It was ok. I did a comprehensive writeup in 2015 after I had my baby. You can search here.

Then doctores para ti total for vaginal delivery was 5410 But I see it has increased now to 5700(they added $40 to pediatrics and mandatory anatomy ultrasound $250).

You can pm me.

Kappyscode:
Hy how was your Previous El- Paso experience like can I PM you?
Thanks

So sorry about your experience.

This thing you said the VO talked about miracle moments could be why a friend of mine was denied last month. She was previously denied some months back(wrote her interview transcript here). She got another date in September but was still denied. She used the miracle moments package for both interviews.

God knows best jare. She gave birth in Nigeria on Tuesday.

I was thinking of using the miracle moments too next year but with this, I'll just go back to El Paso where I had my first baby. Besides I heard with miracle moments package, the hospital does not give itemized bill. Don't know how true sha.

DeeandGLady:

Hello Madam if you read very I said stay away from cheap hospitals I didn’t mention doctor here. The fact you and your friend were able to renew successfully I suppose via drop box doesn’t mean others have. Did you get an itemized bill from your hospital? That hospital will only pass through an interview with God’s favor and if not spotted, I know what I was told my sister, am here just to help my fellow ladies okay. After my advice it’s left for everyone to do as it pleases him or her, I have done the best I can.

Peadiatrician bill looked different then I saw a mandatory something that is $250 and something else cant recall, which I didn't pay back then.

I'll check again and send them an email to clarify.

Virtuousdiva:
Isy sleek I have been having my kids with doctores for years now and I am going back again this year..The cost still remains the same.

Been awhile someone posted birth experience with cost breakdown. What I see most times is "send me dm I will email you". Isn't this thread set up for all to see info? Hmmnnn...

As for those asking for doctoresparati in El Paso, I used them in 2015 and total bill was $5,410 for vagina delivery but going through their website recently, what I saw is over $5,800 for vagina delivery. So there agent here saying cost has not changed in 14years, am I missing something?

Good afternoon all.

Update on my friend who was denied last week.

She paid for another visa fees today. While scheduling appointment, she ticked "previously refused" on the page that showed:

*Previously Refused - If you have been interviewed and/or refused within the last 6 months, please select “previously refused.” Applicants will be denied visas for false misrepresentation*

The dates she saw were just Sept 17th to Sept 21st for Lagos . All other days in Sept to Nov were not available.

This answers the question for those not sure if you can book another appointment if you were recently denied. You can. Except if there are exceptions.

Please if anyone sees a closer interview date for Lagos, please let me know.

Now my question is: what does she need to do differently? The only thing that would have changed by her interview in September is that she is going on a family vacation (she, her husband and two kids) to Dubai for 10days starting this weekend. She is still applying alone.

I am asking on her behalf cos she is not on nairaland.

Please.

Thank you. She has never applied for a US visa. This is her first application.

Can you clarify what you mean by contradicting profile.

Her EDD is end of October so if this new six months rule is true, it means she can't make it.

Your friend seem to have a good profile in terms of travel history and home ties but another thing that should be checked is this has she previously been denied US visa, and hope she dosent have a contradicting profile. If not she could always reapply maybe the VO wasn’t in a good mood and could be luckier with another VO depending on her EDD cos of the new 6months wait time to reapply. My two cents
Travel / Re: Give Birth In USA: Cost And Procedures Part 6 by isysleek: 12:59pm On Jun 21, 2018
Thank you.

Is this 6months wait period confirmed?

ozycy:

I heard there is a 6months wait period now. while she wait, she should apply for Canada cos this US people have no joy right now.

Good afternoon all.

