and engage the Divine over the affairs of a subset of this world (or for a particular aim), to ensure perfect conformity with God's perfect Will.

Hence, the priest (who can be very an unknown young believers, without necessarily needing to occupy a spiritual ministerial office) can legislate over their territory, over a people, over a generation, over systems and structures, etc. You can, from the high heavens, prompt a court sitting of the immortals over the affairs and destinies of what/who you are legislating for.

TOPIC: Sound Doctrine As A System Of Security/Preservation In These Last Days (4)

Scripture:

II Peter 2:1 NKJV
[1] But there were also false prophets among the people, even as there will be false teachers among you, who will secretly bring in destructive heresies, even denying the Lord who bought them, and bring on themselves swift destruction.

*Message*

Don't forget that the peculiarities of the presentation of deformed truth is that the agencies of the devil proceed to lace or mix his lies with certain truths to make it appear real.

Let's explore Genesis chapter 3:

"And he (the devil) said to the woman, “Has God indeed said, ‘You shall not eat of every tree of the garden’?”

*Note:* It is true that God has placed a restriction on them not to eat from a particular tree. But it is a lie that they should not eat from every tree.

Let's continue.

"And the woman said to the serpent, “We may eat the fruit of the trees of the garden; but of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God has said, ‘You shall not eat it, nor shall you touch it, lest you die.’ ” Then the serpent said to the woman, “You will not surely die. For God knows that in the day you eat of it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.”

*Note*: The devil called God a liar - which is a lie (it is a lie to call God a liar because God is True and Truth, and He doesn't lie).

The idea is to show how he keeps ensuring a mixture of truth and lies for mischievous intents. We should, however, know that when the truth is mixed with a lie, it becomes dirty and is as good as a lie.

Let's see another case study in Matthew 4:6 -

"and (the devil) said to Him (Jesus), “If You are the Son of God, throw Yourself down. For it is written: ‘He shall give His angels charge over you,’ and, ‘In their hands they shall bear you up, Lest you dash your foot against a stone.’ ”

The scripture the devil quoted is a truth from God's word. However, in that context and situation, it has been mixed with a lie, and it was presented on the platform of a lie (because the devil is the father of all lies and liars). Hence, if Jesus had believed what the devil said to be true, He would have been in trouble.

Many times, there is a thin line between truth and lie. In today's world, where we love "deep things and lofty mysterious revelations," we must be more cautious to not ignorantly veer off the paths of truth.


Being sound in doctrine will prove to be a system of preservation today. Give great priority to studying and meditating on God's word. The word of God can always be used to discern what is pure and true without a mixture of lies.

TOPIC: Sound Doctrine As A System Of Security/Preservation In These Last Days (3)

Scripture:

II Peter 2:1 NKJV
[1] But there were also false prophets among the people, even as there will be false teachers among you, who will secretly bring in destructive heresies, even denying the Lord who bought them, and bring on themselves swift destruction.

*Message*

We have established the fact that false doctrines will be on the rise in these last days, and some Christians will unfortunately fall for them. Also, false teachers will be on the rise, and being sound in doctrine will prove to be a system of preservation.

Now, let me continue today by emphasising a strategy the devil has always used to sell false doctrine - it is what I called "the presentation of an initial truth or deformed truth." What this strategy entails is that the agencies of the devil start by saying the truth to gain trust and acquire reputation.

In Acts chapter 16, we saw something along this line.

[16] Now it happened, as we went to prayer, that a certain slave girl possessed with a spirit of divination met us, who brought her masters much profit by fortune-telling. [17] This girl followed Paul and us, and cried out, saying, “These men are the servants of the Most High God, who proclaim to us the way of salvation.” [18] And this she did for many days. But Paul, greatly annoyed, turned and said to the spirit, “I command you in the name of Jesus Christ to come out of her.” And he came out that very hour."

So, at first, the possessed girl would declare: “These men are the servants of the Most High God, who proclaim to us the way of salvation.” This is the truth. She was presenting a truth so that the other disciples in the city would believe she was filled with the Spirit of God. Then, after getting a reputation to be of God, as soon as Paul leaves the city, she will start propagating false and evil doctrines. Since she had presented an initial truth when Paul was around, the baby believers around would think her false doctrine is a continuation of the truth, and many of them will be swept away.

