Great, its long overdue; Sokoto and Niger share the same border; if there is oil in Niger then you should expect same for Sokoto - in fact it will not be a matter of if but when. Let the haters go and die. |
As usual, a one sided story; would like to hear the Fulani side on the issue before passing judgement; after all we already know how our blodas can twist or often fake stories to suit their agenda - just saying. |
newyorks:Nobody is holding you; if you no like am just waka comot, shikenan; however, I am quite certain there are more worse case scenarios in your own backyard (where ever it may be) - cultism among them - just carry your bigotry out of here, we don't need it. |
They will never disappoint - this one will soon be packaged back in a casket; he just bought a one way ticket to his maker. |
profmiganigal:A flattened head is often deprived of the power of logical thinking and deduction. |
PointZerom:When an ignoramus cannot factually counter your points he resorts to insults and bigotry - shey, you understand. |
PointZerom:Some of you espouse not only ignorance but stupidity as well - how can the national constitution be written by only section of the country at the exclusion of another? FYI, since 1966, Nigeria has operated only two constitutions; the 1979 and 1999 constitutions whose production were both overseen by (surprise surprise) southerners: The 1979 constitution was produced by Justice Egbert Udo Udoma (1917-1998) with input from the constitution drafting committee headed by Chief Rotimi Williams (1920-2005). Justice Udo Udoma was the Chairman of the 1978 constituent assembly. The 1999 constitution was produced by Justice Niki Tobi who was Chairman of the 1998 constitution debate committee. The 1999 constitution, which we still operate was promulgated into law on May 5, 1999 and had been operative from then till date. https://www.premiumtimesng.com/opinion/149240-1999-corrigenda-eric-teniola.html Secondly, the relocation of the capital from Lagos to Abuja came about pursuant to the recommendations of a committee charged with the responsibility to find and recommend a new capital anywhere in Nigeria; the committee subsequently came up with the more central neutral Abuja; it was headed by no other than Justice Akinola Aguda, a southerner. The founder of Boko Haram, Mohammed Yusuf, and the Shiite's leader Sheik El- Zakzaky had their houses not only raided but also reduced to rubbles; the former was in addition publicly and extra-judicially killed in handcuffs on the streets of Maiduguri - and nothing happened. Pls find a way to control that ignorant mouth of yours. |
Johnnyessence:Your reasoning is so flawed its unbelievable; so you think the Sukuk is to be blamed for the governor's inability or unwillingness to pay back the loan - how ridiculous can you be? Now, assuming that the Sukuk was not available; don't you think the governor would have taken the more expensive interest dependent conventional loan and therefore be in even more trouble? My friend, your brain needs restting - honestly. |
Anybody who threatens national security gets put away, court order or no court order; ask El-Zakzaky and Dasuki - it doesn't matter who you are. |
Mysterious fire indeed; what a coincidence. |
Nonsense terrorist propaganda |
Johnnyessence:Quite on the contrary, you are the one along with CAN who are apparently delusional and out of touch with the true realities on the ground. Pls kindly explain how Sukuk is bad simply because Osun State took out (an interest free) loan that it supposedly cannot pay back; why should the loan therefore be blamed for the state's apparent financial recklessness? Would it not have been a worse scenario had the state taken out a loan with full interest - how absurd and quite silly? |
Ngokafor:You contributed absolutely nothing to the argument except empty emotional lamentation about my tone of language, your apparent dislike for northerners and the failure of your leaders but at the end completely ignoring all the issues raised except your own prejudices - pls madam, address the issues not sentiments. |
Terrorists are welcomed to post and expose themselves while the DSS and other law enforcement agencies quietly gather intelligence that would later incriminate them towards Kuje prison. |
CAN continues to ridicule itself as an ignorant intolerant divisive embarrassment to Nigerian Christians espousing bigotry rather than tolerance and understanding among Nigerians |
So I can now legally and legitimately say Kanu and all IPOBs are terrorists. |
professorPABX:You completely justified my points about the Igbo mentality of 'Its either my way or the highway'. In other words, even though we operate in a democracy you still expect the rules of democracy shouldn't apply when it comes to the SE interest. Perhaps you also expect the north should depopulate in order to reign in it numerical advantage. If the national assembly cannot resolve these problems then what legitimate organ can? Pls don't don't say national conference because whatever such body may come up with, its recommendations must ultimately have to be ratified by the national assembly.- and therefore an unnecessary exercise (duplication) in futility. The lack of southern unity you mentioned is no doubt caused by Igbo intransigent and unbending attitude; until they eschew from tribal politics of sentiments and embrace politics of persuasion and compromise then they will always come against the brick wall of a unified north; because that is exactly what brings northerners closer together. On the other hand, history has been on the side of the north when it comes to political liberalism: they picked Obasanjo from prison and installed him in Aso Rock even when his own ppl were rejecting him; they also voted for Abiola against their son Bashir Tofa - until the former turned the June 12 annulment into a tribal issue. Northerners also picked Igbos as presidential running mates; Shagri/Alex Ikweme; Buhari/Pius Okadigbo as well as gave Ojukwu full pardon and freedom to run for the highest office (who sadly was rejected by his own Igbo constituency). Igbo/SE position is akin to changing the rules or shifting the goal post in the middle of a match, simply because the game is not going their way - therefore proving them as dishonest co-travellers or unfaithful and hypocritical adherents of democracy. |
