Democracy in West Africa and Sahel region is the worst form of government. If what is being practiced in Nigeria is "democracy", then that word should be erased from the dictionary. Once you educate a Nigerian, s/he starts using words s/he doesn't understand. That's how I view "democracy" in Nigeria.

Apparently the only patriotic Nigerians are the ones who cannot afford to japa. It is a desperate patriotism without other options. Nobody plans to fix Nigeria. Everyone's plan is to run away. In Igbo land, there is what is known as "njakiri". You may talk to an Igbo person in a certain way and it will be laughed off. But try that with other people, you get punched, stabbed or the least, thrown in jail.

In dealing with people from different cultures, many fail to realize that there is a thin line between njakiri statements and legal troubles. BLord is just one of many that fell into that trap. Oh well.... everything is not a joke.