The peculiarities of the presentation of deformed truth is that the agencies of the devil proceed to lace or mix his lies with certain truths to make it appear real. Don't fall for it!

The herald of false doctrines are false teachers. Listen, false teachers will be on the rise in these last days. You should also know that a false teacher is more dangerous than a false prophet.

You see, with a stronger rod and authority in the realm of the spirit, you can undo the bad fruits produced by the activities of a false prophet. But when a false teacher successfully indoctrinate a people, it takes very hard labour to change their belief. The devil would rely more on the services of false teachers than even false prophets.

Hence, today, you should be meticulous and careful about those you listen to. Rather, you should give more priority to the Word of God above anything else. Don't be part of folks with a crowd mentality who just quickly tilt towards the trendy stuff without checking its rightness.

Being sound in doctrine will prove to be a system of preservation. Apart from the gift of discernment, the word of God can be used to discern authentic and opposites.

Spiritual growth and gaining expertise in the things of the Spirit, is one cool step at a time. Don't hastily crumble into destruction in your carnal eagerness to handle what's still higher than your current level.

Scripture:

*Message*

Apostle Paul wrote to Timothy his son, and to us. He started off by highlighting the fact that the words he's writing here are the express words of the LORD and not his own opinion. "Now the Spirit expressly says that in latter times some will depart from the faith, giving heed to deceiving spirits and doctrines of demons,"

Latter times signifies the last days before the second advent of our Lord Jesus. If you are a spiritually healthy Christian, you will know we are in that era. Now, based on biblical prophecies, two major things that will characterised the last days are:
1. More will people will come into the faith.
2. The great apostasy or falling away

[2] Now it shall come to pass in the latter days That the mountain of the Lord’s house Shall be established on the top of the mountains, And shall be exalted above the hills; And all nations shall flow to it. (Isaiah 2:2 NKJV)
On the other hand:

"Let no one deceive you by any means; for that Day will not come unless the falling away comes first, and the man of sin is revealed, the son of perdition, (II Thessalonians 2:3)

Also, Hebrews 3:12 warns - "Beware, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief in departing from the living God;" Note that he was speaking to Believers. It's obvious then that there's a possibility that the faith in your heart can snatched by the devil and the void filled with unbelief that will result in backsliding

So, according to I Timothy 4:1 some will dump the faith via "giving heed to deceiving spirits" (entails different activities powered by the kingdom of hell) and (most especially) "doctrines of demons" (there will be different activities from hell to kill faith in the heart of Believers and make them backslide, but the most prominent will be through false doctrines)

There is sound doctrine (powered by proven biblical truth) and we have false doctrine (powered by demons). False doctrines will be on the rise in these days, and some Christians will unfortunately fall for them. Hence, it is important to equip Believers for the fulfillment of end time prophecies.

TOPIC: It Takes Hard Labour To Excavate Sound Doctrine From The Bible

Scripture:

I Timothy 5:17 - Let the elders who rule well be counted worthy of double honor, especially those who labor in the word and doctrine.

*Message*

Hard efforts and labour are required to know sound doctrine from the Bible. If you want to be accurate with God, if you want to be a sound and balanced believer, you must know doctrine.

This is beyond reading the bible. It is on another level. It involves sitting with the Bible and gathering truths from Genesis to Revelations, under specific categories. For instance, you want to study love so as to know the biblical doctrine for the subject of love. You start from Genesis and start highlighting where love was talked upon. Why was it there? Compare with other parts that talked about same, etc.

Doctrine summarizes the truths of the Bible—synthesizing and condensing its teaching. For example, the doctrine of the atonement pulls together many biblical passages that deal with God’s forgiveness of sin—from the Old Testament animal sacrifices all the way to the death of Christ on the cross, bearing our sins and suffering God’s wrath in our place.

Since it is based on the Scriptures, doctrine bears the weighty responsibility of rightly reflecting the words God breathed out through the biblical writers who were “carried along” by his Spirit (2 Tim. 3:16; 2 Pet. 1:21).

Today, the average Believer is ignorant of a lot of things that pertain to our faith and true spirituality and the features of the kingdom because we don't labor in doctrine.

If you want to grow in the word of God, then you must labour in doctrine.

TOPIC: Sound Doctrine Is Meant To Be Endured, And Not Necessarily Enjoyed

Scripture:

II Timothy 4:3-4: "For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, because they have itching ears, they will heap up for themselves teachers; and they will turn their ears away from the truth, and be turned aside to fables."

