Oga Saipro, may I have your mail address please? |
[quote author=Oshomo12 Sorry for the bolded. It was a mistake |
[quote author=Saipro. Oga Saipro, you're in the right position to answer my questions because you used 4 PC's of 12v 200Ah batteries (48v system) with 3 or 3.5kva inverter in 2015/2016. How have you been managing you loads then because I intend to setup a similar system? Have you been loading your appliances while charging (with solar panels) or you've been waiting for it to be fully charged before loading? If loaded while still charging, have you ever gotten full charge, say 52v or thereabouts? Whatever you use to have in the evening, has it been sustaining you till the following morning? My intending usage is: Day consumption: 600w x 12hrs = 7200wh Night consumption: 400 x 12hrs = 4800wh. My system setup plan: 4 pcs of 12v 230Ah tubular battery. 48v/3.5kva inverter. 8 pcs of 320 mono panels and 48v/60A mppt charge controller. |
[quote author=Dam5reey. Boss, I intend to use 7200wh during the day and 4800wh during the night. I'm yet to minus 50% dod. |
Gurus in the house, please response to my questions. |
In order to be sure of my budget, I wish to ask: If I charge my batteries ( bank of 48v 920Ah) using solar panels ( 24v 2560w ), 3.5kva inverter with 60A CC and at the same time using my appliances of about 600w, is it possible to get production of 54v display on cc with the peak of sun? If yes, how many hours precisely? If no due to appliances usage while charging, what could be done to store current in the batteries for night usage while I'm still making used of the day output from the panels? Night consumption is 400w. |
[quote author=IYGEAL post. Thanks for your idea |
I saw a write-up in this thread where someone was trying to explain why series connection is the best and another person was also saying parallel is the best. He said in parallel connection, we should not forget that the more energy you take, the faster the battery discharges. In other words, rate of discharge is slow in series connection than parallel connection. |
[quote author=Valto post I was actually looking at a case study where four batteries of 12v 200Ah are connected in series to give 48v 200Ah and another four batteries of 12v 200Ah are connected in parallel to give 12v 800Ah. Under an ideal circumstance, which of the two connection will us the best result? Put the rate of discharge and the lifespan of the battery into consideration. |
Parallel connection and series connection, which one is better? |
[quote author=Valto post Thanks |
To be very frank, I'm really discouraged to replace my Gen with inverter/solar system because of the rate of its failure. I'm also aware that 80% of the system not functioning well is as a result of load mismanagement. So I decided to inform a friend about my consumption with the setup below: 3.5kva/48v genus heiwa inverter. 48v/60Ah MPPT charge controller. 8pcs of 320w mono panels and 4pcs of 230Ah/12v genus tubular battery. His calculation is shown below: My consumption is 500w x 24 hours = 12000/1000 = 12kwh. Exact battery bank capacity needed is 12kwh/48v = 25 x 2(no of days) = 50Ah Battery charge rate is C20. DOD of 50% with 90% efficient. Rated Ah capacity of battery/desired DOD% = Actual Ah/inverter efficiency% = Usable Ah x No of battery in parallel = Total battery bank capacity. I've asked him the following question and I'm yet to get reply. Does my setup above match to the calculation? Though I was planning to make the mono panels 9 instead of 8 but I will like to get the actual battery bank capacity needed for my setup from the gurus here. I intend to go off grid. I also intend to manage a maximum of 500w during the day and 250w during the night. Please, put DOD and inverter efficiency into consideration. |
[quote author=olopan post=102940458]This is fine, as long as the genus inverter does equalization Please, someone should enlighten me on the issue of equalisation above. |
[quote author=Oshomo12 Thanks for your advise. |
[quote author=Oshomo12 I understand your points. For the sake of our hard earned money committed to this project, we want something that will last for us. I personally do not like to go for substandard products. I'll rather wait until I get the required fund instead of managing fake things, not even in a case like this which is very dangerous. Please, let us encourage ourselves here to always go after original products to avoid story that touch. This is faceless forum which we shouldn't be afraid of anyone by telling others substandard products being advertised here. |
I intend to buy 320w mono panels and I wish to ask; China made and Canada made, which one is more better? |
[quote author=olopan I appreciate your timely response sir |
I intend to use it with 4pcs of 230ah tubular battery with 8 mono panels of 320w each Consumption: 1 chest freezer. 1 freeze. Total lighting 100w. 55 inches Hisense tv. 1 dstv decoder. 2 ceiling fans and 2 standing fans. |
Does genus heiwa 3.5kva/48v inverter have remote monitoring features? |
Please, I need dollar investment houses /platforms with low risk. I'll like to know the rate also. |
There's a thread for Australia student. Something of this nature should be channelled to that side. |
[quote author. That's it. Someone told me last week that a cup of carry is #100 and I was shocked because we've not bought carry and few other food stuff in our house for a long time now. We get them from our farm. Some family is used to bottle water, some are used to sachet water while some boiled water, filter it and drink. I've a friend who's a state civil servant I normally consult for advice, especially when I don't have enough cash to pay for labour. This guy build a house similar to the one in question. He usually pays direct labour. Sometimes he pays the block work in counting. The "hardship" in the country has changed our orientation and also taught us how to manage our hard earned money. |
I really think what the man have said could be achieved. 1. Mr A taste of building is different from Mr B. 2. The cost of living for Mr A is different from Mr B. Irrespective of the amount spent and the type of food consumed, they're all ok with it. 3. Mr A may choose public schools for his kids and Mr B may choose private. School Na School. In summary, we can achieve alot even with a token, depending on lifestyle and one's priority. |
[quote author I love your analysis. The summary of what you've written could be found in 1 Timothy 1:8-9 |
I hope Fg savings bond will join the attractive line |
[quote 364 days @ 8% is manageable, but I'm optimistic about the increase in rate on or before 30th of next month. |
TB rate is 5% for 1yr, 2.5% for 6months and 1.3% for 3months. First bank staff gave me this figure this morning. If this is true, then I'll look for plan B. |
[quote author=Kekereekun123 Thanks for your response |
Gurus in the house, does somebody really need citizenship to become a Customs Officer in Canada? My brother who's planning to relocate needs an answer to this question please. |
@ Mmamaroon and Goodnigga. I appreciate your response. |
[quote author=Enculer Thanks |
[quote author=Enculer I've not gotten to your level yet. I'll really appreciate if you could response in English. |
