jmaine:Peter Obi is nothing more than a bigot - look at him still trying to justify the restriction of movement even now with hindsight several years after the court had clearly pronounced it illegal or does he believe he had the power to unilaterally set the constitution aside? As for his other defence; I couldn't have expected anything less from him than complete denial from him; after all, how would you expect an unapologetic bigot be humble enough to accept his bigotry, As for you; well you come apparently as not much different from Peter Obi. See how you have conveniently avoided admitting the fallacy of your earlier faulty statement (concerning the reason for El Rufai's legal victory) along with the misapplication of two court judgements which clearly did not support it - after demeaning and insulting my intelligence. Bigots never admit their fault even when they know they are wrong - have a nice day. |
How come this bloody lootocrat, Stealing is not Corruption, even get mouth to talk sef? Lest not we forget how he sacrificed thousands of innocent lives and condemned many more to IDP camps in the NE, because of his 2nd term bid; he selfishly diverted money meant to fight Boko Haram towards his election campaign instead - as a result many died and families broken up, including those of his own soldiers.

Northerners are politically alive self respecting ppl who do not take kindly to insults. Recall how they repaid Jonathan in kind for not restraining his wife and kinsmen e.g. Asari Dokubo etc. We shall similarity not hesitate again to repay the side that harbours those that insult us. Yes, expect our Almajiri votes to be solidly behind Buhari for whom many of us had to bear all manners of insults for simply sharing the same region, religion or tribe, as the case may be. |

NaijaRoyalty:Bull crap, desperate Atiku/PDP propaganda: if Buhari was barred at all, it wouldn't have been because of his religious belief but because of his position as a military dictator whose government once attempted to kidnap from the UK and smuggle back to face justice in Nigeria the then exiled former minister Umaru Dikko (under the Shagari regime). Moreover, if Buhari was an extremist who wanted to Islamize Nigeria (as falsely claimed) he could easily have done so when he had all the power as a military head of state - when ironically the majority of his own cabinet were made up of Christians. This foolish stunt from Atiku could easily cost him a lot of Muslim votes - it was a clear senseless lie. |
jmaine:You are incorrigible. I am holding you to your words which you claimed that El Rufai won his case against the DSS because THE LAW DOESN'T RECOGNISE THE ROLES OF ARMED FORCES IN ELECTIONS. You foolishly even tried to support that statement by citing two court judgements - which did not actually say any of the kind, namely: Fed High Court Lagos by Justice Ibrahim Buba and Fed High Court Akwa Ibom by Justice Ibrahim Bature Gafai (who presided over El Rufai's case) - you furthermore provided the links but apparently did not do due diligence to either; because if you had and were not short of basic comprehension you noted that Justice Ibrahim Bature on declared the restriction of movements during elections unconstitutional but make no declaration on the legality or otherwise concerning the use of the Armed Forces (as you said) during elections. On the other hand Justice Ibrahim Buba of the Fed High Court Lagos could not have affirmed the judgement of Justice Ibrahim Bature of Fed High Court Akwa Ibom, because as Fed High Courts, both should be of equal standing, neither would superior to the other - only a superior appellate court can affirmed or refute the judgement of a lower court. Moreover, Justice Ibrahim Buba was not presiding over a case brought to him against the judgement in favour of El Rufai by Justice Ibrahim Bature but an entirely different case, in which he declared the use of TROOPS i.e. SOLDIERS and NOT the ARMED FORCES in elections (note the difference) as unconstitutional. Your use of the two judgements to buttress your erroneous assumption is as logical as seeing a cow for the first time and noticing it had four legs then subsequently seeing a dog and assuming that it too must be a cow because it also had for four legs - very silly, don't you agree? Finally, your continued reference to the card reader in this argument is so infantile & stupid, not even worth the trouble of responding. |
