TOPIC: Where Are You?
‭‬‬
for you shall worship no other god, for the Lord, whose name is Jealous, is a jealous God. Exodus‬ ‭34:14‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

*Message*

A lot of things surrounding the creation and establishment of mankind reveal the immense love of God towards these unique creatures. Whilst He only spoke other stuff into existence, the divine Godhead had to come together to carefully make Man in His image and likeness. Unlike His dealings with the angelic beings, He displays deep affection towards the humans, in spite of their limitations.

I'm wondering what the Angels would be pondering the first time they see the LORD moving in the full regalia of His Glory toward Adam's corner on earth for fellowship. They are probably shocked that their Fearful King is showing this much affection to these humans.

Thus, you can imagine how heartbreaking it was when Man gave what belongs to God (his trust, affection, loyalty, obedience, etc) to the devil. Since God won't condescend to the devil's low level in fighting for Man's attention, He simply asked Adam "Where are you" (Genesis 3:19)

In other words, Man, "Where lies your trust and faith, I or someone else?" "Where do you stand, on my side or elsewhere "?

This is the same thing the Lord is asking us today. Where are you? What do you really trust and believe in? Some of us believe in our resources more than God. When some Christians feel sick, they first turn to their doctors! When some folks have issues, rather than first talking it out with the Lord, they first discuss it with other humans they believe can help them out. Stop making God jealous.

It's a good thing that God is jealously trying to prevent you from giving what belongs to Him to something else. This was something Lucifer never enjoyed, and he became eternally doomed. If God is punishing you in some way for idolatry (putting something or someone else above Him), then you are very fortunate. All you have to do is make amendments, and all will be well again.

Plead with the LORD to help reveal anything outside of Him that has become a god to you, and should cut off the same immediately.

TOPIC: Sure Way To Success

This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success. Joshua‬ ‭1:8‬ ‬

*Message*

Success is relative, but we have a measure of similarity as far as certain natural desired expectations are concerned, either individually or as a society. In other words, while the definition of success differs from person to person, and from society to society, we all aim towards certain specific results in life and destiny.

One thing we should always remember is that God, our Creator, is delightfully inclined toward helping us succeed in our endeavors. A good proof of this truth is that you find littered across the Scripture, light that guarantees success. One of them is Joshua‬ ‭1:8 -

"This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success."

You can also see Deuteronomy 28:13 where the LORD Himself promised to make His children the head and not the tail. It was established that for this to become a reality, you must "heed the commandments of the LORD your God which I command you today, and be careful to observe them"

Success is pleasing God by doing His Will for your life. What the enemy does is to try as much as possible to influence your flesh to go contrary to the Will of God, and make you comfortable with results obtained outside of God's Will for you. The enemy wants you to live a substandard lifestyle because he has been subjected to an inferior lifestyle many years ago, and that's what he can relate to.

If the devil fails in preventing you from going against God's Will, you are victorious indeed.

Ask the LORD for grace to only seek to thrive within the confines of His perfect Will for you.

TOPIC: Enjoy Loving God

"Jesus said to him, "You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind. This is the first and great commandment" Matthew 22: 37, 38

*Message*

While there are several things to give your full attention and affection to, you will do yourself a lot of good for all of eternity if you invest your attention and affection in growing in love for God. Your day is productive if you are sure you took intentional steps towards growing in love with HIM, and you actually got closer to your Loving Creator.

We can barely do something eternally significant without the help of the Holy Spirit, and this is no exception. A lot of folks are trying to love God via the zeal of the flesh, but they keep getting exhausted and worn out, for obvious reasons. This is why many from different pages of history invented religion, trying to make use of religion to exhibit love to God - but they keep getting Him irritated instead.

There is a Way God wants to be loved. The first thing is to embrace His own Love - Jesus Christ, and the divine blessing of the Holy Spirit guides you on God's pathway of Love.

Loving God and growing in love for Him is fulfilling. There is a very unique nourishment meant for the human soul that can only be obtained from sweet fellowship with the LORD in love. Before the end of today, be sure that you've grown some inches in your love walk with Jesus.

