sweerychick: PMB on the other hand chose to make derogatory statement about the region that feeds the nation (5%), and furthermore said that his government would treat regions according the support he got. So that means that 5% treatment is what we get, for every 100% plans of the government. My dear that is absurd and doesn't define a quality of a good leader. If you are aspiring to be a leader or president not everyone will support you, you will be hated by some elements, But what makes you a great leader is your ability to endure and carry everyone along irrespective of tribe, gender and race. The bolded shows you have no idea what it takes to lead, and I don't mean that condescendingly. You don't bring "everyone" onboard, only loyalists and people who will serve/promote your interests. Its just life. Yes, I think he should've worded his statements better, but I doubt "derogatory" is the word I would use to describe what he said. But thats the "Problem" with Buhari; he's straight to the point, doesn't sugarcoat, says what he means and means what he says. 99.9% Politicians all over the world would've been more diplomatic and politically correct, but their actions would've betrayed their true intentions. He didn't say he was going to starve them, he said his supporters mattered more to him. But, tell me, what is his Government doing across Nigeria that they are not doing in the Region that harbors the so-called 5 percenters? Point to how the East is being neglected compared to the rest of the country. |

sweerychick: well if igbos hated him, all he could have done is to try and accommodate them in his government, at least GEJ was hated by mostly the northern part of the country, but he accommodated everybody. . You will invite someone that has openly declared war on you and vowed to bring you down into your "war room" to see how you plan your strategies? Thats not how life works, my dear. You alienate detractors until they've proven themselves allies. Tell me, what happened to GEJ in the end? |

2. The Driver did not take a written or driving test before be jumped behind the steering wheel.
3. The truck was not insured.
4. The truck was not inspected by the state before being put on the road.
5. The driver was probably intoxicated.
6. The Governor probably has no idea that 1-5 are offenses or how to go about preventing such in the future through policies AND ENFORCEMENT .
7 Some people will blame Buhari for the run down nature of their states not knowing that even the Governors don't know their job description.
8. Nigeria is f*cked. |

Greatzeus: What perplexed me most is that, all these people still go to their various religious houses on Sundays and Fridays as the case may be. They pray sing,do all the stuff, come home from church, log in to Nairaland and start spewing their hatred and unfounded assumptions. How do you guys do it? Harbouring such contempt for your fellow humans, created by God how do you live with yourselves? If your Nairaland posts and other social media post were read to your church members, will you still be holding that position? If your Nairaland posts and other social media posts were read to your colleagues/ boss at work, will you still keep that job? Well its a known fact that hypocrisy runs deep in the veins of an average religious person. Or is it because nobody knows your true identity? May God forgive us all. Look around Nigeria, does it look to you like God resides there? The Muslims in the North are fake, intolerant, and fanatical, the Christians in the East are also fake, intolerant and fanatical. The way they practice their religion, do they seem to you like they truly believe in/fear God? They support crime and try to use God to hoodwink the populace. Im betting you were born when GEJ was using the Church as a means to indirectly destabilize the country during his tenure. At least the Muslims stone and chase away their thieving leaders from Prayer grounds, have you ever heard of a thieving Politician being chased away from the Church? Instead, sermons and services are held up when a Politician is running late. Actions like that are worse than terrorist bombs because the play into the psyche of the citizens and make them also want to acquire power by all means possible so that they too can be accorded the same "respect". Most Nigerians are atheists, they just don't know it. |