*Message*

The first thing to note is "not endure sound doctrine." It other words, sound doctrine is meant to be endured. The reason is that sound doctrine is based on and presented on the foundation and platform of truth. And we all know truth can be bitter. Due to the perverted configuration of the fallen nature of man, the average human either avoids the truth or bluntly fights the truth when confronted with it.

It has always been so, even in the days of Jesus. John 6:60 says: "Therefore many of His disciples, when they heard this, said, “This is a hard saying; who can understand it?” Because of this, they stopped following Him!

So Paul wrote to Timothy, educating him that the time will come when people will not endure sound doctrine. Don't forget that even in the time of Paul, the same was happening too.

Then because they couldn't endure sound doctrine, "but according to their own desires, because they have itching ears, they will heap up for themselves teachers; and they will turn their ears away from the truth, and be turned aside to fables."


Prophecy already announced that folks will become selective of those they listen to. Several believers only want preachers who speak sweet words and are quick to abandon those who preach "hard" biblical doctrine.

TOPIC: The Bible Is The Only Legitimate Authority For Establishing Doctrine

Scripture:
"Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness" (II Timothy 3:16)

*Message*

II Timothy 3:16 revealed to us that scripture is versatile, and that if proper doctrine is not set in place, the powerful scripture could get weak in carrying out its other spiritual responsibilities (namely, "for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness".

The Bible is the only legitimate authority for establishing doctrine. Any doctrine you are going to embrace as a Christian must have it basis in the Bible.

Even if a doctrine or spirtual practice is popular and its adherents seem to be profiting from it (seems they are having results), if it isn't powered by scriptures and isn't established as a truth in the Bible, it should be discarded.

One of the errors in our generation is trying to use the Prophetic (Prophetic experiences and revelations) to establish doctrine. But that verse established that it is scripture that must have the ultimate authority - not a vision or dream or an encounter with a supernatural being.

Many people have built different doctrines and practices around dreams and visions, and it is always dangerous to do so. No kind of prophetic revelation is for the purpose of establishing doctrine - we have scriptures for that.

In all, "it is written in the Bible" must be greater and given first place than "I heard a voice" "or I see a vision or an angel".

This is a season where the Word of God must be at the forefront.

TOPIC: Territorial Ambitions - Winning On The Wings Of Kingship and Priesthood

*Message*

As a believer who is not consistent with his/her priesthood destiny/ordination, It is still possible to get some aspects of your inheritances as a son in God's kingdom via engaging kingdom principles which can be utilized to express some dimensions of Kingship here on earth.

Also, it is possible to be solely focused on just priesthood (ministering unto God and engaging spiritual transactions in the heavens) at the expense of Kingship and dominion here on earth.

But God's expectation is that we be a Royal Priesthood (the right dose of Kingship and the right dose of Priesthood). That is, we make the necessary sacrifices to walk in the fullness of our ordination as priests unto YAHWEH, and then utilize the abundant spiritual resources we will acquire to imprint God and His ways upon our territories.

A believer walking in the fullness of Royal Priesthood is one who has passed through a personal transformation of desire, having migrated from self to the kingdom, where they don't merely ask God for personal needs, but for nations. While they won't forsake their priesthood role of being borderline creatures habiting the spiritual and physical realms, they are also available to disciple systems and structures in the ways of God.

Revelation 1:6 NKJV

[6] and has made us kings and priests to His God and Father, to Him be glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen.

*Message*

To have dominion over territories, we must live as God's spiritual priests. You must know that a priest is meant to operate on a different class entirely. Isaiah 24 vs. 2 should open your eyes:

"...as with the people, so with the priest;

as with the servant, so with his master;

as with the maid, so with her mistress;...."

The LORD was talking about different classes of people, distinguished by their expedient lifestyles. As the servant is not in the same class as the master, so is the priest not in the same class with the people. As the lifestyle of a maid is different from the lifestyle of a mistress, so the lifestyle of a priest should be different from the people.

Therefore, if there is no distinction in class and lifestyle between you as a believer today and other people in this world, then you don't know anything yet about the way of God like you are thinking you do. In fact, Jesus said that though we are in this world, we are not of the world. That is, though we are still living on earth, we as believers must not subscribe to the ungodly systems of the world in whatever form. Not only this, but we should go ahead and invade the world systems with the civilization of priesthood. 

