I don't doubt that Imo can have the highest number of professors, however I haven't seen data to support it, and in cany case, Imo is a state, not a region. We are talking about regions here. Please share the data though!

I smoke regular bush herbs, the Canada stuff and regular cigs. And Ghana herbs too, thanks for asking.

Anambra follows it too

Haven't you guys been screaming Ekiti all these years and why are you worked up?

There is nowhere in any of my posts where I said a PhD is a measure of literacy. My point has always been that literacy itself is one way to measure how educated a group of people are and another way to measure is to check how deep they tend to go with their education.

It's a question of width versus depth and I'm not saying either one is necessarily better either. Rather, I'm saying that education is a big picture and one piece of the puzzle, such as literacy alone, may not tell the whole story.

Igbos can be more literate because they go to primary and secondary school at a high rate, which I personally observed from my time in the east, but that alone is not enough to say Igbos are the most educated because education has several dimensions.

Bring admission stats.
Bring professorship and PhD stats

Literacy stats have nothing to do with higher education. A high rate of literacy means people are going to primary school and secondary school. How does that have any bearing on higher education, particularly up to the PhD level??

There are different ways to measure education. Most literate is one metric, and it measures the spread of basic education. The proportion of individuals with higher education is another way to measure it.

Now we may not have the stats but from observation, it seems reasonable to suggest that the Yorubas, and to some extent, the South Southerners, particularly of Edo and Delta, may be the leaders when it comes to higher education.

Oga, imo has it all , from basic education to professorship .
I have always known that IMO has the highest number of professors in Nigeria , nuc stated that.

Name some of the British meaningful projects in Nigeria.

There was a time we were even begging them for just one university in Nigeria before UI was established.

Do you know how many universities we have in Nigeria today?

Same Nigerians bank managers are resigning to become care and factory workers in the UK - all minimum wage jobs.
Did it happen during colonialism?
The latter had professionals leaving the West to come back to Nigeria and settle.

1.The British gave us railways, true, but the railways were narrow gague...which meant a trip between Lagos and Kano would take two days. MEANWHILE...by 1970's the same trip via road would take a whole day. That does wonders for passengers.

2.The railways the british gave us were for transporting goods and servicies. That's why they were darn slow. They were for transporting crops, metals, etc...people was an afterthought.

3.Railways failed in my opinion because they were heavily subsidised, and they lost money...plus road travel was quite simply a bit faster.

It's only now we are getting standard gague railway lines.

By the way, the extension of the railways to Maiduguri was completed after independence. A major project. Railways worked at least till 1990...when they collapsed.

Are those pics up there standard guage to you ?
So, the British did what Nigerian government are doing

It shows there is a region that is not livable to its people, they have to run helter shelter across other regions to make money. During the Christmas, they go back home to brag to those who never had the got to travel. Many of them will borrow cars to show off, spent money like they have really made it. In the end, they will return back to their businesses where goods and drugs they buy are located.

Next December period, they simply repeat...

The most densely populated region in Nigeria isn't viable?
Region with the highest indigenous industries.
Largest markets in West Africa.
Most resilient city , Enugu is in the East.
Two of its states are among the 6 Nigerian states with the highest volume of cash volumes in the country.

How educated are you?

I don't care how many are in the East.
...and I know the number of Yorubas in the East compared the Igbos in the West is incomparable.

Besides people will move around.

But the way the Igbos flee and resettle shows something isn't right-- sugarcoat it all you want.

Stop inserting Lagos as same as SW.
Lagos may be in SW but Igbos and other tribes are not in Lagos cos of Yoruba anything but as a former British colony and FG capital.
Same as why the same Yorubas and other tribes are in Abuja . Don't be si.lly
There are much more Yorubas in Igboland than there are Igbos in oyo, Ekiti, etc, aside Lagos.
Igboland is the most densely populated in the country, so save your rubbish talk.
Go and concern yourselves with hausas in your region .

None of your cities comes close to Ibadan when it comes to infrastructural buildings(no city is develop in Nigeria but none of yours come close to Ibadan).
y’all keep deceiving yourself with pictures of ancient buildings located in BEREE area lol.
You think posting pictures of a single mansion surrounded by bushes in your village is what they called development?
Leave your backward primitive village and explore SW cites to see wonders.

cool

This transport companies are very unprofessional and don't know how Government contracts works

They don't pay you upfront

The concept is simple

Transport fare goes higher during yuletide because Passengers Traffic is one way, they travel to Villages and nobody returns to city till January

This makes Transport companies loose on return trips with empty busses

Now Tinubu is giving them 50% to cover loss on return trips, for passengers to also get 50% discount

.

Na who trust the FG dey take that kyn risk.
After doing it and the FG doesn't reimburse, what should they do ?