Bro that's d situation we find ourselves. We are not our brother's keeper in this country. The mind set of youth is soo messed up. Most of our cultures and traditions are affecting the way we run politics; very premitive. National orientation agency needs to rise up to their duties to reprogramme the brains and senses of our youths. As for our elders and leaders I doubt if they will ever change. For example using President Buhari for instance, he has a good mind to change the country but his inner most displeasure towards a section of this country and his unforgiving attitude is really complicating issues in Nigeria. If only he drops his pride and ego and have an all inclusive government I bet u, all these agitation of Biafra and Niger delta struggle will stop. An average Igbo just wants a comfortable life. The hate in our society is too much and as for me anybody believing these sets of Nigerian politicans is in for a long thing. I believe one day things will get better when we fully mature as a nation. I heard Italy was very bad those days but now that country is OK. I agree with the rest of your statements, the bolded parts I have a problem with. I will explain. President Buhari is a fine gentleman. He has his ways, yes, but there is no doubt that he has the best intention for ALL of Nigeria irrespective of tribe or cultural background. How do I know this? We worked closely with him in the past and his commitment to a Nigeria that "works" was never in doubt. What do you call an "unforgiving attitude"? His refusal to bring the same people that have sought to destroy him throughout his foray into politics any closer than he ought to? You and I know that he either surrounds himself with allies this time or he gets destroyed a second time. The so-called agitation for Biafra---at this present time--- is a farce. It is a combination of ignorance, tribal hate and Nigerian politicians trying to cover their tracks of theft by destabilizing the Nation. For example, Mr.Fani-Kayode suddenly became a Biafran spokes person just to keep GEJ in power so he could continue stealing for himself and his orange teenage child-bride (and their new born baby). Mujahid Dokubo Asari was debriefed on his return from Libya (where he received terror[ist] training), and believe me when I tell you theres no love lost in his heart for the Ibo nation. Forget all the blustering and agitation he does now in the name of Biafra, to him its all an ends to a means. Besides, what, in reality is the Niger-Delta Region but an imaginary contraption founded [based] on Oil locations by greedy politicians as another means to divide an already divided people? An average Ibo man wants a comfortable life, just like the average Hausa, Jukun, Tiv, Bini, Yoruba, Igala and other impoverished people all over Nigeria. What you want and what they want in life can't be that much different, just like what a thieving politician from Anambra or Enugu wants and what one from Zaria or Lagos wants are synonymous. It is You (ordinary Nigerians) v Them (criminals disguised as politicians) and until you guys come together---irrespective of creed, se*x and tribe---you will keep on running in circles and appropriating blame to the wrong quarters. |

DelGardo: It is hard to understand why Buhari is unwilling to probe and prosecute Jonathan and PEJ to send a clear message to his fellow yam eaters.
The merciful stand of this administration on that rotten couple has not won them new friends, neither has it impressed the destructive wailers.
So what's the point? I say do the right thing and bring them to justice. He can't/couldn't for a couple of reasons: 1.He agreed with Sec.John Kerry (U.S GOVT) not to prosecute GEJ and a few others if they fully co-operated and returned every penny stolen. Former President Jonathan (and his crew), as we all know, has violated the terms of this agreement severally so its only a matter of time before he's behind bars. 2 The South East will kick, scream, and shout if GEJ is arrested. 3.The charges have to be water tight and his guilt not be in doubt. Meaning, without convicting minions like Olisah Methuh, Mr.Fani-Kayode and a host of others--- and sentencing them to long Jail terms to serve as a deterrent to future Treasury pilferers---- he cannot go after the Don Dada. However, I think semi-literate Mrs. Patience Jonathan, taking all that into consideration has miscalculated by assuming she has absolute immunity thats why she had the cojones to demand for the money back. I think she just unknowingly dug her and her husband's grave. |

Nigeria's filth, individual lack of proper hygiene, and general public dirtiness is on a whole different level. And, Bed Bugs are not caused by "filth", per se. For example, say the OP visits your home right after coming from his trip and deposits some of those bugs in your couch, will that now make you dirty person? There was a time, right here in D.C, that we had alerts warning us of bed bug infestation in major hotels. The investment summit powered by Diamond Youth Initiative is being facilitated by powerful investment minded senior citizens of the South East as means of ending the spate of unemployment, joblessness and restiveness in the region, through partnership with Israeli businessmen.
He listed some prominent businessmen among whom are Ambassador Itshak Oren, former Israeli Ambassador to Nigeria and Benin Reublic, Colonel Yigal Barzilay, Mr Drio Ator, Mr Ilan Shekel, Mr Assaf Mr Diamant Dolev, Dr Kaspi Yoram, Dr David Day who will be interfacing with South East businesses. .
The Director General of Igbo Mandate Congress, Rev Obinna Akukwe , in his response, described Amb Uchechukwu Ekpere Paul as a man of vision whose initiative can make South East the Japan of Africa. He also commended the efforts of Professor Chinedu Nebo, Dr Chukwuemeka Ezeife and other key Igbo leaders who are linking up the Israelis with the South East on a purely economic purpose. The bolded made me spit out my drink in laughter. The South East is led by clowns, at best, and ignoramuses, at worst. They need leadership and social orientation asap. Always big talk, no action, and mediocrity galore. P.S: Its Ms Diana Dolev and Dr Yoram's first name is CASPI with a "C" not "K". And does Mr Assaf have a first name? logicab: Are you intentionally avoiding all posts that have highlighted the fact that the man is NO LONGER a lawyer? From documents, it appears he was disbarred even before 2013. Where does that leave all your arguments? Abeg next base jare. Notice, I ignored the clown. Its either he's blind, can't comprehend, on hallucinogens or all three. Talking about "Lets do some street talking". And thats who wants to school me on the law? He must think NL is South Side Extension. |
