Nobody dey get mercy for anyone here. For instance rent is due every 1st of the month, if you don't pay you start incurring late fees by 10th you lock the door and get the sherif to throw their luggage out Sharp sharp he don turn homeless sleeping on the street. Even by 18yrs Oyinbo parents dey collect rent from kid or they kick him out
Not like in Nigeria wey tenant go owe you 2021 rent in 2023 and go dey beg say him wife born or his kids school fees I read the bolded like thrice to be sure I wasn't misunderstanding you |

raumdeuter: If you put yourself in the shoes of the employer
You feel the employee is not delivering enough value or your company is not making enough money, will you keep the employee just so you are not cold?
Or will you sack?
Severance payment is at discretion of employer and most cases depends on how long you've stayed. You can't be under 1yr and expect 3 months payment I've been in a similar situation with a vehicle I was using for Bolt. The vehicle kept costing me more than 75% of what it was bringing monthly in repairs. I still allowed the guy drive it till he got something better then I sold off the car. If I was as cold as you guys in Texas, I would have withdrawn the vehicle and sold it the moment it stopped being profitable. |

raumdeuter: I work in Texas and used that law. It's like that in most places.
Company can just decide your job is not making enough profit for them or not adding value. You lose the job instantly This is strange. Una too cold for that side. Anyway, I doubt anyone will be willing to do all that for a thousand dollars in Texas. If he wants cheap labour that Nigeria offers, some job security will not be bad. If he terminates his employment, he pays him three month salary as pay off. Win-win for everybody. |

liveLongNprospa: Itsrm still think it's not possible? Apart from the fact that I trust politicians to frustrate it, the move makes no sense to me and it certainly cannot make sense to anybody in CBN. If they convert it to Naira and people use it to buy usdt and further drive up the price, what good will that be and what will they have achieved? Do you have any idea what will happen if just 10bn out of the 30bn in dom account starts chasing Usdt? PS: Punch is basing this on the opinion of one man who they didn't even mention. Was it not this same Punch who reported that Naira has rebounded? |

raumdeuter: What are the real issues that CBN can address in this instance I don't mean just the CBN. Both CBN and the FG. Instead of papering over the cracks, let's face why we are here in the first place. Until 2016, no one was hedging with the dollar like this. And you've answered it yourself here. Those are the real issues. We will export raw materials and use dollar to import finished products. The money these politicians are stealing alone could have revived the power sector. If we have steady power supply, one of the issues facing our manufacturing sector would have been eliminated. If we are able to manufacture and scale up our production, even if we still have to import, we will make money from exports as well. raumdeuter: The problem of rising dollar rate is simply because we have a deficit of trade
The other option is to use our dwindling earnings to continue defending the Naira. Which previous admin did so much and the country was going bankrupt
Until we fix the things that are causing the huge trade deficit na so we go dey unless you dey find person wey go dey lie to you |

User09: It's called Net open position in banking.
To be fair I dont think the banks have sold. That much liquidity and volume most likely would have a significant impact.
Except of course, the banks aren't distributing to the economy or are selling to themselves or some sort of concentrated parties Bold of anyone to think whoever they sell to will not in-turn hoard it. That's if they don't perform one incredible financial abracadabra that will see them "selling" without actually selling. |

BlueRayDick: I think for the parents it's an ego thing or having a resistance complex. Because I'm assuming the mother removing will be in the midst of the nurses who are equally women themselves; it's not as if a man will be there to look at her hair.
I don't know what the husband's problem his. As a father I will be more interested in getting my child treated ASAP than being concerned about whether my wife wears or removes her Niqab.
I guess the purpose of the video was to blackmail the nurses into bending the rules for them. Yes, you'll hear him threatening them towards the end of the video. Unfortunately for him, he's on his own. |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by Itsrm(m): 2:04pm On Feb 02, 2024 |
BlueRayDick: This happened at UCH Ibadan. A sick new born baby was brought in by her parents for treatment, the matrons on duty requested that the mother of the child who wore Niqab removes her Niqab so she can be with the child while they treat her. ( They explained this is necessary because babies have weak immune system and the Niqab can actually spread infection in a neonatal ward)
The mother refused to take off the Niqab and the father insisted on her not taking it off. The medical officers declined going ahead to treat the child in the clinic if the mother will not take off the Niqab.
The parents obviously believe they are being discriminated against while the medical officers insisted they are protecting the child and other children in the clinic from infection.
https://www.instagram.com/reel/C211K1uozPW/?igsh=eTcyNnVxdjF5NXRz What kind of stupidity is this? If that child's life was important to them, she would have removed it. Is there any Islamic injuction that even mandates women to wear niqab in the public? I like that the nurses stood their ground. Anywhere he likes let him post the video, nothing will happen. |

If you have followed the trend since Tinubu came on board, once they notice the dollar is spiralling out of control, CBN starts coming out with one press release and one circular or the other. Impatient people who bought high will panic sell to cut their losses. When it becomes obvious it's all hot air, naira will continue the journey downwards. Remember when they initially came on board and they said they were getting dollar from afrexim and will flood the market, people started selling and it fell below 800. It's just the same cycle all over again. I'm not sure anyone is pumping and dumping. |
