I don't understand. Enlighten me.

Ok, let me break it down a bit for you.

An IP address known as Internet Protocol is a string of unique numbers that identifies a computer to a particular network. Let's say for example: you're connected to the network of your school. This connection is like a bluetooth connection, but the difference is, it is a number that looks something like this: 216.3.128.12. This number is so unique because it is different from other numbers that belong to other computers in that same network of your school.

Now, although you have a unique ip address, it looks hard to start memorizing those numbers.
Let's say you are having a hard time connecting to your school's network and you want to diagnose the issue. You want to know if the necessary connection on your end is intact, then you can try to connect back to yourself through a process called pinging (loop back)

Now the technologist across the world decided that you can use 127.0.0.1 to ping yourself and check if your computer is working perfectly in terms of connection.

Apparently, when you type that number into the url space of your web browser eg mozilla firefox, chrome etc, it will comeback to you and as such 127.0.0.1 is called localhost or home.

Got it?

Interesting and enlightening..

I saw a picture that States: There's no place like 127.0.0.1 What does this mean?

It means "Home"

A problem identified is half-sovled. Packing is vital in all we do.
If you carry not more than 2 liter, make sure the cap is seal properly, not have it as a carry-on baggage then it should be fine. I love to cook my traditional food for my oyibo friends and have been traveling with my palm oil, egusi, anchovies, and semolina to different countries for the past 10 years. China seized my toothpaste in my carry-on but would have been fine in my checked in luggage.

Chairman, you were lucky bringing palm oil to Australia. Mine was in my luggage, not carry on and the naija scanner and immigration refused to let me carry it.

Hello guys,

So I heard to get a chinos trouser in Aussie is like $100, even bathroom slippers $15. I even heard shoes are too?!.

1. What can you say about that?.
2. What do you suggest I come with from Naija.
3. Where do peeps shop for less in Sydney or Aussie generally?
Come with everything comable (lol). Yes things can be expensive here but when you get used to the system you'll decipher what's expensive and what's not, what is needed and what is wanted.
Infact I'm looking for anyone coming to brisbane from abuja.

Career / Re: HND Holder Vs Third Class Degree Bsc Holder: Which Is Better? - EDUREGARD by iriferi(m): 8:49am On Jul 08, 2016
When you decide to work or live abroad that's when you will see the relevance of Bsc.
Not saying Hnd isn't good either. You can compare both in Nigeria, but once you decide to try outside (eg US, UK, Canada or Australia) you'll recognise the difference.

But 3rd class sha.

Hey house
Just wanted to share my success story and give some encouragement
So i am just about to enter the final semester of my MSc and have just landed a job at the largest oil and gas company in Australia
This job has taken all my worries away as they are also sponsoring me for PR.
How did i do it? First of all, study as hard as hell. Yea, i came top 2% or so in my class.
Secondly, use the career services department in any school you are going to. Yea, as soon as you arrive, find where the career services dept in your school is and find out and use and and every service they have. Its free while you are a student, use them HARD!!!
Thirdly, this advice may sound corny to people who have experience before coming here (i had 8years banking experience too from Nigeria) but target graduate programs to get this kind of PR gig i got.
See what happens is companies that take you into their grad programs have an obligation to keep you till the end of it. And most grad programs are longer than your post study visa. The compromise therefore would be to apply for PR for you. And if the company is as large or as good as mine, their grad program would pay more than most regular jobs in Australia anyways.
Anyways congrats to all of you who just got their study visa, its a long road but you got this wink
Congratulations bro. This is what malkinburg was talking to me about. All those coming over keep your head down, focus on achieving your set goals. Once you step out of Naija it's a different ball game all together. Goodluck.

Believe me when I tell you someone told me the same thing some months ago

Could you tell me the reason for yours? And if you've been to other countries as well..

Thanks smiley
From my first day to this very point in time, I haven't experienced racism. I've heard people talk about it but I have not experience it.

There are times when my white friends show more concerns towards me than even my Naija friends.

I've been showed more love by people I don't even expect to receive love from.

If I'm to make a choice over again, I'll pick Australia gladly.

Those in Australia, what's it like there?
Comparable to the US or Canada? Friendly people?
Still having a hard time deciding between those 3 countries

I was once in same spot as you are right now, making choice as to which country you'll want to study and live in. I picked Australia, and in My "Honest Opinion" if I'm sent back to make a choice about where to study and live, I'll pick Australia with reckless abandon this time around.