You should understand some of the prominent reasons God didn't instantly take us from this earth immediately we surrendered our lives to Jesus. Some of them are:

1. It's God ultimate Will that mankind should inherit the earth

2. The earth is a platform for eternal rewards in eternity

3. He expects that we invade the earth with Him and His Glory. 

Hence, rather than compromise unsuspectingly to the standard of the world, we are destined to have territorial ambitions, revolving around imprinting the perfect Will of God on territories and structures here on earth. We are destined to ensure the spiritual atmosphere of our territories is conducive enough to host the personality of God.

"How you are fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! How you are cut down to the ground, you who weakened the nations! For you have said in your heart: 'I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God..." (Isaiah 14:12,13)

*Message*

The devil understands perfectly the way of deceit ("...the devil, and satan, who deceives the whole world..." Revelations 12:9). This is one fundamental tool he utilizes to weaken systems and structures and people to unknowingly rebel against God's perfect Will. In fact, it would have been very dangerous if Lucifer had not been chased out of heaven the time he was banished, because he would have won more angels to his side.

You may not understand the extent of mastery he has with deceit and craftiness. It works in such a way that a person (either angel or man) won't know he/she is being drawn away from God's perfect will until it becomes too late and obvious. 

This is why we are being admonished to live circumspectly (Ephesians 5:5) and with wisdom (Proverbs 4:6-7). We were being admonished to always take heed and check constantly if we have not been unknowingly swayed by the devil (2 Corinthians 13:5). The devil still goes about looking for unsuspecting folks to destroy (1 Peter 5:, but he will always disguise himself as light (2 Corinthians 11:14).

After all, the strength of a trap is in its disguise. So, pause a bit and reflect on some of the things you have learned from the ungodly world systems, which are not consistent with God's perfect Will. The slangs, the mode of dressing, the habits, and so on. If the Holy Spirit is convicting you, then you should repent.

If we will have dominion over territories, we must live as God's spiritual priests. Priesthood is a civilization in its own class

TOPIC: Territorial Ambitions

Scripture:

"How you are fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! How you are cut down to the ground, you who weakened the nations! For you have said in your heart: 'I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God..." (Isaiah 14:12,13)

*Message*

We must understand that the world system is majorly ruled and influenced by the devil. In 2 Corinthians 4:4, he was aptly described as "the god of this world/age".

But, how could this become a reality?

In Genesis chapter 1 vs 1, scripture made it known that "In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth". Then, verse two states: "The earth was without form, and void; and darkness was on the face of the deep..." And the best thing the Spirit of God could do to engage His own creation in this period was to simply hover over the face of the water.

Now, we should know that the duration between Genesis chapter 1 vs 1 and Genesis chapter 1 vs 2, is a very long time apart.

This is because we know that God is a good and perfect God. It is only normal that all He creates will be good and perfect. Hence, God can not originally create a dark and ugly world, as seen in Genesis chapter 1 vs 2. It means something must have tarnished the perfect world created by God between Genesis chapter 1 vs 1 and Genesis chapter 1 vs 2.

We don't have to be in the dark since scripture already gave us light. The explanation is right there in Isaiah 14 and Revelation 12:

"How you are fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! How you are cut down to the ground, you who weakened the nations! For you have said in your heart: 'I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God..." (Isaiah 14:12,13)

"And war broke out in heaven: Michael and his angels fought with the dragon; and the dragon and his angels fought, but they did not prevail, nor was a place found for them in heaven any longer. So the great dragon was cast out, that serpent of old, called the Devil and Satan, who deceives the whole world; he was cast to the earth and his angels were cast out with him" Revelation 12:7-9

So, when Lucifer started nurturing an evil ambition to rebel against the LORD, he became evil and dark and was banished from the heavens to the earth. 

Note, the very first thing Lucifer started doing upon finding his feet on earth after his demotion to this realm was to begin weakening the nations. That is, he started craftily attacking their original systems and structures that were consistent with God's perfect Will, until compromises and changes were slowly being permitted. The devil became an expert in this, that even in heaven, he was able to weaken the original resolve of many angels who originally used to be 100 percent loyal to YAHWEH, to join his rebellious party.

