hrhjnr: Lol and if i don't you'll burn nairaland down. Please don't be childish. This feels like secondary school to you where you can try and bully or intimidate anyone. I don't know how old you are but some things should be beneath you.
If you really want to "help" people, create a thread and educate them on what to look for or how to buy a car or how not to get scammed and also if their budget fits an accidented car, what they should look out for and not posting every dealers thread. https://www.nairaland.com/4378034/shocking-transformation-some-crashed-cars/2#65530788Already did that. But the crusade will continue. I'm not the one you'll be dealing with. When whoever was mentioned arrives that's between you and him. Your attitude is noted though. Good Luck with your sales. |

In addition, I just noticed, in one of your adverts a few moments ago, that the pre-purchase photos you made available were merely thumbnails, not visible for comparison to the current photos of the vehicle you posted.
Please post actual photos of the pre-purchase condition like you do for most of your vehicles, and not thumbnails. I'm sure you understand the reasons for that.
Lots of Vehicles look similar when they are presented as image thumbnails.

Ipfreely: I understand your position, but it seems to me that this happened because he got the original custom papers from you and then made copies.
With Just the VIN, he wouldn't have been able to do what he did.
I don't quite see the connection between not posting the VIN for your vehicles on this forum and your experience.
A lot of Vehicles here have their VINs available, and I don't see what harm could come of having just the VIN, without the necessary documentation.
If that were a problem then it would be just as easy to get similar VINs off the internet for whatever unlikely nefarious purpose.
Inasmuch as you don't seem the sort to import a flooded vehicle, I'm sure you can see that just posting photos of its state at time of auction would not reveal the flooded history.
The same would apply to vehicles salvaged for Mechanical or undercarriage faults. These wouldn't be evident from the photos.
Perhaps you could explain further? Please respond to the highlighted. |

calculusx: • I can register any Car with just the Chasis no and many people can do the same too. Some liscencing office have no interest in your Custom Papers. If they do, how did Vehicles without Custom Papers get registered?
My modus operandi is to display Pre-purchase pictures which is full disclosure of what I know and see at time of Purchase and that will not change anytime soon. Noted. So all one needs to register a vehicle validly is the Chassis number? No sort of document? Receipt of purchase? Nothing else? That's a really sorry state of affairs, if that's the case. Would explain the state of this section. It's merely a microcosm of the Nigerian state. |

calculusx: * I saw your Post and I didn't ignore. I have been reading about so many other adverts linked to this thread for the past 2 hours I have not even been able to upload any advert today . Interesting and funny comments from NLers. I have missed soo much on here because I just upload adverts and move on without going through what has been happening on Auto Section.
It takes just man to change the world. In as much as you are doing a great Job which you have actually succeeded in doing because I can now see many dealers uploading Pre-purchase pictures which is good for the business, I must reiterate that even I, as an importer, I can't remember the last time I checked Vehicle History. I buy nothing less than 15 Cars on Auctions weekly, how many reports will I check when it's not even sure I will end up winning the bid. So, I only rely on the present state of the Car, I can later check Report after winning the bid if need be which at most times are been exaggerated. Like someone rightly said on another thread, a Car can be term Salvage just because of bumper damage, it all depends on the owner's insurance policy. I'm still surprised how you got Vin no for my 2011 RX 350 except if you got it after I posted the Pre-purchase Pictures.
I had a bitter experience displaying Vin no online here which made me stopped, even if a Client private chat me asking for Vin no, i always feel reluctant releasing it but always release pre-purchase pictures. Not because I had idea what the Report was or was hiding anything, I rather send the US Pics to make their decision. Someone saw my advert, requested for the Vin to to be displayed which I did, this person came to my office with his boss to inspect the Vehicle, made copies of Custom Paper claiming to want to verify if duty was paid and that was all I heard from them.
Few Months after someone else bought the Vehicle and was unable to register it. The Customer could have come here and called me names for selling a Registered Vehicle as Toks. He had a listening ear and we both investigated the Case. It turned out that the guy that inspected the Vehicle with his boss actually took a loan from his office to procure the Car and Registered it without my consent. Luckily, he did the Registration with his Phone number and that was how we were able to track him down. Ever since then, I stopped displaying Vin nos on majority of my adverts
Kudos to you for this Change you brought to Auto Section. You deserve a recommendation I understand your position, but it seems to me that this happened because he got the original custom papers from you and then made copies. Also check this link to see another person who he fears and never has courage to ask for vin or "full disclosure".
What stinks about his so called campaign is his hypocrisy and selective victimisation, he just targets the sellers he believes are middlemen and hence not capable of harming him in anyway.
Some other dealers are untouchable and neat, only a matter of time before many others see through this his charade As far as I'm concerned the only person here with a personal vendetta is you, Mister. You make it evident with every post you make. Did you read the post where Tadeus was exposed? Would you consider Tadeus a major dealer or a 'middleman? Enough of your whining please. You're not the only one that has been exposed in the past. Some had even worse cases than you and they've learned their lessons and moved on. Frankly it's his fault for responding to your silliness. The best response to you would be to ignore your constant crying and whining. |