They have started again with their irrational hatred and blackmail against anything about Islam or Muslims to the point of foolishness. They forgot that Islamic Banking was initiated by no other than Charles Soludo, a Christian; and that Islamic Banking is practised all over Europe and America without Islamising the countries involved. Is sukuk and Islamic banking being forced on any citizen of this country and not a matter of choice of the individual? Why does CAN feel that it has the right to deny what is legitimate to Nigerian Muslims (interest free banking/transactions) and impose on them what is forbidden (taking of interest) according to their religion? What part of the constitutions is being violated and why can't they therefore sue the government and have the court overturn such decision (if true) instead of spreading hate and misinformation on the pages of newspaper to further divide the ppl? CAN should note that since the take off of Islamic Banking, at least one the banks JAIZ has recorded a significant patronage from Christians (as borrowers and depositors) attracted by its relative low cost of borrowing and high returns on investment. |
When the dust of ethnic hatred and bigotry has finally settled; many would gradually come back to their senses and realise that all the instruments and processes for addressing any grievance are already in place, as enshrined in or constitution, through the National Assembly, where every part of the country is adequately represented. No one can expect to cause constitutional changes under our democracy by working outside the system; that was Kanu's first fundamental mistake, he ignored his regional representatives and instead chose to take his case to the streets chanting senseless hatred that wouldn't take him anywhere. It is also fundamental for all parties to agree to go by the rules and accept the final collect will of the majority. Aggrieved parties with minority views must therefore be ready to work on their persuasive skills in order to convince the majority to accept their proposals - this is unfortunately where our brothers from the SE continue to fail i.e. its either their way or the highway. |
ELKHALIFAISIS:But some of im blodas like am like that; in fact you can even find them inside Sambisa Forest - abeg no vex, no be me talk am na one of una governors, Ikpeazu from Abia talk am o - e dey news headlines today. |
What nonsense under modern day Christianity - slowly turning from religion of God to religion of man. |
krendo:If you had cared to read carefully before rushing to conclusion, you would noticed that the key words used were Infrastructural Development and nothing more. |
GrandFinale2017:Simple truth is that Igbos have politically marginalised themselves with their own hands; how do they expect to be voted into power when they keep insulting the other tribes? They promote hate and tribal politics and have been reaping what they sowed - unfortunately, this botched agitation based on hate and blackmail has taken them more backwards than they currently realise. |
Alariwo2:They are the biggest beneficiaries of One Nigeria; their enclave is too small to contain them, so they been spreading themselves everywhere as economic refugees; yet they'll be quick to insult their hosts calling them parasites - however, the quit notice has opened their eyes to their true parasitic dependence on others; lol, who is now fooling who. |
Blizzy9ja:Then the advanced ones who allowed the backward ones to rule over them must be very very stupid indeed - what a pity. |
One Oscar Okoro must be providing them with useful information. |
bakila:LOL ![]() |
Noise makers, so they sang and danced in front of the UN building, no placards no message at all ; the question now is is who took any notice of them and how did that bring them any nearer to their goal; after their blodas have lost all credibility by uploading easily detectable false images and stories about their alleged mistreatment at home - they must think the international communities are equally gullible like them. |
pautex:She actually did make her position quite clear but you unfortunately failed to read between the lines. She said ppl do not respect the democratic system in place while not necessarily taking advantage of voting for those who would represent them and their interests. In other words IPOB should pursue its agitations through the democratic process of the national assembly and ensure their regional representatives there truly work towards their collective objective - I believe that was exactly also what President Buhari in his recent broadcast advised all Nigerians with genuine causes to do. |
So oyinbo sabi marginalisation and quota system? |
OjukwuWarBird:LOL, if it were up to me, I'd not hesitate to give you your Biafra because there is clearly no gain in being together with such dishonest and obnoxious co-travellers - believe me, majority of ordinary northerners feel that way; its only the political elites from all regions blocking it. |
sotall:Ok, another delusional adherent of 'Our Oyel Mentality' - go on and prove the so called parasitic relationship in 3D. |