TOPIC: Fruits Ahead Of Gifts

"But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, long-suffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law." Galatians 5:22, 23
‭‬‬

*Message*

The Christian faith can be an unending cycle of bliss and adventure. This is easily made possible via the availability of divine tokens embedded in the Life we received upon surrendering to the Lordship of Jesus. So, we receive the Holy Spirit and can give manifestations to His supernatural gifts:

"for to one is given the word of wisdom through the Spirit, to another the word of knowledge through the same Spirit, [9] to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healings by the same Spirit, [10] to another the working of miracles, to another prophecy, to another discerning of spirits, to another different kinds of tongues, to another the interpretation of tongues. [11] But one and the same Spirit works all these things, distributing to each one individually as He wills." ‭‭I Corinthians‬ ‭12:8‭-‬11‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

However, as beautiful as these spectacular abilities and experiences are, just a few verses later, the Holy Spirit, through Apostle Paul, would take our attention towards the direction of "a more excellent way" (Vs 31) characterized by love and good characters.

The point is simple. Spiritual gifts are powerful, but the fruits of the Spirit should be given greater priority and importance, as they are more valuable than gifts.

As Christians, we are to be like Jesus Christ who excelled in character and love. One easy way to bring this into realization is by living a lifestyle that exhibits the fruits of the Spirit.

"But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, long-suffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law." Galatians 5:22, 23

This is one of the major trademarks of a genuine child of God. When the fruits keep finding expression in you, you please God the more and get closer to Him.

Prayers
Ask the LORD to help you give greater expression to the fruits of the Spirit in your daily interactions with society.

TOPIC: Wisdom To Choose The Right Companions

"They zealously court you, but for no good" Galatians 6:17

*Message*


It's a good thing to enjoy being loved, being showered with love, and admired by others. A healthy human is meant to associate with others and have companions of different classes that they can do life and destiny with. Even Jesus had His closest companions (Luke 6:12-16; Matthew 17:1) who loved Him vehemently and would eventually die for the sake of His vision.

However, if we should be realistic, then we will agree that not everyone coming around us actually has good intentions towards us. Out of every twelve, there is usually at least one Judas Iscariot who is hanging around you for mischievous and selfish reasons. At times, such persons could have evil aims and can cause serious damage if they have the chance.

Judas came from Judea, just like Jesus, and because of this, no one would have expected him to be the one to betray Him. But hey, that's humans for you. The human mind is very deep. The average human is a great actor who can conveniently pretend to be what they are not. Someone can hate you vehemently and for many years, keep acting like your best friend and successfully pretend to have your best interest at heart when they are only after your downfall.

Hence, you need God's help when it comes to choosing those you will allow into the circle of your closest companions. You need wisdom in identifying a person beyond what they portray themselves to be, so you won't be ignorantly dealing with an enemy posing as a friend - which is very dangerous.

Prayer

LORD, give me the wisdom I need to see people beyond what they portray themselves to be outwardly.

TOPIC: Don't Hoard The Blessings Of God

"Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age. Amen" Matthew 28:19,20

*Message*

As believers of Jesus Christ, we have received the greatest Gift ever: Eternal Life Through Faith In Christ Jesus, Empowered by the Holy Ghost. The Spirit of the God of the Universe abides in us, and we are the most blessed and most fortunate of all men. Glory to God!

Now, don't hoard the blessing you have received as a Christian, but be determined to share it with the world. Good news can't be contained, and we find great pleasure in talking about it. Christians have a divine responsibility of telling the world the Good News of God's Grace - how God Himself came to the world in the flesh to reconcile humanity back to Himself and save us from the terrible afflictions of sin, satan and hell.

The Good News is that through Jesus Christ, any human (irrespective of how dirty they have been living), can become a bonafide child of the Almighty God, and can maintain a pleasurable relationship with YAHWEH, which empowers them to have dominion over creation.


