I don't get it.
Did they actually talked about appointment?
What has all the Stella Oduas, Chukwu Emeke Chikelu, Jim Nwobodo et al of this world done for them.
I expected these respected Igbos sons to be more particular about development plans/agenda for the region and what are actions taken in the last two years to actualize them.
Their cry of marginalisation has always been about what they perceive as lopsided appointments. In reality it is a blackmail ploy by their political class to stylishly angle for appointments for themselves and which their gullible youths as an avenue to vent their innate hatred against Buhari for winning the election along with his tribe, region and religion of Islam.
Unfortunately, whenever such claims are closely examined they would usually emerge as baseless, as currently shown by Buhari concerning political appointments or in the civil service as proven by research (in 2013) where Anambra came up tops https://www.nairaland.com/1366414/anambra-biggest-beneficiary-federal-appointments and more recently (in 2015) where Imo took over https://www.nairaland.com/2794832/numbers-federal-workers-state-origin

Sadly, as you rightly pointed out, even when given the the opportunity; their sons and daughter never do anything for their region, as we saw under GEJ when they had the Iwealas, Oduahs, Ihjerikas, Ikimi, Soludos etc, all occupying very important positions of influence ranging from finance to aviation, defence right to the heart of the government - but alas, all came to naught, neither did GEJ their adopted son delivered; because the truth of matter is that political appointees do not necessarily attract development to their regions of origin; which goes to show that the current phantom Igbo marginalisation and agitations are mere smokescreen to malign Buhari and his government.

However, the more they try, the more, it is evident that Buhari is a stickler to due process.

Baru, in his initial reaction maintained, that he Sought Presidential approvals before the contracts were awarded, and the then acting President just confirmed it...

ItsMeAboki, where is sarrki your brother? Comments are extremely few on this thread compared to other threads on this Kachikwu Baru saga.
What more is there to say after the truth has clearly emerged: that Baru had floored Kachikwu with facts and figures backed by the NNPC laws and guidelines of 2007, 2009, that well predates this administration which Kachikwu himself used and benefited from as GMD; but which he now hypocritically wishes to deny his successor from enjoying due to his over inflated ego; that Kachikwu has succeeded in emerging as a non team player, a bad loser and therefore an embarrassment to himself, his ppl as well as a liability to his present employers (the FG) for making this storm out of a tea cup due to an imaginary mindset of marginalisation; apparently no different from his kinsmen who always believe they are being victimised.

This is the Number one hate speech and the problem of Nigeria, if Indeed Democracy is a game of Number then how come Taxation is not a game of Number.

The same people who claim they have the voting Numbers do not contribute anything meaningful to the economy.

if by 2023 there is no power shift to the East Nnamdi Kanu will be a child's play

Only in this kind of country do we have people voicing out hate policies and they go scot but when someone Like Nnamdi kanu replies them we start hearing terrorism accusation from foools .
Pls if you have to insult; do so with intelligence and be factually correct.

First of all how can Dr. Junaid's speech be construed as hate speech; where were the essential ingredients of hate e.g. incitement, insults or threats?

Secondly; I hope you know the difference between regional contributions to the economy and contribution of same to the forex; otherwise you wouldn't have made that foolish statement because you would have known the major contributory sector to the economy in terms of GDP is in fact agriculture (the main output of the north) and not oil as many erroneously think.

Yes, when it comes to forex, oil contributes almost 80% to it; which in turn funds most of govt's activity (hence the importance being attached to it); however; when it comes to regional contributions the SE contributes less than 2% of oil and is the least in providing forex to the centre - so this notion of the north contributing nothing has already been debunked as hogwash because the real parasites are in the SE.

Pls stop playing ostrich, Nnamdi Kanu wasn't replying to anyone when he set up Radio Biafra to incite, insult and threaten northerners in particular and Nigerians in general with violence and war; nor was he replying anyone during his street marches and organised rallies when he was defiantly spewing his raw vitriol of hate.

Didn't the State Minister of Petroleum, Dr Ibe Kachikwu knew that as a State Minister of Petroleum he is automatically under the GMD? And that the law establishing the NNPC did not recognise the position of a State Minister? Why did he accept the role of a State Minister of petroleum if he knows his ego will be smashed if disobeyed.
I think he is a complete disgrace to the people of the Niger Delta and as such he should resign immediately.
He is very unprofessional in his conduct
Thank you for speaking the truth.

Kachikwu knew the laws, exercised and benefited from the laws when he was both MoS & GMD; yet he seems to now want them pulled down and moulded to suit his inflated ego.

He should be sacked pronto for embarrassing the govt and his kinsmen, who are currently looking for ways to spin the story to make it as if he was being maltreated; instead of what he truly is .i.e a bad loser who couldn't live by the rules he once enjoyed.

No need to see him; since all he had to say had already been disproved by facts and figures, especially the NNPC Act. and BPP guidelines (laws that predates Buhari, in existence since 2007, 2009) which he knew and used himself when he doubled as both MoS and GMD - the hypocrite should be shown door for creating a storm in a teapot.

Kaduna - Kano road that has turned to a death trap has also been completely ignored and many more; yet we are not complaining.

