Obi was an opponent of his in the PDP primaries, and he went on to work for Tinubu in the elections.

Wike, make that kind of donation to Obi of all people for nothing? Hian. Haba now.
I'm not even saying he gave or did not give him but that money is not beyond what Wike can give out.

Not like it's even his personal money.

As in, Nyesom Ezebunwo Wike 😁😁😁
That guy was on a serious donation spree. I remember he also gave some states in the North hundreds of millions of Naira.

I actually left you to your folly yesterday. I assumed you must have taken few shots, and it could be affecting your ability to reason.

Where did you see it? You never answered

Google is your friend. Show me where he appointed his uncle into government.

I know i am not brilliant, but in my unintelligence, I can never believe Wike that was outdollared by Atiku in the primaries, will give Obi over $1 million with no political interest...

I will only believe it with proof, not "Trust me bro"

You suppose dey school us here, and not the other way round.
First, I'm not for or against the argument you guys are making but it is erroneous to say Wike can't give Obi 1m dollars because Atiku outspent him. That was 700m at the time

Wike gave Lagos State 300m, gave Aba traders 200m . Why is it now so difficult to believe he gave Obi 700m?

I am not on Twitter. I was discussing with someone when he said it.

Abeg share me a summary of what happened.

Was going to share a link to the tweet if I find it but twitter will not even allow you read beyond the original post if you're not logged in.

He said he had something to tell the president as regards the current hardship or so and wished he can meet him.

He was seriously cooked. People said he was a useful idiot.

Last year or so, with $1000, you would only buy 100 bags of cement at #4500. But today, with the same $1000, you get more than 200 bags at #6500.

Is there something I don’t understand?
How many bags will you buy with $1000 today. Seems like inflation is eventually catching up.

Lol enter Hill view Estate Rumuogba.

Or some of those chic places for GRA phase 2 and 3.

Or even Forces Avenue for Old GRA. If you go see.

Nevertheless, rent is bae here.
Even in those places, it's very rare. Max I've seen is 3.5m and even that is a fully furnished apartment.

You guys are stealing a living in that PH. Around that 2006-07, my salary was about 200k yet 2 bedroom wey I dey price for James Robertson in Surulere was about 600K per year and need 2yrs plus agreement caution, agency making it about 1.5M
Cost of rent in Lagos is absolutely ridiculous. Someone I know paid 3.6m for a 2 bedroom apartment and it's not like the house is in lekki. I wonder how much 2 bedroom apartments go for in places like Lekki and VI.

I can't think of anywhere in PH where two bedroom apartments cost 3.6m. Not even Harmony Estate

With 1.5m, you can rent a duplex here.

And there is a house for everybody. The beautiful thing is, the core of the town is not so big. None of that walking up by 4am to get to work before 8 that Lagos people do just because they want to save on rent.

Even if you live in Oyigbo and work in town, it won't take more than an hour using public transport.

I expect it will be between 3 or 4 months to get accommodation on your level

I can pay my two year rent from one month salary and still be left with a little change.

Anyone using 3-4 month salary to pay rent in PH is an unserious person.

Guy PH houses are too cheap.

When I was there last time, a 3bedroom flat...in a place like federal housing estate, woji was 1m annual rent. With all the steady power supply, serene environment and the house itself is top-notch, I shock. In surulere 1m will not get you a newly built miniflat...you can only get some decrepit apartments in that 1m range. Miniflat o.
Sometimes I wonder the kind of work you people do in Lagos to afford those ridiculous rents.

Abi una dey gather 3-4 month salary go pay rent

I knew that the amount will be very high if it is a commercial bank. How many people have 50m-200m to keep in the bank?. N50m can get you a Microfinance Bank license that will be returned to you after approval. The same N50m can get you a Super Agent PSS license which will equally be returned after approval.

I even doubt 100k will get you 12%. It will be graduated.
You don't get the point I was making. The FD rates were previously 3-6% and has now gone up to 12-15%.

I'm expecting considerable increase in mfs rates as well seeing as the underlying assets have all witnessed increased rates in recent times.

And yes, 100k will get you 12%. I don't want to post the evidence here so I don't get into trouble. You can confirm independently.

If Tinubu removes subsidy again this minute and brings it back by 3.30pm, GloriousGbola will find a way to justify both decisions.

He just can't accept that his candidate can ever be wrong on something, because it means he too is wrong.
Segedinho:
One thing about G.gbola is he tends to find a way to justify anythings BAT's dishes.

He applauded the ill-fated removal and was among the musketeers that tagged him "man with steel ball".

Even when people faulted the abrupt removal without ministers or analysis in place..he was defended

Now we are way worse when it comes to subsidy payment,he is blaming the situation while eulogising the bastard for "eating his shit"using adult IQ as yardstick. ...
It's the same story since the election. Tinubu does something, he will be praised. He reverses it, he will still be praised with plenty of excuses. Difficult to understand this logic.

i am not praising him for returning it - but i recognize that with the current state of things, he may have no other choice. unless we want to accelerate the riots everyne is warning about
You're actually making my point for me. The current state of things was known before he even removed it. We had debated it extensively on this thread but he removed it regardless. Everyone knew it was going to end this way.

The current state of things cannot now make him return it. He never cared about it ab initio.

The excuse that we had to cut cost because there was no money does not fly. They are now paying double of what he met when he removed it.

let him fully remove it so we can start paying n2000 / litre . is that what you want? because i see people complaining bitterly about the skyrocketing cost of living, and you are defintely among them.

so for the purpose of performative activism, you are calling for tinubu to completey erase this reinstated subsidy which will lead to even more inflation

make it make sense .
Or maybe there was no need to remove it in the first place. At least, till certain measures were put in place.

You can't on one hand praise him for taking the hard decision to remove it and still praise him for returning it.

Nice details.. How do you see the G37 2012 model ?
Reliable, fast, and good car. If you buy one in good condition, you wont regret it.

Would have preferred you get a 2013 though. Some of the issues in the earlier models like steering lock and gallery gasket were resolved in 2013.

If you decide to go ahead, ensure your windshield cowl is firm on the glass. Infiniti in their stupidity designed it to be taken off before you can remove the battery. Ensure you seal it properly everytime you remove it. Else, water ingress from there can damage your blower motor and BCM.