The last words of a person are usually very significant. And in the Bible, we saw the very last words of JESUS to His disciples before His departure:

"Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age. Amen" Matthew 28:19,20

It is then obvious that the most important thing to Jesus is getting people into His Kingdom, and this must be our own greatest priority too as His children.

TOPIC: Adding Flavour To A Bitter World

Matthew 5:13 NKJV‬‬
[13] “You are the salt of the earth; but if the salt loses its flavor, how shall it be seasoned? It is then good for nothing but to be thrown out and trampled underfoot by men.

*Message*

If you belong to a healthy Christian community, it is expected that you are encouraged to evangelize our Christ and bring the dark world into the Light of God. Several channels, ways, and methods are usually explored to make our evangelistic activities as effective and efficient as possible.

Now, it is also important that you give great priority to having a fine character in your society as a Christian interested in bringing others into the glorious light of the kingdom of God through faith in Christ Jesus.

You know, several other religions thrive on force and violence - but Jesus conquered the world with Love. He was greatly admired and known as a Man of perfect character. As believers, you can easily win and convince those around you (your neighbors, co-workers, co-students, etc) into the fold of Christ with your beautiful character.

Your lovely character can influence a hard and cold world to honor your invitation to Church, to listen to your message, etc.

An easy way to be a person of fine character is simply possessing and exhibiting the fruits of the Spirit, as highlighted in Galatians chapter 5 verses 22 and 23 - "love, joy, peace, long-suffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control"

The world is a bitter place already due to the activities of evil that crept into the earth courtesy of the fall of man in the Garden of Eden. As carriers of eternal life, we are the salt of the earth and must thus add divine flavor to our societies - this is how they can see that the Lord has not given up on sinful earth.

TOPIC: Dominion As Kings And Priests

Genesis 1:26 NKJV‬‬
Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.”

*Message*

Humans were created by the Creator to have dominion over creation, as a gesture of His endless and unmerited love and goodness. To make this a reality, He configured Man to sustain a posture - Priesthood and Kingship.

As long as Adam was faithful to Priesthood (standing before the glory of God and excavating essence from the realm of the Spirit), he will continue to flawlessly exercise rulership on earth with no issues whatsoever.

Unfortunately, we lost this when Adam and Eve sinned in the Garden of Eden. But Jesus Christ came to restore the Authority we lost (John 1:12).

One of the blessings of faith in Christ Jesus is how our eyes are opened to the divine protocols attached to owning dominion and exercising rulership on the earth realm. Hence, we know that it is an aberration to be a slave to sin, sickness, poverty, satan, hell, and other negative things.

It is necessary to always remember that the way to have true dominion is to ensure an intimate righteous relationship with God, which is what empowers us to rule as kings and priests.

"And (Jesus Christ) have made us kings and priests to our God; and we shall reign on the earth" Revelation 5:10.

Jesus makes us. If He doesn't make a person, such cannot amount to anything significant. As you join yourself continuously with Him in faithfulness to your priesthood responsibilities you will keep enjoying all it takes to live as a royalty on earth.

This is your destiny - but it can only be a reality in Christ Jesus.

TOPIC: Celebrating God's Word

Psalms 119:14 NKJV‬‬
I have rejoiced in the way of Your testimonies, As much as in all riches.

*Message*

It takes a revelation of the preciousness of the word of God to ensure we give it the right priority and therefore maximize its accompanying blessings. When you have a proper revelation of His Word, you will keep seeing that it is always pricelessly well above anything material.

Basically, the zeal accorded to God's Word reveals the extent to the revelation we have of its preciousness.

The TPT version of Psalms 119:14 states - "I find more joy in following what you tell me to do than in chasing after all the wealth of the world."

As a person explore God's Word, they can easily know that they are touching depths when they keep clashing with joy from what they behold.

The next verse goes thus:
"I will meditate on Your precepts, And contemplate Your ways." (Psalms 119:15).

It is a very healthy habit for a believer to meditate on God's word. While at it, you can see things the way God sees them, and you can configure an experience of walking in God's way and divine principles even in your divine meditations. This is the way of divinity.

