My point is, I have always loved going to Nigerian stadiums to watch soccer since I was small. What I see today in our local league makes me want to cry, and when something makes me sad the best thing I do is to turn my face away in disgust. The way we run our soccer her is repulsive to say the least.

What I was trying to say about Enyimba does not concern Enyimba alone, it concerns all our local teams. Yes, the players are very poorly paid and the payments are very irregular, the state govts sometimes claim its budget delays or the absence of a signatory that makes them misbehave. All these impart on the players who play poorly (compared to their foreign counterparts).

Have you not witnessed a fight in the Nigerian stadiums, free for all! No police to protect you. The ref will blow for an infringement and home players will refuse, they will swamp the ref and delay the match till night just to avoid defeat. We are making a caricature of ourself daily. I say, switch off the local league till it is organized, till funds will flow in, till the refs get more trained/protected, till the stadium is filling up with thousands of screaming/singing fans, till we can use the abundant talent that is in naija, till that day, let's watch EPL, La liga, etc. That's my own position.

We all need forgiveness for all have sinned, but the biggest sin of all is the sin of deceit, as the Rev.Fr is getting more popular with his firebrand preaching, rebuking everyone and anyone who has any position anywhere, he is selling his products. Other men of God cannot outsell him now cause he is always hugging the headlines and emotionally manipulating the children of God whom he is supposed to liberate from their various conditions.

Those masses didn't know that Union bank is not an Enugu thing but national. They also didn't seem to understand the type of strenghtening going on in our Nigerian banks of today. I fear for our people and their "follow follow" mentality. Any man they say is a man of God, people just abandon the Lord and will be chasing after the men like flies. Most cannot pray to God, they just go to adoration service and sleep over weekly and come back worse than they were.

The man of God has been shouting it to his half literate congregation that Union bank will fold up and they should hurry up and take out their cash before they lose it. But it was only after he had gotten into problem with them for non settlement of a loan that he now knows the bank is bad. I think his prophesy of doom is based more on his wishes because of his case with them. Now the problem is that the people believed him and are pulling all their funds out of the bank. The mans business interest is balooning up while his worshippers are getting poorer. His hate filled sermon is sold as well as his songs, water products and soft drinks.
