Grit2943: Good afternoon everyone Happy weekend
Please I need insight from people on the recommended fee I can pay someone to drive my car from Abuja to Ibadan. My car is a 2011 Camry with a four cylinder engine.
My current plan is 100k for fuelling and 100k for his services.
Thank you very much / N100k for service is ok. Abuja-PH is farther and it was N80k (service fee) in October last year. Talk to commercial drivers. He can drive it on his off day. It is a better option than those kamikaze car delivery drivers. / |

notoracism: Marriage is a joke. I have stayed in 16 years of hell, trouble, fight, arguement.
My kids are unhappy.
I have never stayed in my marriage happily for 3 days since almost 16 years.
I wish I could end this mess, and no family member would know.
Not for me anymore.
I dont know how to stay calm. My husband never smiles, he is a sadist. I do nothing right, always compalins, haaaaa. We split bills but still compalins, what else do I do? He keeps saying abroad marriages crashes, I am doing my best, I am trying, this man is so emotionally unstable. I am dying slowly, I dont have peace of mind.
If I leave, they would say abroad destroyed our marriage, but it is not true, we've been through alot, the trouble has always been there, we came here with bad baggages. My sister has had an experience with him before and she asked me how I cope.
He got a very good job, and lost it due to his negligence, he would stay and call all night without sleeping. Call all his friends, tell them about his job, send them link to the company website, despite all my warnings to remain humble.
He started struggling and lost the job. He is doing menial job now and started calling me names. The job issue is not why he is calling me names, he has always been an abusive individual, proud and impatient.
He is threatening to leave us, I dont care anymore, I would adjust and move on. Since I have not had the courage to leave if he leaves, I don't think I will ever allow him a space in my life. Neverrrr. / Long epistle not necessary. Just move in with the man you have been sneaking around with. No need to justify your actions to strangers. / |

Health › Re: One Reason Why Canadians Live Longer Than Nigerians by InvertedHammer: 3:31pm On Feb 09 |
MockingBird: I'm a Nigerian and I currently live in one of the coldest provinces in Canada with no plans to return back to Nigeria any time soon as it is clear that Nigeria has become over 10 times worse since I left Nigeria about 4 years ago.
The current average life expectancy of Canadians is 83 years versus 55 years for Nigerians. The question that begs for answer therefore is that what are the factors that are responsible for this great difference in average life expectancy.
I may not be able to point to all, but from my close observation having lived in both countries, I have noticed that one major reason for this is DIET.
First thing I noticed is that Canadians have access to lots of fruits and vegetables and these are not just for a select few but they are available and affordable to everybody in the society. It might shock us as Nigerians to know that even though banana doesn't grow in Canada, Canadians eat way more Banana that Nigerians do. Banana (whether organic or GMO) is available to Canadians every single day of the year. Same with Plantains.
As a matter of fact, I learnt how to bake Banana bread because often times, you may have over ripe bananas at home which may not be edible but could be only be used for one thing - Banana bread. So without learning how to bake banana bread, you will have lots of banana getting rotten and thrown away at home.
On the flip side, as one who stayed in Abuja, Nigeria and driving through Berger I remember buying Banana from women and girls hulking banana around the Utako market. Back then it was usually for around N1,000 to N1,500 for a decent bunch. I don't know how much they may be now with the worsened state of the economy. In Canada, you can buy one or two fingers of banana if that is your wish. In Nigeria, you dare not as you will immediately be cursed by the sellers. There are far far more fruits and vegetables that Canadians eat that Nigerians would have no access to.
The second reason I think Canadians have better health compared to Nigerians is because of their access to proteins compared to Nigerians. By proteins, I mean eggs, milks, chicken, meat and fish. Their milk here is majorly a sugarless liquid in 1 to 4 liters compared to the sweetened powdered and tin milk we have in Nigeria. The average Canadian drinks milk like water compared to a Nigerian and you can be sure of the nutrients in the milk as their dairy industry is heavily protected and regulated with price ceilings specified by the government.
My summary therefore is that nutritious food availability is one of the major reasons why a resident of one country may live longer compared to a resident of another country. What do you think. Let me hear your thoughts. / Nigerians have more access to fruits and vegetables but they run after carcinogenic prepackaged foods to appear posh. Who knew that poor people food like pizza, lab-grown chicken and chinese food are delicacies in Nigeria. Go figure! / |

/ Why the brouhaha about Obi Cubana and Pascal joining the City Boy Movement? Why can’t Igbo people looking inwards and ask themselves why anyone with money is automatically elevated to their leaders? Last time I checked, nobody voted Obi nor Pascal into Igbo leadership positions to speak for Igbo people. Perhaps if the people stop worshiping money, issues like this won’t arise.
There is still freedom of association. If you detest them, don’t show up at their rallies. Guess what? The critics will be the first to line up to get freebies. As Nigeria stands today, it is safer to align with oppressors because the oppressed themselves are only whiny because they are not invited to the dinner table.