Generally, if we can live our lives in complete obedience to what God is saying and has said in the scripture of truth, our individual lives and collective societies will experience true peace and prosperity.

TOPIC: The Sweet Things Of God's Blessings

Proverbs 10:22 ‬‬
The blessing of the Lord makes one rich, And He adds no sorrow with it.

*Message*

The blessings of God find expression in sweet ways upon a blessed person. As folks with a dominion mandate, we need resources to exercise true dominion on earth. It is God's Will that we prosper in all things and have abundance. This will empower us to bring about His Will in whatever capacity He has called us.

Prosperity is a tool that can be used to advance what is in the heart of God for you in the space He has ordained for you. Poverty and lack are ugly and are never God's Will for us. There are people with a message for their generation but die with it because they don't have the resources needed to birth their destiny.

As you embrace the blessings of God via engaging kingdom principles that bring God's blessings, one of the immediate results you will embrace is favor. Favour is an attractive supernatural garment that comes upon you, and makes people (both mortals and immortals) find pleasure in blessing you and ensuring your well-being and progress.

People will always be ready and eager to bless you and go out of their way to ensure your well-being and progress. Favor compels people to make you their preference. There's something wrong if you have to sweat to get all you have.

Even of Jesus it was said, "And Jesus increased in wisdom and stature, and in favor with GOD and men." Luke 2:52

Jesus would have been limited if He only increased in wisdom and stature. But note that He had favor "with GOD and men" and was aptly empowered to fulfill His ministry.

TOPIC: Let's Go Back To Bethel (2)

Scripture:

Genesis 28:19 NKJV
[19] And he called the name of that place Bethel; but the name of that city had been Luz previously.

*Message*

Yesterday, we saw how Jacob left home a godless man (one who doesn't know GOD), but at Bethel, he encountered GOD. And he got access to the light that brought about the revelations of GOD. Since then, Jacob became a godly man. Jacob left home a confused man without direction. But at Bethel, light came, and he knew what to do.

Now, you should also know that Bethel is a place transgenerational giants are raised. These are strong tools in God's hands utilized for transgenerational works.

Remember, Jacob left home as a nonetity (a nobody), but the encounter he had at Bethel transformed him into a giant. That timid Jacob became the father of the 12 tribes of Israel, a country that is still one of the greatest countries today

Basically, getting to Bethel brought out the giant in him. You see, the truth is that there is a giant in everyone - they only need the right environment to bring out the giant in them. Your own space today must take that posture where giants are raised. It doesn't matter how you currently see yourself, when you secure a fresh encounter with the LORD, it stirs the sleeping giant in you and set it ablaze on fire unto the LORD.

TOPIC: Let's Go Back To Bethel

Scripture:

Genesis 28:12 NKJV
[12] Then he dreamed, and behold, a ladder was set up on the earth, and its top reached to heaven; and there the angels of God were ascending and descending on it.

*Message*

Bethel, the place where Jacob had an encounter with GOD, was one of the places Abraham has laboured to erect an altar many years ago. Bethel is a place for visible and practical encounter with GOD. Bethel means the house of God.

In Genesis 28, for the very first time, Jacob saw God and had an encounter with Him when he got to Bethel..

Genesis 28:12-15 -

[12] Then he dreamed, and behold, a ladder was set up on the earth, and its top reached to heaven; and there the angels of God were ascending and descending on it. [13] And behold, the Lord stood above it and said: “I am the Lord God of Abraham your father and the God of Isaac; the land on which you lie I will give to you and your descendants. [14] Also your descendants shall be as the dust of the earth; you shall spread abroad to the west and the east, to the north and the south; and in you and in your seed all the families of the earth shall be blessed. [15] Behold, I am with you and will keep you wherever you go, and will bring you back to this land; for I will not leave you until I have done what I have spoken to you.”

From here, the encounter produced blessings - GOD blessed him and his life experienced a turnaround.

Bethel is a place to get access to light When you encounter GOD, you encounter His Glory. The Glory of GOD emits light. Light gives clarity. Light helps us know our current state, and what we are destined to be. Light helps us to know what next to do..