TOPIC: The Exploration Of The Shekinah (3)

Scripture:

"God, who in various times and in different ways spoke in time past to the fathers by the prophets, has in these last days spoken to us by His Son, whom He has appointed heir of all things, through whom also He made the worlds; who being the brightness of His Glory and the express image of His person, and upholding all things by the word of His power, when He had by Himself purged our sins, sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high, having become so much better than the angels, as He has by inheritance obtained a more excellent name that they" (Hebrews 1:1-4)

*Message*

In the Old Testament, the prominent representation of the Shekinah was a cloud. However, the Shekinah has moved from the cloud to a Person - Jesus Christ. The Shekinah we need now to dominate our world is the revelation of Jesus Christ. A man who carries the revelation of Jesus Christ is a candidate, a custodian, a bearer of the visible manifestation of the Glory of God.

The bottom line is that the glory of God has now translated into Jesus Christ, and Jesus Christ dwells in you upon your acceptance of Him as your LORD and Saviour.

"And that day you will know that I am in My Father, and you in Me, and I in you." John 14:20

"Jesus answered and said to him, 'if anyone loves Me, he will keep My word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our home with him" John 14:23

Hence, the Shekinah now dwells in you, but it's your duty to manifest Him. Anyone who can manifest the glory is a candidate of dominion.

In other words, today, if you want to expect the Shekinah, draw from your inside and give expression to the essence of Jesus Christ from within. The more you can express the life and power and essence of Christ, the more the glory of God you get to engage and operate in. Every time you find your life in struggle, it means you are not operating in glory.

There are diverse realities of Christ that we can dispense and give expression to - wisdom, excellence, power, favour, etc.

[6] And Solomon went up there to the bronze altar before the Lord, which was at the tabernacle of meeting, and offered a thousand burnt offerings on it. [7] On that night God appeared to Solomon, and said to him, “Ask! What shall I give you?”

*Message*

GOD lives in a realm of possibilities, where nothing is impossible. When He shows up tangibly, He comes with His realm. And when He is leaving, there are usually tokens of the realities of His realm, which we can maximize to get all we need for life and godliness, to get ahead in this plane of existence.

So, when Solomon, in 2 Chronicles chapter one, was able to capture the Shekinah after his sacrifices to GOD, he was able to maximize the encounter to ask the LORD for what made him one of the greatest kings ever.

When a minister is able to move the hands of God before ministering, or during their ministration, they will invite a realm of possibilities, where they can make supernatural demands which easily becomes a reality. Your ministry will always be a blessing to the people.

Even as a business or career person, you can always trap the tangible manifest presence of God from your secret place, over your business and career. You will always be exceptional in what you do.

These are some of the strategies available to the believer to experience true dominion in earth. Unfortunately, a lot are yet to be skilled in the art of stirring the manifest presence of God and enforcing the endless possibilities He brings.

God's manifest presence empowers you to bring creation under the influence and government of God. Ever since it was first introduced in this plane of existence, the manifestation of the Glory of God was growing in tangibility, until the time scripture revealed Jesus Christ to be the tangible manifestation of the Glory of God.

TOPIC: The Exploration Of The Shekinah

*Message*

Let's start a discourse on the exploration of the Shekinah (the tangible manifest presence/glory of God). It is wisdom to know how to always establish the manifest presence of God around your space and ride upon the Glory to enforce the supernatural in this natural world. The Shekinah can be utilized to swing the arms of the supernatural in your own favour.

God is Omnipresent - that is, He is everywhere at the same time. However, God is neither an idle noisemaker nor an attention seeker. Hence, He doesn't manifest everywhere. In Genesis chapter one verse two, it was recorded that "The Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters." He was simply silently being there because He is Omnipresent. It was not until the next verse that GOD decided to enforce His manifest presence by declaring, "Let there be light."

When God decided to show up tangibly, a transformation occurred ("and there was light". It shows that we can always expect supernatural transformation every time we are able to pull the Shekinah.

Scripture talked about Moses encountering God's Glory at Mount Sinai (Exodus 19). Note that GOD, being everywhere at the same time, has always occupied Mount Sinai many years before that time. But when GOD decided to introduce His tangible manifest presence, it became supernatural. After seeing and engaging the Glory of YAHWEH, when Moses came down, his face was glowing, and he became like a god amongst men (Exodus 34)

If you can always interact with the tangible manifest presence of God, you become like a god amongst men, and you won't have to struggle with things like influence and authority and acceptance.
