Sosoliso air crash survivor, Kechi Okwuchi, who came to limelight again for her incredible performance on the America’s Got Talent show, is expected to perform at this year’s edition of African Muzik Magazine Award, otherwise tagged AFRIMMA 2017 Awards & Music Festival, where she has been invited as a special guest.

Announcing this on Tuesday, Founder/CEO of AFRIMMA, Mr. Angerson Obiagwu said; “The star singer who is one of the two survivors of the infamous Sosoliso air crash has mystified the world with her talents. Come see her at the House of Blues, Dallas at AFRIMMA 2017 Awards & Music Festival.”

This will be Kechi’s first engagement after leaving the America’s Got Talent competition where her music talent earned her worldwide acclaim.

Organisers of the event had earlier named notable Nigerian stand-up comedian, Bright Akpocha, aka Basketmouth and Kenya-born East African rave comedian, Chipukeezy as co-hosts of AFRIMMA 2017.

The show which, according to Obiagwu, will hold at the House of Blues, promises to be the best, going by the combination of the West and East African helmsmen, and a host of other performances and side attractions on the night.

AFRIMMA 2017 is scheduled to take place in Dallas, Texas, United States on October 8, 2017.

Plateau United has emerge as champions of the Nigeria Professional Football League for the 2016/17 season. Plateau United clinched the glory after beating Rangers FC two goals to null at Rwang Pam Stadium Jos, Nigeria.

Suspected ritual killer, Ifeanyichukwu Maxwell Dike, who escaped from the custody of the Rivers State Police Command last month, has revealed how he managed to get to Jos, after been rearrested by the Plateau State Police Command.

Dike, a 300-level Physics student at the University of Port Harcourt, was apprehended by a vigilance group on his way to dispose off the body of 8-year-old Victory Chikqmso, whom he allegedly kidnapped, raped and murdered.

He, however, escaped at the state CID, barely 24 hours after being paraded. But the Plateau State Police Commissioner, Mr. Peter Ogunyanwo, said the culprit was rearrested in Jos, after breaking into a house in Barkin Ladi to steal.

Dike while speaking with journalists, said he travelled to Jos from Port Harcourt through a trailer that loaded goods to Jos. “I came to Jos on August 21, 2017 because I was trying to run away from the alleged ritual offense I was said to have committed, but I am not a ritual killer.

I only had sex with the girl and cut off her body while trying to escape from the environment, but I am not a ritual killer,” he said.

While speaking on why he was arrested trying to robbed a house in Barkin Ladi he said: “I thought it was an abandoned house because I was looking for a place to hide so that people will not identify me, but unfortunately the owner was in the house and he raised alarm then I was arrested.”

A Kenyan man was recently caught pants down with his neighbour's wife in his house while they were getting down to business.

According to Kenyan-post, the woman's husband has been suspecting her of an illicit affair for long and decided to lay an ambush to get her caught.

On one faithful day, the man who had pretended to be out for work, received a tip off when his wife was spotted making her way into the man's house. The man stormed into the house with some friends and caught them in compromising situation.

Today, August 24, 2017 marks the 80th posthumous birthday of late politician, businessman and philanthropist, Chief Moshood Kashimawo Olawale Abiola, (CFR).

He was born on August 24, 1937 and he died on July 7, 1998. He was famously referred to as M. K. O. Abiola, he was a popular Nigerian (Yoruba) businessman, publisher, politician and aristocrat of the Yoruba Egba clan who hailed from Ogun State.

He ran unsuccessfully for the presidency in 1993, and is widely regarded as the presumed winner of the inconclusive election since no official final results were announced.

He died in 1998, after being denied victory when the entire election results was annulled by the then military president Ibrahim Babangida because of alleged evidence that they were corrupt and unfair.

May his soul continue to rest in peace!
