seunfly: If I tell you things hehhhe!!!!! When I met my wife I noticed she was not too open and happy to be with her mom, I only get to understand after I married her and I thank God she is not like her mother.
Her mother is a typical troublesome woman who sees men as thrash and not to be respected and she typical materialistic woman. Her own children calls her slay mama. Hmmm...thanks for having the maturity to share. It surprises me though to hear that the children are different from their mum, it is always a rare case cos fruit hardly falls far from the tree. I pray not to have such mother in-law. But do you know that they are not wrong in all cases, they've seen the bad side of the so called 'poor man'. Some poor or average men become something else when their condition change, so why suffer with such men. The truth is, do you know that this regina's mother has done nothing wrong in giving her daughter to a married man, the question is, would he hold to his side of the bargain, by taking care of the daughter? Is the young girl aware of the risks involved in marrying in to a polygamous family? These questions and many more are what matters, the talk about the age difference is pure fallacy and totally borne of hypocrisy, hate and jealousy. |

As much as I agree that there are lessons for Southern political heads in this article, it is evident that this article was paid for and aimed at insulting Tinubu.
The writer did a good job tho...but I think the editor of this paper should know his people's plight in the politics of Nigeria require more urgent attention than the person and people he decided to advise here.
BTW: why are people expecting Tinubu to reply El- Rufai? It has never been his ways replying political insults even from his opposers within the Lagos domain. |

some people are just funny in their way of reasoning. A player who won more trophies and scored more goals than any player in the club history isn't a legend. Even Madrid President wouldn't say that poo in private. But hatred has taken over some people's brain.

DanXplore: In accounting, receivables are not often said to be 'intangible' but often referred to as assets that are owed to the business. Proceeds from credit sales, accrued interest (to the company), unsupplied stock (to the company) etc are all receivables. If the owner(s) of the business perceives a possibility of unlikelihood to recover portions of any receivable, a provision for doubtful debt is made for it and even expensed as bad debt in extreme unlikelihood of recovery. Receivables are often current in nature for small to medium scale businesses even though long term (e.g interest receivable) exists. Receivables result from a third party not fulfilling its obligation to the business as at the time of report. Intangible assets on the other hand are assets that have no real physical value. Their values are often subjective. Examples includes patents, copyrights, franchise and even goodwill. I have not seen an intangible asset written off as bad debt because its value is already being enjoyed by the business unlike receivables. Hmmm, wonderful thought process and valid standpoint. So I ask you again, does an example of an "intangible current asset" come to mind? |
Career › Re: ICAN November 2023 Diet Exam - Let's Meet Here by Intrepid01(m): 4:36pm On May 16, 2019 |
mcpat: I answered your question stating that intangibles are not current assets.
Assets such as bank deposits, accounts receivable, and long-term investments in bonds and stocks lack physical substance, but are not classified as intangible assets. These assets are financial instruments and derive their value from the right or claim to receive cash or cash equivalents in the future. Hmmm...now this is great and for me thinking ...it's true Receivables and the likes, as you've stated are not classified as intangible assets...my question now is WHY? are they not qualified? ....is it because they are cash equivalents?.... @Clifford007, I think your suggestion has been challenged...what do you say? |

Clifford007: I think "receivables" are intangible current assets Hmmm I like that thinking.... Receivables can be classified as intangible and current asset. anybody with a different opinion? |
Career › Re: ICAN November 2023 Diet Exam - Let's Meet Here by Intrepid01(m): 3:43pm On May 16, 2019 |
mcpat: Intangible items are long term in nature, one of it's key attribute is how difficult it is to value it since you can't determine its future economic benefit. Thus, making it to fall under the current assets (ready to be sold, ability to be used within a 12 months period) category.
Happy to discuss a different opinion tho Thank you for your contribution but pls always focus on the question. I asked for an EXAMPLE of "an intangible current asset".... I would appreciate you give an example |

@Smoke2015; Oga smoke, you'll first of all share your years of painful experience with people like me first before you start advising us on how to endure it.
Pain, I mean life pain can't be imagined or rationalised. The experience is not even transferable, it's either you have it , you're having it or you don't. And you know what, words of encouragement are so easy to put up.
that phrase of NO PAIN NO GAIN is one of the most deceitful quotes in the world.. .it could send one to an end of limitless pain. |