Jacob left home a godless man (one who doesn't know GOD). But at Bethel, he encountered GOD. And he got access to the light that brought about the revelations of GOD. Since then, Jacob became a godly man. Jacob left home a confused man without direction. But at Bethel, light came, and he knew what to do. There are lots of people, even in your vicinity still in darkness and without purpose - you must help them

God is ever faithful and true

The scripture of truth admonishes us to learn to number our days with the end goal of gaining a heart of wisdom (or starting living life on the frequency of divine wisdom). In other words, in our daily activities, we will always choose to remember that at the end of each day, we are getting closer to returning back to the space of eternity where God commissioned us from before we were born into this world.

Wisdom will then tutor and compel us to always make the right choices each day to enable us to fulfill God's purpose for us on earth, while at the same time investing heavily in our eternity (the quality of your existence in eternity will be heavily dependent on your choices on earth). Wisdom will tutor us to live each day, pleasing God through faith in Christ Jesus and maintaining a solid intimate relationship with Him.

TOPIC: Teach Us To Number Our Days

Psalms 90:12 ‬
So teach us to number our days, That we may gain a heart of wisdom.

*Message*

On this joyous day, which happens to be my birthday, I decided to encourage you, my dear readers, to give greater priority to wisdom and spend the rest of your life with a very strong consciousness of eternity.

This known earth is not your permanent residence, and after a definite number of days have been completed (which only God knows), either by death or the rapture, you will be transported away from this known world, and return to a palpable space of eternity. One will either spend their eternity in heaven, which is characterized by God's intimate Presence, or the lake of fire, which is a system of punishment for those who rebelled against God.

TOPIC: Fighting The Good Fight Of Faith (4)

Scripture:

"Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, to which you were also called and have confessed the good confession in the presence of many witnesses" 1 Timothy 6:12

*Message*

In Genesis 3, GOD declared that the Seed of the woman will bruise the head of the devil, while the devil will bruise his heels. The Seed is Jesus Christ, and eventually His own seeds - which are sons and daughters of God.

Of Jesus, the Bible says, "for this purpose the Son of Man was made manifest, to destroy the works of the devil" (1 John 3: 8 ). We too became sons of God by faith in Christ. He said, as many as believed in Him, He gave power and authority to become sons of God(John 1:12). Don't forget that Jesus already told us that the works He did on earth, we shall do, and even greater works than He did.

Hence, the good fight of faith is not a carnal physical fight - it's a fight where you must ensure the devil and his cohorts won't lure you out of the path of the LORD. It's a fight where you must rise as a strong man or woman, and be used by God to destroy the works of the enemies still on the earth realm.

It is a fight of bringing men to the LORD, ensuring the purposes of God flourish per time. You have to keep partnering with the Holy Spirit to expand His kingdom, invading systems of this world with the principles and wisdom of God, and destroying those things the devil has planted that are keeping men from serving God in spirit and in truth.

Many of Jesus's immediate disciples were low-lifers who were not enviable as far as the most noble scheme of things in their society was concerned. However, after accepting Jesus's invitation of love, their intimate interactions with the love of Christ brought about eternity-relevant transformations, and they considered themselves grave ingrates should they hold back from witnessing Him.

*Even after the resurrection of the Lord Jesus when they saw Him at Galilee, the atmosphere of commissioning, the Lord asked them to: "Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit," (Matthew 28:19).*

After Easter, despite how they were vehemently persecuted for their faith, even in the face of death, the voice of the LORD kept in their hearts was still burning within them, and they won't hold back their testimonies from a world that is destined to interact with the goodness of the LORD.

If you are truly grateful to the Lord for His sacrificial love, then, after Easter, you should reciprocate by testifying His goodness to everyone. This is a potent manner to witness Christ. The purpose of your testimony of the Lord's goodness is to woo the world to taste of the Lord too and see that He is good.

