While my preferred candidate, Katsumoto, made it through to the final votes, I was concerned about the way Afam, a long-term Nairalander and very active contributor here was summarily disenfranchised. How pervasive is it? Is it deliberate, circumstantial, self-inflicted, or is it just normal short-term condition for the "rebel" side in ANY civil war (USA south for example)? I have made it through 40% of the Nomination thread, but have not seen why Afam is ineligible, or whether, similar to the previous election, (some) non-Igbos are eligible to nominate.