My friend had her interview this morning in Abuja and she was denied. Summary of her transcript below:

Her: Good morning
VO: Passport please. Why are you going to the US
Her: To have my baby
VO: why the US
Her: For better health care and US give the opportunity of dual citizenship
VO: How many kids do you have
Her: Two
VO: So why do you want to have this third one in the US
Her: My husband had a better job and we can afford it. (she had a letter from her hospital in Nigeria about her medical history but she did not mention it which I feel she should have)
VO: What is cost of this trip
Her: A little above $14,000 (she used miracle moments package)
VO: How will you pay for this trip
Her: My husband is paying.
VO: Where do you work and how much do you earn
Her: I work as Bleep at Bleep. I earn Bleep monthly and I also have other source of revenue as I go trainings abroad and I get paid in dollars
VO: Where does your husband work and how much does he earn
Her: he works as Bleep at xxxx and erans Bleep and quarterly bonus of xxxx
VO: Have you been outside Africa before
Her: Yes. Australia, Japan and Gambia
VO: Flips thru passport. what were you doing in Japan for three months
Her: I went for a course on behalf of the organisation I work for. the course was sponsored by UNICEF.
VO: How long will you stay in the US
Her: 10weeks
VO: I am sorry you do not qualify for a visa.

Please where did she go wrong?

Also she wants to reapply. She is seeing Aug 30th for Abuja and Sept 12th for Lagos as the earliest dates. She wants to choose Abuja again. Should she apply alone or with her hubby?

Please house, help weigh in on this.

Hello.

Can't remember word for word or in the particular order.

She asked for receipts, zero balance, statement of account from the hospital, why I used a visit visa to give birth, she kept insisting I lied, if I was pregnant again.

I showed her all my receipts and zero balance. told her my story of how I got the visa and travelled (check for my visa interview transcript), had to even show her the email I got from work back then that I had to work so could not go on leave. I showed her my bank statement when she asked for statement of account but she returned it and kept on asking for statement of account. I had to give her all the documents again, that was when she identified it (its the statement from the hospital that shows your bills breakdown from the time you were admitted to the time you were discharged). I didn't even know that was the name of the document.

Told her I was not pregnant at the moment(which is the truth). I just wanted to go on vacation.

Asked why I didn't visit again before my visa expired. Told her tickets were too expensive at the time my leave was approved so I decided to go to the UK. She then flipped my passport to check for the UK visa and entry stamp.

After all the long talk of question and answer, she approved my visa. She kept going through all my receipts over and over again.

I noticed that she denied all the people before me that went to have their baby and wanted to renew their visa. She kept asking for statement of account from them and they all didn't have it...well they all looked confused sha.

Could you please share your transcripts? What was the drilling like.

Did mine with my doctor's pediatrician about a week after deliver. It was $65 and the earring was like rubber.

But a friend did her baby's own at Macys and it was $60 which includes a 14k gold earring and the piercing.

Both piercings above were done in El Paso.

Oga this you statement is not true o. I paid all my bills and I was called for interview at renewal. Showed the lady all my receipts, zero balance and letter of non-indebtedness from the hospital and I got my visa.

Fizzywah:
Yes DropBox is still a thing. You shouldn't have any issues. They sometimes call for interviews if they have reports of unpaid medical bills incurred in previous visits. Barring that you should be fine. We got our visas renewed by DropBox and in all it took only 5 days.

Hope this helps.

Yes and I got my visa but the drilling(questions) was gangsta! Story for another day.

Have you gone for another interview?

All you would have taken for an interview if you did not have the drop box option in the first place

Thanks. It's not for missionary journey. I'm not pregnant. Just want to go for Xmas.

dere5:

Basically all your receipts, and if you had to send change of intent letter, print out their reply and take with you.
Is this new visa you did drop box for, for missionary journey? If yes, then also prepare as if you are going for a fresh visa interview, with all the works like Dr & hospital correspondence, buget sheet, bank statements, proof of accommodation etc

Thanks.

Put the name and address of the place you people would stay.

That's what I did for my mum last year.

Fyorgyn:
My people

Biko quick question

I'm filling the ds 160 for my mum to come join me in November. I'm still in naija but from the look of things I'd be in the US by her interview date. Please what should I use as her US contact. We have no relatives in the US and since I'm not a resident I don't think I can be her US contact.

I've filled in the address of the place we will be staying (which I'm paying for) but not sure if I should put my name as US contact.

Thanks.