The world out there needs something genuine and real and true. This should make the job of witnessing Christ much easier for us, as you can achieve a lot by sweetly speaking of the goodness of the LORD to you via the economy of His endless love, emphasizing the fact that He is also ready to shower His goodness on anyone who will embrace His offer in Christ Jesus.

*After Easter, you shouldn't hide the blessings God has bestowed on you through His love. Tell it to the world and implore everyone to come taste of His goodness too. Open your mouth and begin to testify.*

TOPIC: Defeating Death Like A Boss

Scripture:

Matthew 28:6 NKJV
He is not here; for He is risen, as He said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay.

*Message*

After Jesus was killed and placed in the tomb, there was great silence everywhere. When it seems hope is lost, joy was silently brewing, gently approaching, reaching its climax when the KING of Glory resurrected gloriously from the grave - nothing could hold Him bound in darkness!

Hallelujah! Jesus is risen! Hallelujah! Glory to God!

The strength of His resurrection is a display of the truth of His words, that in Him is Life. We can believe for sure that He is KING over all, including death. Death has been successfully tormenting and traumatising mankind for many years. But the strength of Jesus's resurrection humiliated death, stripped it of his powers, and rendered it disgraced.

In the strength of His resurrection, you, too, can humiliate death like a boss. You can forever enjoy eternal life that proceeds from God as you stay connected to Him in spirit and in truth, through faith in Jesus Christ. God is only interested in a relationship with mankind, possible through Jesus Christ. This is when life, the life God dispenses into your spirit, will keep empowering you to live the quality life He has ordained for you - a life that can't be hindered by sin, satan, death, sickness, poverty, etc.

As you are connected to Him, you become a dispenser of life, chasing death (both spiritual death and its other expressions) away from your space. In the strength of His resurrection, go and make Jesus proud!

TOPIC: Fighting The Good Fight Of Faith (3)

Scripture:

"Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, to which you were also called and have confessed the good confession in the presence of many witnesses" 1 Timothy 6:12

*Message*

The essence of the faith is to ensure man can become what we are meant to be if the fall had not taken place. It is to ensure we reclaim what was lost in the garden of Eden, as well as the authority needed to have and exercise dominion over creation. The destiny of Man is to have an intimate righteous relationship with God that must be eternal in nature, which can only be possible through faith in Christ Jesus.

But the devil and his cohorts are trying all that could be done to ensure this won't be a reality. Hence, he keeps waging war to prevent people from aligning fully with God in Christ. He keeps trying to keep billions of people from coming to Christ. He keeps trying to lure many Christians back to the world or to make them ordinary baby Christians who won't make themselves available to be used by God to fight the camp of the enemy.


It's a fight for the souls of men. It's a fight for the allegiance of men. It's a fight for the time of men. It's a fight for the resources of men.

"Fight the good fight of faith..."

The good fight of faith is a fight for destiny. The destiny of man is to be a priest unto God, whose own self is a mobile altar that offers pleasant sacrifices to God everyday - this is what empowers man to exercise dominion and kingship on the earth realm.


So, for you who had embraced Jesus as LORD and Saviour, the devil and his demonic armies will try discouraging you from walking the narrow path of faith. It's a fight - they will attack with immorality, all manner of temptations, etc.

The enemy will try making you comfortable with being a baby nominal Christian - one who is comfortable with just being a church goer. One who is simply interested in receiving material things from GOD. One not ready to let go of everything for Christ. It's a fight. An attack. We are meant to be soldiers. To fight the good fight of faith.

Jesus answered and said to them, “Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up.”

*Message*

Death is known to be gruesome, ugly, and dark. However, in God's intelligence, He can always outsmart the craft of death to produce abundant positivity:
‭‭‬
"Most assuredly, I say to you, unless a grain of wheat falls into the ground and dies, it remains alone; but if it dies, it produces much grain." (John 12:24).‬

All through the scripture, God kept displaying His visionary qualities in no small measure, preparing well ahead of time so nothing catches Him unaware or unprepared. For instance, even before establishing the current heavens and earth, the Lamb of God had been slain from the foundation of the world (Revelation 13). This has ensured a divine sacrificial protocol that birthed a framework that will guard His creatures (whenever He will create them) from eternal damnation if they erred (and as if He knew, they eventually erred in the beautiful garden He placed them).