Please with this recent CBN ban on the use of Naira cards outside Nigeria. Who knows how one could move his leaving expenses from Naija to Australia cus even if one open a domiciliary account u can't still fund it with naira and banks don't sell dollar anymore, even if u buy from aboki to lodge into ur domiciliary account banks don't accept dollar deposit anymore. Please i need ur advice.

Banks like Zenith Bank did not ban the use of naira master card abroad. They reduced the limit to $500 a month...

@Triggeredsam, I'll take my time to reply you post here and don't quote me again.
1. you say I work for one of these agencies. You should ask about me from Futuredon and Marlking. These are individuals that are well known here and they've met me. May be just may be you'll know something about me.

2. You talk about shortest route. Let me ask you, between 573 and 572 which one is the shortest route to Australia? haha, you can't answer that here.

3. You talk about 573 courses being over $10,000. No doubt about that. what you fail to understand is that Tuition fee is not base on visa subclass. Dude are you sure you know what you're typing?
Let's take for example UQ AND griffith. Both schools are under SVP, if you doubt that ask futuredon he is a student of UQ. but the tuition fee of UQ is over $10,000 per semester. How do I know that? like I said in my last post I researched.

4. just because you set a trap for the rats in your house does not mean that all the rats will be caught by that trap.

5. I got nothing to explain to you here. No one is perfect, not even the rat that scaled your rat trap.

6. Dude Australian students are also paying their fees if you don't know. the difference is just the amount they pay is different from what International students pay. Come on! do you even research before writing these stuffs? Na their country for crying out loud.

7. those 60% that don't have a degree please show me the top Management position held by them?

From the above I hope I have been able to open that your closed eye that is telling you that you can just leave Naija and enter another person's country and demand that you get the same treatment as them.

Peace, have a lovely New Year

Happy New Year Fam.

Now let's get down to business. I want to make it clear that just because your course of study is under 572 svp doesn't make it cheaper when compared to that of 573. because I read where Triggered... was implying that.

Secondly, while you're in Australia and you find it hard to pay your fees you can apply to pay bits by bits. How do I know this? I asked questions from the finance department in my school.

Furthermore, if worse comes to worse you can defer. I've seen students defer a semester.

In addition to all that's written above, if you can provide Statement of account that shows that you're financially stable please do.

Finally from what I've observed while reading Pretoria's decision on student it seems 572 is a trap. if possible any visa applicant from this Region (Africa) and Nigeria should apply under Al3/573.

Peace. Have a lovely New Year everyone

@iriferi

its dia lagos branch oo. its not getting it from BCIE. but they said dey need to submit the statement to griffith university before they will send my ecoe
you don't need to send your SOA to griffith to get an ECOE. tell them to give yiu your ECOE. they already have it with them. Don't smile, be serious about it.
it is also written in the griffith handbook. after payment of the required amount of tuition fees and OSHC you'll get your ECOE.

PLZ I GOT ADMISSION FOR MASTERS FROM GRIFFITH UNIVERSITY.

I HAVE PAID MY FEES LAST WEEK ND WANT TO PROCESS MY ECOE FROM THE SCHOOL TRU MY AGENT ( BCIE)

BUT MY AGENT WIC IS BCIE IS REQUESTING THAT I SUBMIT A THREE MONTH STATEMENT OF ACCOUNT FROM MY FATHER TO ENABLE ME GET MY ECOE.

SO MY DEAR BROS ND SIS AT GRIFFITH UNIVERSITY OR ANYONE WITH GOOD INFORMATION IS DIS DEVELOPMENT A NORMAL ONE OR PART OF THE PROCESS TO GET A ECOE.

BCOX BCIE ARE REALLY GETTING ME VERY ANGRY WITH THEIR DEMANDS AS THE DAY GOES BY. PLX I NEED UR REPLIES AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. @ ALL
it is not normal for them to hold your ECOE pending when you provide a statement of account.
that said, BCIE has a 90% success rate when it comes to Australia Visa (I guess) and so they are trying to maintain that record.
what branch of bcie? Abuja or Lagos?

Thanks for ur response bro, please what was the former procedure if likely it has change?
the former procedure is to go to Abuja for a renewal. I think you have to present a police report about the stolen one. but it's no big deal. I don't know if they do renewal in Lagos. All I know is that it cost more in lagos than abuja. because the Immi officers will still bring your application to abuja