In fact I recently travelled by road from Abuja to Abakiliki through Enugu (my first ever going to the SE) and was shocked to see how manageable the roads were compared to the ones I left in the north against the cries of bad roads in the east.
Though what was even more shocking was the higher rate of accidents (as evidenced by many wreckage on the wayside) suggesting comparatively more rough/careless driving in that part of the country.

From the above list common sense should tell anyone that there was not enough fund to cover all the roads; in fact if any region should cry marginalisation it would have come from the SW; but they too are relatively silent - except the usual wailers.

Ok, Kachikwu seems to be working for IPOB. The guy just cooked-up figures to tarnish the image of NNPC in particular and the administration in general. I hope he would be sanctioned, he is the real insubbordinator. I think the Kachikwu guy is suffering from the hang over of the privilege done to him by Mr. President to allow him been the GMD as well as the minister of state for petroleum at the same time. After effect of Alpha & Omega thing syndrome affecting him.
Indeed, after reading this one can only but say that Kachikwu just finished rubbishing himself; he must have been aware of the enabling laws/guidelines, benefited from same while he doubled as Jr. Minister/GMD; yet turned around and hypocritically complain about another similarly being guided by the same rules.

Unfortunately, he not only ridiculed the govt he is currently serving but has completely ruined his own reputation; shaming his supporters along with regional and tribal jingoists wishing to capitalise on such opportunity in order to tarnish the president's image.

Kachikwu has sadly emerged from this as a hypocrite, a sour loser and non a team player who foolishly expects rules he once enjoyed be pulled down and remoulded according to his inflated ego - if I were Buhari, his days in this cabinet should be numbered.

Very silly analogy; not surprised at all since with a mindset like that of Kachikwu, you would similarly find blame against a man who acted well within the law, including approval from the FEC (with Kachikwu an active member) and apportioning same to Buhari for being sick and out of the country while being fully represented by his VP, Yemi Osibanjo as the then Ag. President - yes, you can clap for yourself for rational objective thinking.

Politics › Re: Debate On Mrs. Aisha Ahmad's Choice Of Dressing ( Deputy Governor Of CBN,) by ItsMeAboki(m): 8:41pm On Oct 08, 2017
NafeesaAA:
If you are a Christian and you think that Muslims criticising Aisha's dress are wrong, you are the one who is wrong, not because you have no business in the discourse but because you probably do not know how Islam asks Muslims to dress.

Indeed, Aisha's home ( Alh. Umaru Ndanusa) is a Muslim home. Now, what I am not sure of is if Aisha is still a Muslim. If she is a Muslim, those dresses are not the way of Muslims and Muslims have the right to complain about them. At that point, your duty as a Christian is to seek explanation as to how wrong they are on a Muslim's neck. If she is a Christian, Muslims have no right to complain. And their duty would be to continue with the business of living together in a mixed society like Nigeria.

The hypocrisy of all our complaints reside in the fact that before Aisha's case, Muslims have lived and transacted businesses with Christians whose dresses are worse than Aisha's, perhaps, because those people didn't call themselves Muslims. Also, Christians have lived successfully with Muslims putting on what could pass for deep Islamic dresses without qualms. Any muslim who says Aisha's dressing is not wrong is only being hypocritical. Allah says hypocrites exist among Muslims. He warned that they are terrible to be with. They can conjure misleading thesis to cause confusion. Muslims take their injunctions from the Qur'an and Hadith plus conclusions from their scholars, only.

Some of us who are Muslims know that Christianity forbids dressing that reveals the crevices of a woman; we know that Christianity promotes decency in dressing. Once upon a Sunday morning at ABU, behind Ribadu hall(girls hostel), a girl in her fullness of life was walking past, ahead of us to a church within the campus. Suddenly, we started hearing shouts and boos from atop the hostel: 'ashawo, seducer, sit not in front...' some Christian girls booed the badly dressed girl with a Bible in hand...instead of being remorseful, she stopped and began shaking her buttocks in the direction of her accusers. 'you don't have this', she replied. A Christian friend from Gombe who was with me simply concluded: 'wancan yar wuta ce'.

So, both Islam and Christianity, I know, preache decency in dressing. Perhaps, more than proclamation, Islam has gone further to describe the ways in which men and women should dress. Therefore, if any Christian must reach a conclusion on this matter, he must have the knowledge of how Islam prescribes her dress code. It doesn't have to be like Arabs. It could be a Nupe or Igbo or Idoma type of dressing but it has to be according to Islamic specification. A person's first responsibility to a group is to observe her codes.

Muslims who seek to correct any deviations must apply wisdom, diplomacy and persuasion either to a differing Muslims or a Christian needing education about what they know not in Islam. That's how the prophet of Islam did it. In fact, Christians are not the problem of Muslims in this matter but Muslims who know the truth and are pretending that her dressing is correct.

On the whole, the major problem is that Muslims think Islam is theirs only, when Allah says it is a package for mankind. If you take it all, how do others who are not Muslims access it. Nigerian Christians are no better; they also think Christianity is theirs. So, every little thing goes for war between these two groups.
May Allah bless you abundantly.