Jesus perfectly mirrored the necessity of sacrificial death (and the need to ignore immediate gratification) just to birth something more glorious in the future with eternal significance. The way of death is painful quite all right, and even Jesus, the Son of God, embraced the pain of having to destroy the status quo, just to birth a new dispensation that will reunite mankind back to God.

On this glorious Good Friday, you must be willing, like Jesus, to let go of whatever it is that is hindering God from birthing something eternally glorious through your life. It might be a relationship, a lucrative opportunity, a habit and lifestyle you find so cozy, etc. Embrace the pain of death, and you will be joyous to see the fruits in the coming day.

TOPIC: Fighting The Good Fight Of Faith (2)

Scripture:

"Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, to which you were also called and have confessed the good confession in the presence of many witnesses" 1 Timothy 6:12

*Message*

Paul utilized the adjective "good" to clarify the type of fight he was talking about. This is important because today, we see people from different religions claiming to be fighting for God and their own faith, destroying things, and killing people, which is contrary to the will of God.

You even see some ignorant Christians, who, in their zealousness, intend fighting for God and the faith, and they are at loggerhead with unbelievers and non Christians. But as you would see, the fight is beyond a physical fight. In fact, the Apostle Paul would say that the weapons of our warfare are not carnal (2 Corinthians 10:4).

To know what it means to fight the good fight of faith, we must know the essence of the faith as well as what really caused the battle. Well, the summary is that Lucifer-turned-satan decided to frustrate God's plans and works. After luring one-third of the angels (turned demons) to his side, he replicated the same feat with Man.

God made a proclamation in Genesis 3. He told the devil that the Seed of the woman would bruise his head while he bruised his heels. The battle line was drawn between light and darkness. GOD decided to confuse the devil by coming down in flesh to die and offer His own self for the sins of man. In His infinite wisdom, the system God established was that anyone who had faith in His works of redemption finalized on calvary will become right again with God.

The essence of the faith is to ensure man can become what we are meant to be if the fall had not taken place. TOPIC: Fighting The Good Fight Of Faith (1)

Scripture:

"Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, to which you were also called and have confessed the good confession in the presence of many witnesses" 1 Timothy 6:12

*Message*

Let's start by saying that the epistles of Paul to Timothy should be books every serious young believer should give very great priority to. This is because, Timothy, as at when this letter was being written to him, was a young believer too. When Paul was writing and composing this letter, at the back of his mind was a young believer who needed wisdom to grow in the things of God and to last long on the journey of the faith

Now, Timothy was a wise young man worthy of emulation. The reason is that he became a bishop, overseeing the church in Ephesus at a very young age. As a bishop, he was the spiritual head and leader of the people, including those older than him. Every Christian in the city was meant to be under him and regards him as a mentor. Indeed, the wisdom embedded in Paul's letters was of great help to fulfil his ministry (since Paul, his spiritual father, was always on the move).

So, he was told:

"Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, to which you were also called and have confessed the good confession in the presence of many witnesses" 1 Timothy 6:12

Paul was saying fighting the good fight of faith is a calling for everyone, once they accepted Jesus Christ as LORD and Saviour. The point where a person is making the good confession (confessing Jesus as LORD and Saviour) is actually a very powerful moment. It might seem simple in the physical, but in the realm of the spirit, it is a very powerful and significant moment. Apart from the fact that the person is translated immediately from darkness into light, the person is also immediately given power and authority and enrolled into God's army meant to fight the good fight of faith.

This is a very serious affair because we made this good confession in the presence of many witnesses. Now, this is not just about a human congregation, because there are born-again Christians who made the confession in a private place. The many witnesses are also the heavenly cloud of witnesses. When you confess Jesus as LORD and Saviour, it causes a stir and noises in heaven because the Angels are rejoicing, and it gets the attention of the cloud of witnesses. So, it's a very serious affair.