jmaine:Your words: He won the case cos the law doesn't recognize the roles of armed forces in elections . However, INEC still deploys them as a necessary stop gap measures to stem electoral malpractices This was later affirmed by Justice Ibrahim Buba of the Federal High Court in Lagos in 2015 when he stated "That the practice of deploying troops of the Nigerian Armed Forces in the conduct of elections when there is no uprising is “anti-democratic” and not in tandem with civil rule and constitutional democracy. If you had the power of basic comprehension you would noticed that reason you gave for El Rufai's victory does not coincide with the judgement by both justices you quoted; because the two are quite different. In the first instance; Justice Ibrahim Bature Gafai merely upheld the constitutional right of El Rufai or any other individual to his/her freedom of movement by declaring the latter's detention as unlawful without necessarily declaring that the deployment of the SSS or similar law enforcement agents in elections as unlawful - contrary to your abject poor interpretation. The judgement of Ibrahim Buba, on the other hand, is quite different; he declared deployment of TROOPS i.e. use of SOLDIERS in elections (in the absence of uprisings) as illegal - this was why I asked whether you understood the meaning of troops as against other law enforcement agent e.g. police, SSS etc. You really need to read and understand what you are quoting before exposing yourself in foolish arguments - access to knowledge does not necessarily translate to intelligence; it is knowing how to use that knowledge appropriately that matters. Now run along and behave yourself. |
Buhari get father and mother who brought him into this world in holy matrimony; unlike many of those insulting who are themselves the products of Wa Joko and baby factories - these are the real Bastards. |
sekundosekundo:You are a liar, because the first picture showing bodies being dumped into a pit happened under Jonathan's PDP government; the picture was among a set released by a cleric who was appalled by the extrajudicial killings of innocent young men by the military & CJTF as Boko Haram suspects; this happened in Borno not Benue - stop the propaganda. @TOPIC: Anyone who believes that APC or the President is responsible for the herdsmen killings is truly a big fool. Such ppl should ask why the killings have suddenly stopped (or considerably reduced) as soon as Benue indigenes including those connected to governor Ortom started being arrested for some of the murders e.g. killers of the two clergymen, head of livestock guards for illegal arms possession, govt funded militia armed with AK47s, illegal military training camps, indictment of Gana (another Benue indigene) for the Zaki Biam market massacre? If we extend same to Plateau and the killing of General Alkali, we can see the exposure of a systematic killing machine with the connivance of the entire host community (with likely repetition in other communities in other states e.g. Taraba etc of the MiddleBelt) along with the active collusion of silence by a once noisy mainstream media and the Christian Church/CAN. |
jmaine:You are the one who is pretending to be informed but apparently not. Do you think quoting an irrelevant judgement would prove your case? Do you even know the difference between TROOPS and other members of the law enforcement agencies especially the the Police & DSS? Was Justice Ibrahim Buba the one who presided over El Rufai's case and awarded him 5M damages for unlawful restriction of his movement in violation of his constitutional rights - did you actual read the judgement of that particular case? Peter Obi is definitely a bigot - read some additional allegations against him. https://www.nairaland.com/4839148/flashback-peter-obi-hate-speech |
jmaine:You are allowing your emotions to rule over common sense. Did you know that El Rufai sued the DSS and was awarded 5M damages for that infringement - he obviously couldn't include Peter Obi in the suit because as a sitting governor he had immunity. Like it or not, Peter Obi is an unrepresented bigot and we in the north have not forgotten or forgiven his involvement in the unlawful detention and profiling of our ppl as Boko Haram suspects, simply because they were travelling from the north; neither we have forgotten his discriminatory policy of registration and imposition of selective ID cards on northerners, nor the targeting of their markets (under the guise of cleaning up the capital city) as well as their deportation from the state - all of which he is yet to apologise for. |
Modarun:By repeating this part in his statement, the man is clearly still holding on to his earlier bigoted position of supporting the violation of EL Rufai's fundamental human right to freedom of movement and association - how can you unilaterally as governor use security agents to prevent somebody from leaving his hotel simply because you deemed it that he has no business in your state and still believe your action was correct. |
efighter:Even dem own leaders talk that one O!
