A land dispute between two families led to two corpses being exhumed three weeks after they were buried.

The corpses exhumed in Isiozi Umuaka, Imo state, are those of a mother and her daughter-in-law who died 6 and 4 years ago respectively.

The dead could not be laid to rest after their death as there was no place to bury them due to the lingering land dispute. They were eventually buried on the land under dispute three weeks ago but this caused displeasure to the other family as the case is still in court.

The dispute took a turn for the worse on Tuesday, September 24 when both corpses were dug out from the land by the other family and deposited at Nwankwoikpa market square in Imo state.

Rivers State Police Command has confirmed the killings of two politicians in Obio/Akpor area of Rivers State during last weekend.

Confirming the incidents, the Rivers State Police Command spokesperson, Nnamdi Omoni, said the Police can authentically confirm the sad incidents but are still investigating the motives behind the killings of Anele Nwozuruka and Enebo Amadi of People Democratic Party and All Progressive Congress respectively, BelieveSpot gathered

In his words: "We can confirm the sad incidents of the killings of the two prominent personalities in Alakahia and Rumuekini Community, where political leaders were killed.

"Investigations will reveal the cause of the incidents but we can confirm authentically that two person were killed in these two communities and the Commissioner of Police has launched investigations of the killing which aim at unraveling the identities of the killers and then, the motives behind the killings where." Mr. Omoni added.

An eye witness who spoke on the account said one of those killed, Anela Nwouruka was a two times PDP Chairman of Obio/Akpor Local Government and was shot on Saturday in his house at Alakahia community while the APC member, Enebo Amadi was in Rumuekini by yet be to be identified gunmen.

Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike has called on Rivers people to patronise the entertainment industry in the State for the growth of Rivers economy.

Governor Wike made this plea while commissioning the newly built Port Harcourt Pleasure Park Cinema on Wednesday 11th September, 2019 as part of his first one hundred days for the second term, Governor Wike said that Rivers people should expend their funds on relaxation and entertainment facilities in the state capital. Governor Wike said: "This time, there is no need to travel to Dubai, United States or United Kingdom to relax or be entertained.

The Governor said that the new Cinema though built by the Rivers State Government, would be administered by a private investor for sustenance.

Governor Wike reiterated that the leadership of the State will not succumb to blackmail and negative propaganda.

Police officers operating under the code name, ‘Operation STING’, shot dead two suspected armed robbers on Saturday September 7, at Rumuagholu in Obio/Akpor LGA of Rivers State.

Spokesperson of the Rivers State Police Command, DSP Nnamdi Omoni, who confirmed the incident, said the police officer while acting on a credible information trailed a Black Mazda car with Reg.no KNM 504 Rivers with four suspected armed robbers on board who were on their way for an operation.

”On sighting the Police, the robbers immediately jumped down from the car and opened fire on them and in a return fire two of them were fatally wounded, while two others escaped with life threatening gun shot wounds.

He stated further that after the encounter, the following Exhibits were recovered: One AK47 Rifle, Eighty Three (83), rounds of 7.62mm, Two Magazines, One Pump Action Gun, Four Cartridges, and Operational vehicle.

Police assured that they have declared manhunt for the rest and efforts are seriously on to arrest other members of the deadly gang on the run.

"The Public and indeed residents of Rumuagholu and Rumuokoro are enjoined to increase their security consciousness and report any person or persons with gun shot wounds to the nearest Police Station via the following security numbers: 08032003514, 08098880134,08182157778"

Barely a month after Jennifer Nwokocha, from Omoku, headquarters of Ogba-Egbema-Ndoni council area of Rivers state was reportedly strangled by a stranger in a hotel in Woji axis of Port Harcourt on 13th day of August, another unidentified Lady has again been allegedly murdered in a hotel in Port Harcourt.

According to the report, the lady was killed in Diver Hotel in GRA area of Port Harcourt, Rivers State. This is the third time in the past three months that such incident is recorded in the State.

The State Police Command is yet to make a statement on the incident.

Nigerian comedian, Klint Da Drunk is full of praises to God today after he survived a terrible car crash along Bauchi-Jos express road.

'please, help me in praising God Almighty for delivering us from the Jaws of death. Along Bauchi-Jos express road, we were involved in a terrible car crash. We boarded a golf 2 on charter as it was the only means to move.

The driver was careful enough so I had no issues with him but then, out of the blues, a truck jumped right in front of us. The road was wet as it had been drizzling.

The driver tried all he could to stop the car but the slippery road just made it look like he did nothing all I was shouting was "JESUS! JESUS!! JESUS!!!" and with a speed aof about 100km/H or there about, we rammed right into the back of this truck.

God being so merciful and wonderful, we got of with very minor injuries.how the tail of the truck was stopped from causing major damage on us is just God's doing.

God I thank you for life, I thank You for Your Mercies , I thank You for Your Grace and for your love on sinners like us.

Two weeks after twenty-three-year-old, Maureen Ewuru, who hailed from Abia State was found dead in a hotel in D-Line axis of Port Harcourt, Rivers State, another yet unidentified woman has been found dead in another hotel in Woji axis of the State.

Confirming the incident, the State Police Polic Realation Office (PPRO), DSP Nnamdi Omoni said the identity of the woman is still unknown as at the time of filling this report.

DSP Omoni said preliminary investigation showed that the woman was strangled by yet to be identified suspect in the hotel room.
