Rivers State has a long long way to go as the oil capital of Nigeria. The state needs real development plans and lesser political projects.

As Nigerians we are used to not seeing the right thing being done. Who says boko haram is not currently tackled with more decisive force than a few months ago? I think tackling these menace from all angles will show that our military is capable, they were not just called to action, it will all take a few weeks and all will be calm.
I will like to see the police also chase fleeing robbers and kidnappers to their hideouts, all this groups do is cause loss of lives.

Imagine that a certain group will attack a police station in America, kill policemen and steal their ammunition. They will be cleaned out in a week. That's the standard for security.

No sane sovereign state will allow existence of armed bandits in what every name they may want to be described to be operating freely. So the military should be called to do their job here professionally ensuring that casualties are in its barest minimum. Pirates will certainly be hiding amongst communities they dominate and also keeping their women and children with them.

The fact still remains:-
NO NIGERIAN PRESIDENT HAS PERFORMED BETTER THAN GEJ.
Who do want to call?

Obasanjo did not perform better than GEJ,
Yar'Adua did not perform better than GEJ,
Abdusalmi did not perform better than GEJ,
Abacha did not perform better,
Shonekan did not perform better,
IBB did not perform better,
Buhari did not perform better,
Shagari did not perform better,
Murtala did not perform better and
Gowon is the worst ruler we've ever had.

Mind you, GEJ's administration has spanned just two years. By the time he's through come 2019, he'll be the best president we've ever had.
By then he would've achieved:-
1. Constant electricity
2. Good federal roads
3. Working railway system
etc

Well then, here we are today! 2015

I met my boyfriend's dad for the first time last week and he introduced me as a 'friend' to his dad. There is nothing indecent about her dressing but hundreds of indecent minds all over the park. She wouldn't even attract my attention or i guess that of the OP if not for the reaction of the motor park crowd. She came in a car, perhaps she left quickly too. I don't think Buhari understand what he's up to. The above listed "wishes" are the primary responsibility of government and not foreigners. Curbing corruption is Buhari's job. Increased FDI will only happen if there is conducive sociopolitical and economic environment. Infrastructure, power etc are Buhari's responsibility. Buhari better return to Nigeria if he has no concrete request to make.

No country is an Island in today's world. When Nigerians loot the nation's treasury they mostly transfer those funds abroad. We need the commitment of foreign countries to check this trend more or less like every country looks out for drugs at their boarders.

When direct investment is possible, there will be some jobs created. Also support for these multinational investors will certainly come from Nigerian businesses, most of them new ones.
What our government will need to do is to create the environment that will make things possible. Our banking and finance system, so there will be investor confidence enough to invest in Power, infrastructure, manufacturing and trade.

Good idea, if they will eventually be awarded certificates of competence the same government will recognize in future.
The government should provide some part time basic classes on the side.
I am sure the state would not want to end up with illiterate craftsmen and traders.

But in any case it is a real situation in our country today "poor use of English". Reading, writing and comprehension are problems with many educated youths. To make matters worse, mobile phones came in. Chat language, abbreviations used everyday have only made our students indulge in more deviation from spellings. Very few read novels today.
I will not be surprised if our students write exams with all the things you find in the chat room. Its very possible this girl never thought of the pronunciation of "Corp member".