|
CharleyBright:Please explain to us how come these supposedly educationally advanced southern Blodas (Faith Ogbona, Chidioke Ogbona and Sunday Ogbona) who hail from Ebonyi State were recently caught and arrested in their Lagos shop for mixing sniper to their beans; are they also from the north? https://www.pulse.ng/gist/3-brothers-arrested-for-selling-poisoned-beans-id6414702.html |
This is huge and would have a tremendous implication on those who hide under the freedom of speech to incite and disrespect Muslims. It would go a long way, if domesticated into local laws by governments, towards curbing religious unrest especially here in Nigeria, if ppl know that they can no longer insult the Prophet of Islam (as many Christians provocatively do) and go scot free. Seun should also take a leaf from this ruling and adjust Nairaland rules to make it an offence to insult any religion - since it is no longer a right under the freedom of expression. |
thesicilian:But the ones in the video seem to have Flat Heads. |
Okoro and wickedness are like 5 & 6. |
contigiency:GWAM! The man is truly stupid and must think that everyone also is as stupid as most of his easily deceived gullible folks. The video was showing an earlier well publicised test running of the electronic voting machine system introduced (and I believe successfully used in LG elections) in Kaduna by El - Rufai - as you correctly pointed out, it is yet to adopted for use in the upcoming 2019 general elections; so there is no basis for the allegation except deliberate intention to mislead and cause unrest. |
thesicilian:The feeling is quite mutual; I also often wonder why we should be joined with such emotionally immature tribal bigots; who clearly prefer to embrace ignorance than common sense. @TOPIC: I watched and listened to the video very carefully and found no evidence, from the accent and physical appearance, that suggested boys were northerners let alone Hausa; however, the clear distinctive voice in the foreground (seemingly of the person taping the video) directing them, in English, to mix it very well, came across as southern - contrary to the OP's claims. |
Na PigDiots work be this. |
They accuse Fulani of valuing their cows more than human life yet we can see how the same ppl can easily kill their own for mere phone and laptop - you be the judge. |
What an ignorant buffoon; he doesn't even know that both HSBC and UBS do not operate or have any investment in Nigeria but mere liaison offices, which serve only as their mail address and for other related purposes - so how does closure of these offices amount to any disinvestment of note? PDP misinforming their gullible lot. |
Auxtin85:There is nothing more terrifying than knowing that you would not only be killed but also eaten - we all know the tribe of Cannibals. |
Abeg, make una free Mr. President; the question should be whether the person is qualified or not for this minor position (who even heard of the border agency?) - and the answer is YES, he is qualified, shikenan. |
No be this one with her so called friends dey disgrace themselves all over social media including who fvcked whose boyfriend or brother just because of Dino Melaye. |
Very good, its about time they do something those haters and fake news mongers; hope they'd make those nasty hateful bigots Bishop Oyedepo, David Abioye and Suleiman among the top on the list |
LOL, IPOB Atikulooters how market?
|
Igbo vs Igbo, own goal, issorite |
Hateful POB youths how market? |
Don't mind them Mr president; even if you give 95% of the appointments they will still not be satisfied - it is their way. As you can see, there are many of them here threatening to send you back to Daura with their miserly 5% votes. |
The constitution only requires a candidate to have acquired education up to secondary school level or its equivalent, to INEC's satisfaction; it does not for a candidate to have passed any specific exam e.g. WASCE, NECCO etc. let alone tendering such certificate. Only certified permanent otondo olodos would continue expecting the president to be disqualified because he could not tender his lost certificate or insinuating that he never had one, even in the face all the earlier overwhelming circumstantial evidence that proved the contrary. Now with this final evidence; lets see if they would continue their foolish rant of 'Buhari show us your certificate'. |
[quote author=TruthHurts1 post=72633456]But why did he hire 15 SANS in 2015 to stop INEC from compelling him to release his WAEC Certificate? Is it not the case that he is now abusing his power in office to get WAEC to do what they could not do in 2015? You obviously are in need of a brain reset. So in your biased reasoning, you expect him not defend himself after being summoned before a court of law? In any case, the constitution does not require any aspirant to have a certificate; only evidence of attaining secondary school education or its equivalent. Now that a copy has been obtained; even the brain dead noisy rabble-rousers, who ignorantly still insist on 'Buhari show us your certificate' would finally have to shut up. |
