The accident happened around 2am today tuesday 27th October. Three vehicles were involved.

All the occupants of the bus was said to have died except for a baby. The bus and the small car in the gutter were from crossriver states and they came to onitsha to buy stuffs; they were returning to Cross River state. According to eye witnesses, the big truck caused the accident.

It was said that the traders have started their journey back to Cross river states when they decided to follow that road (as they were told that robbers were robbing at upper iweka that night). Their bodies have been deposited at St Edwards Mortuary Obosi Anambra.

If Nigeria was a serious nation, by 2015 our interstate highways would be dual roads and well lit up at night. All commercial vehicles would be more than 85% road worthy and the operators/ drivers well trained and certified.
No one is liable for these deaths, as is. Tomorrow will bring another occurrence. Its like a normal thing in Nigeria that accidents must happen.

By sending this children to private universities. and reducing the budget of government funded universities. And reduce their intake by 1/4 or zero..

This way private universities grow and not the public universities. It is dangerous to grow public universities. It is more better to spend government money on private universities, that way,government dont have to worry about up keeping of the school.

Unizik budget for 2014 was 7,461,837,537. While Covenant university was around 3 billion for 2014. in 2015 is 5 billion

I have check the budget of private universities compare to public funded university.

I can see that there really is a problem in our education sector. Students need also to be taught the acceptable standards for everything. Including the use of english. I think its the best practice to edit a write up before publishing. I no longer know which errors are from poor education or oversight.

It has always been a crime to travel with very large amount of money whatever currency. However you are expected to declare what you have on you. But in Nigeria things had become "stupidly loose".

At least two of those guys are not dead when the pictures were taken, as seen in the first two photos.
People around there didn't call for ambulances, but stand around to take pics, and watch the victims bleed to death!

They finally get loaded into a pick up van like pieces of trash after they're dead. Such a pity.

What happened to humanity, for goodness sake?!

You don see am now. I always see this in Nigeria, and this could happen to anyone, even the richest person. In an emergency situation every victim needs help despite your status. We cannot stand around waiting for victims to die, or be the ones to determine they will not survive due to their injuries, the natural thing is to try to save lives till the last minute.
So sad for Nigeria. RIP to the victims.However, non of the persons standing around watching had any emergency numbers, I am sure or could call any ambulance. It is usually the responsibility of the special services to respond this scale of incident.

I am wondering what its for.
