Politics / Former Eleme PDP Youths Leader Breaks His Silence On Prudest Hotel Demolition by ipreach: 9:23am On May 15, 2020
Princewill Osaroejiji, Eleme LGA PDP youth leader in Rivers State has finally spoken out on his ordeal with the Rivers State Government on the demolition of the hotel in his area.

In his interview monitored by BelieveSpot on today (Friday, 15th May, 2020) with a radio station in Port Harcourt, former youth leader accused Rivers Commissioner for framing him up and misinforming Governor Nyesom Wike.

He also denied that no Task Force member was ever beaten as circulated on social media, sayinf "everything was stage managed just to tarnish his image before the Governor."

When asked how he got involved in fracas with the State COVID-19 Task Force, Princewill said; "When I was called upon by the manager of the hotel (demolished Prodest Hotel), he said there are some men that came there, and they said he should give them some money,.. because I know that place has been short down for long."

"I went there, when I got there it was people I nominated, the person I nominated... eehn Nkolowa Saka, he is my personal CSO, I nominated him for the state Covid-19. They were just 4 persons.

"How will I led thugs to beat up people I nominate? This is not what Governor asked you people to do. Why will you go and ask for money? Is the hotel in operation? Even if it is in operation, you have to stop it.

"Because he (Finance Commissioner Isaac kamalu) wants to fight me, he has vowed not to forgive me. He was close to Governor that's why he misinformed Governor. That's why I want Governor to call all the Chiefs, all the whole leaders of PDP in Eleme.

"Nobody beat anybody. Most of the people that were lying down in the hospital...Governor brought food for Eleme people on Sunday, that's the same day they demolished the hotel, those people (people lying down in the hospital) were there sharing the food, every ward went with their own.

On Monday they shared the food, this people were sharing food and people where seeing them. Nkolowa Saka was the one that shared their unit own, which is the Covid-19 palliatives, that was on Monday.

"So do you see? For them to go and just lie down in the hospital, bandage themselves in the evening of Monday, that's a wrong information.

"If any person was beaten up, they can not be there when they were demolishing the place, and that the same Sunday they went to the area command where they shared food. On Monday they were sharing food in the community and people were seeing them. Let's even assume they were beaten up and they were hospitalized, will people be seeing them?

"I married 17 years ago, I have 6 children, I have never been hand-coved before. I have never been indicted somewhere, I have never been invited anywhere for criminal issues. How could I be part of...to lead thugs? I fight against cultism, criminality. So why will it be Covid-19 something that they will declare me wanted?

"I want the Governor to see me one-on-one with the whole leaders. Please this is my pleadings to you.

"So many things has been happening in the party, they can suspend somebody and they can recall back the person when they find out the truth, when they found out the truth because he (the Governor) was misinformed.

"I am not worried about the suspension, but let the truth be said. I can not leave APC to PDP and they give me an appointment now, suspended from the party then I go back to APC, I don't do things like that. I will remain until Governor finds out the truth.

"The owner of the Prodest Hotel, I saw him last 5 years ago. If I see him now I can not recognise him. The owner of the hotel... he doesn't even live here, he lives in Lagos. Five years ago was when I know.. eeh I saw him, five years, if not more than. I am not the owner of Prodest!

"Some persons that have meet me that I should go and make them local government chairman, and I said I am not the one that will select who will be local government chairman, are involved in this thing, and I will tell them one by one. This thing was a framed, framed, framed story!!"

Recall that Prodest Hotel Eleme was on Sunday demolished by the Rivers State Government for allegedly flouting the Executive Order on closure of hotels in the State.

United sealed the shock deal late on Friday evening on deadline day for the former Watford striker.

He will join Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side until the end of the season.

The Club have now confirmed the deal with the Nigerian through a statement on it's official website

"Manchester United can confirm that Odion Ighalo will join on loan from Shanghai Greenland Shenhua until the end of the season."

"Ighalo began his professional career in his native Nigeria with local clubs Prime and Julius Berger, before sealing a transfer to Norwegian side Lyn in 2007."

"During that time he made three appearances against United and one at Old Trafford, losing twice and winning once, while also earning an assist."

Politics / 'She Was The Wife Of My Dream' - Timi Alaibe Remembers His Late Wife, Alaere by ipreach: 9:08am On Jan 31, 2020
Timi Alaibe, a Nigerian born technocrat, businessman and politician from Bayelsa State has in this new piece written a touching tribute in remembrance to his late wife, Alaere Augustina Alaibe.

In his post, the businessmen wrote:
"She was the wife of my youth. We met in the university. Our friendship seemed moulded in heaven. We grew up loving and trusting each other. We studied and blossomed together.

"One day, I started nursing the thought that coming together in marriage wouldn’t be a bad idea. We were now out of school. Maturity had set in. A burning desire not to let her go wrapped its sensational fingers around me.

"Then I took a deep breath and dared the topic. I proposed to her. She looked at me in the eyes, flashed an unnerving smile and uttered those few words: Yes, I will marry you.

"Instantly, I got lost in joyful imaginations. I had found the love of my life—someone who was as recklessly optimistic as I was. I knew I was in love. And she was too.

"Days passed pretty fast. We got married after fulfilling all prescribed protocols in line with Ijaw customs and traditions. She was a Lagos girl. But I wasn’t completely a village boy...a veritable Port Harcourt Boy. We never competed. We only complemented one another.

"It did not take long for me to discover that if I would ever become anything in life, she would play significant roles at different times. I was right. And she was ready. We made mistakes as humans. We corrected ourselves as lovers.

"We faced life with determination. We had some high and low moments. But we never abandoned each other. We shared a common Biblical belief that though weeping may endure in the night, joy comes in the coming.

"She encouraged my risky ventures in business and politics. Certainly, there were times things didn’t work out as planned. But through it all, we enjoyed success together and learned profitable lessons from our short-lived failures. She respected my decisions and I cherished her counsel.

"With children arriving as planned, she became not just a loving wife but an adorable mother. She was a better manager of home affairs than I could ever imagine. While I roared and soared, she guided and directed and put the home in order.

"She was the wife of my dream. She cared for the neighbours. She loved their children as she did hers. It was her belief that education of the girl child was as much a priority as that of the male child.
She preached it. She practised it. She started a school for mothers and the motherless. A community library was built. She dedicated a hospital to the downtrodden. She lived her dream. With global recognitions, awards started pouring in from outside and within.

"Life was beautiful until the bad news came. She was sick with something terminal. No! That was not to be believed. How can someone so conscious of healthy living be so sick with something incurable!
We went in search of cure and found none.

"Then exactly today, January 31, eleven years ago, she passed on. Her name was ALAERE. She was my wife; the mother of my children.

"Yes, we have since moved on. But her memory cannot be erased. Her imprints will remain forever. Love does not die. Love only translates to higher glory.
Eleven years ago, ALAERE moved to the great beyond. Eleven years after, her impact on earth is still fresh.

"The memory of the righteous will always be delicious. We all miss her. But the children are proud to have had a mother such as she was. I am personally glad that I married the love of my life. Join us as we remember our beloved ALAERE today."

The former managing director of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), loss his wife, Alaere to lung cancer eleven years ago, January 2009, leaving behind five kids and women who benefitted from her benevolence and philanthropic activities, through her Family Re-orientation Education and Empowerment (FREE), an NGO designed to help the women of the region resolve the development dilemma confronting them and also help them become literate and empowered. And to celebrate her, Timi held a special thanksgiving in her honour.