Hello Nairaland mamas & papas,

This thread has been so educating,i have tried to read through as much as i can but i still need help. I would be so grateful if someone in-house could help a sister in need.
I am currently 26weeks+ with my second baby, hence due in December and i intend to travel in November, i have a USA visa B1/B2 which i used to give birth to my first baby at Phoneix(Arizona) in August last year. fortunately for me, my visa would not expire until April 2017.

Oh, for those doctors you mentioned, if u have their contact, discuss with them personally, the fact that they have had you as a patient, they will probably take you. You can also request specifically for them from rodolfo since u are an old patient.

Wow! Na wa o. And Del So was good to me o. Had my baby in May 2015. The care at the hospital was amazing and they even gave me a fully baked and iced cake for my baby and alot of other things when I was leaving the hospital. I guess too many people started flooding the place thus the bad service. That's always the case. Eg Dr. F of Oakbend

For the lab, I also got the the bill like two months after I left. Hisgrace lodge owner sent me the letter. Cos I didn't want future embassy and POE wahala, I called them and paid with card and got a discount and got my receipt via mail.

Thanks for the info.

slimwendy85:
@isysleek: those doctors gave up on a lot Nigerians around the time I went in June 2015. What I heard, emphasis on what I heard was, they were tired of Nigerians concealing information, and expecting them to perform magic. For example, someone who knew she had placenta previous from Nigeria, would claim her pregnancy was going well, knowing full well there were issues, and would refuse to go for a scan. Bottomline, they stopped taking Nigerian patients. About hospital, they still use delsol, but there is now an option of another hospital, Sierra Province at downtown. This development came up after I left because delsol started treating people badly and we complained. Yes, was a victim. I had a normal delivery, went 3 weeks later, was told my account was clear and my zero balance would be processed. 6 weeks after, was told I was owing 18 dollars, but the system couldn't tell what it was for. Then lab sent bills to almost everyone for mother n baby. In fact the bill came like 2 days before I left, a lot of people had even left when the bill came, and had to start calling to find out of they were owing, which h of cause they were told they were owing. If I didn't have contacts of people, they wouldn't know they were owing. I guess the feedbacks started getting bad. May be wrong sha.....

Please for the doctoresparati rep on this thread, is it true that you no longer use Dr. Martell and Dr. Monticone? And you also don't use Del So Medical anymore?

If yes, can those of us that used them, still use them for next baby?
Travel / Re: Give Birth In USA: Cost And Procedures Part 4 by isysleek: 3:51pm On Aug 11, 2016
Please why will we travel all the way to America and still be wanting Nig doc?? In my opinion, those Nig docs will still have Nig mentality and behave as such, eg Dr. F.

Personally, I can't travel abroad and allow Nig Dr touch me. Why then did I go to America??
I'm not saying all Nig Drs are bad sha.

As for research, when I was researching for my daughter's birth, I started reading this thread even before I got pregnant. Immediately belle enter, research intensified. I called so many hospitals and doctors in different parts of America. My jotter was so full, Infact, one will think I had an exam or cash award to gain.

Bottom line, let's help ourselves by doing extra research. You will even find some good doctors that are even cheaper. Some of us are already tired of seeing same names of Drs and hospitals here.

This one that hubby has started saying we have to start considering 2nd missionary journey soon, E clear say if I don't want to go back to El Paso(which is not likely),its anoda research work I want to start cos not so much new hospitals and Drs here anymore.

Just checked out of curiosity o... not travelling so no need for the exclamation mark biko.

Dwebb55:

Again the quotes were for October departure. Your departure date is just too close to today to get good rates. I checked Air Maroc and it's like N560K for the dates you stated. I always advise people to purchase their tickets as soon as your visa is given. The price might drop from August 23 but if the exchange rate stays at N380+, we will still have high ticket prices. Try and buy your tickets as early as possible!

As I'm reading I'm like it's either these people don't know how to research or dont actually innocently know they can get all these information themselves.

I've noticed it's something new.
U c a long post quote with pls can u send me the bla bla bla of the dr.?

I came online to actually drop transcripts of 3 of my friends from visa to delivery to hospital quotes. And a friends friend was deported. I cldnt even type cos I'm not ready for bombardment ( really really busy these days) since that's what's reigning