chccho: Pls what is the wrong move i have made or the rule i have broken and where is it stated on this forum?
For all of u giving yoursleves headache, this benz was sold late last year with all documents intact and the buyer has not complained once of SARs harassment. These comments reveal that you've totally missed the point here. That the vehicle has been sold in no way diminishes the gravity of the rather shady practice of withholding relevant facts about your vehicles from buyers, especially in this section. There was no post about a buyer complaining of SARS harassment. That has no connection whatsoever to these issues. The SARS post by Erico2k2 made reference to a dealer being arrested by SARS because he withheld relevant information about a vehicle history from the buyer and the vehicle started to have significant problems as a result of that history. The point being made by multiple posters here is that there is a need for full disclosure of vehicle history, if your vehicle was in an accident or was salvaged or flooded it should be indicated right here in this section on the thread opened to advertise it. You could go a step further by posting photos of the damage and the current photos and the accurate odometer figures. Or you could Post the VIN, which would be acceptable. If you choose to do neither of these things and withhold that relevant information then you'd have yourself to blame either when someone else reveals that information and effectively marks your moniker as dubious or fraudulent, or real-world consequences come back to haunt you like the SARS case earlier referenced. Thank you. |

Autos › Re: 2months Registered Mitsubishi Montero Crispy Clean (SOLD ) by Ipfreely: 8:20pm On Mar 21, 2018 |
erico2k2: Reason this was repainted could be cloning of C number, mayB the one available at the time was black ,cos repainting and exporting your car from the west is nearly impossible. You cant just change your car colour, there are loads of huddles to go fru and that's even for fully functional vehicle Oh These changes are almost never made in the West. They are done right there in Apapa and a lot of other bodyshops in and around Kirikiri and other parts of Lagos. As soon as the vehicles get off the ships/out the container/ro-ro they get sent there straightaway. Would be insanely expensive to even fix any of these accidented vehicles in the US, for instance. |

chccho: I hope the mods on this thread are carefully taking note of how this "COSPLAY" has been spamming my thread all day and defaming me. I have been selling cars on NL for a while but as usual there are bitter and frustrated elements like this so cold "COSPLAY"hovering all over NL. He is in the habit of jumping from thread to thread and displaying his ignorance. He just registered with this handle in Dec 2017 and claims to sell a McLaren that he doesnt even have or has ever seen in his life Pls who is the fraudster btw u and i? My cars a shipped in through tin can port with all docs intact and readily available for inspection 24/7. So go get a life u reject of pigs (COSPLAY)
seun Lalasticlala You're very wrong here. Do you even know what defaming means? It implies that one states mistruths about someone to achieve a goal, usually to diminish the other's standing or reputation. I've gone through these adverts of yours and I have to say that you're the very kind of dealer here that that makes this place such a dangerous place to transact in. So many accidented cars with their mileage rolled back in incredible ways. You're not the first dealer here to go down the path you have chosen. Most of them never recover. Just look at what happened to Megatone, among others. Be wise. You've made mistakes, probably deliberate actions. Apologise for your shady practices and do better. Full disclosure is the key. It's up to you how you proceed. |
