FirstKing:Firstking, what exactly do you want, you say you no wan marry oyinbo, I give you easy solution, you still dey 'toast' another man wife . Who tell you say minute no be 'akata' too. CAREFUL o bros ![]() |
FirstKing:OK, so your "akata" girl has jilted you and you need a pure breed naija girl to marry. I will advise that you go for a pure undiluted, no preservative, no additive naija girl. I have a recommendation. You will go to my hometown, in naija. Jump on the next available flight to naija now now. Take a cab from Oshodi to Ibadan (Iwo road garage). From Iwo roadgarage, take a bus to Ilesha. When you get to Ilesha garage, take a cab to Iloro, ask for house with number NB22GGH/67990 Iloro street. When you get to the house go up stairs (be careful as the floor and stairs are wooden). Once upstairs, count 3 doors on your right and knock on the 4th door (you will see a 1999 calendar with C&S logo on the door, don't knock too hard, the door may not be that strong). Ask for Maria, she is about 19 years of age, uneducated, beautiful and she sells groundnut for her mum. She is undiluted proper naija girl. Tell her Iyeayo recommended her as your wife. Your wont regret marrying her. |

Thank you Nairalander for all your advices and support. My friend has decided to go on with the relationship, but it will interest you all to know that my friend's sister has changed in her attitude towards her sister. She no longer relate to her the way they use to and now she has even moved out of their father's home, her excuse? "To avoid humiliation", I really don't know what to say, because it is obvious that the old flame has not completely burnt out. The strange part of this story is that the bloke does not seem to be bothered about the whole situation, could it be that he is intentionally trying to take back his coin on my friend's elder sister considering that she was the unfaithful person that caused their break-up in their uni days![]() The whole situation is becoming messier as the day goes. I have decided I am staying out of it. Good luck to their family. Thanks again nairalanders. |

she is 34 years, not getting any younger |
KarmaMod:See KarmaMod, that is the point, I don't see anything wrong myself, but the first two responses I got (tatashe and lamis) both thot it isn't nice for her to go on. Do you think she can go ahead in your opinion ? |
Thanks Tatase and Lamis. I guess I have been a little selfish telling her to ahead. But the point is she has already discuss this with the sister and the sister said it was OK. Infact it was my friend's sister that caused the earlier break up out of 'agbere' (infidelity). My friend has been looking for a man to love her truly for the past 3 years. Now she found one but he is the wrong one ![]() Sooooooooo sad! |
A US based lady friend of mine is crazily in love with this bloke only to find out almost a year later that the guy was her elder sister's boyfriend back in the university days in Nigeria. This fact was revealed by the guy himself after about 8months into their relationship. The guy is also US based and my friend's elder sister is in Nigeria, still single. My friend told her sister and she said my friend should go for it, that there's no big deal. The guy does not mind too. But my friend is confused and thinking of ending the realtionship. I advised her to continue, afterall, the her sister was never married to the guy, but she said its a taboo in our culture. Abeg, nairalanders, what do you think? n.b.: please this is a true story, genuine contributions will go a long way to help me in advising my friend. |
I dey follow kemmi100 on this one. if you are illegal, u are finished ![]() |
Let us leave out people with legal papers and good job abroad, because people in this ctegory will prefer to stay abroad. I know of a couple. The husband resigned Shell in Nigeria to pick up a job with Santos here in Oz. He was a big boy in P/Hcourt, had a very good life. I asked "what in the Lord's name where u thinking to have left all that and come and start all over again in Oz". His explanation was that he left Nigeria because of lack of security. The Niger-delta situation is affecting not only the expatraites but also the well-to-do Nigerian who work for these oil companies. For those without legal papers, I guess u can't blame them much. Someone who has suffered looking for a job in naija for years will do anything to get out. I know of a parent that sold her car and small business to pay for his son's visa and ticket to the UK to the tune of about N500,000 for visiting visa. He is now illegal. The guy is now illegal, but are you advising that he should return to naija to go and tell his mum that 'abroad' is not good. Most illegal abroad migrants cannot go back home for the fear of what to go back home to do. Let us just continue to pray for ourselves, nobody know what exactly the future holds. If many illegals know what they know now, Iam sure they would have thot twice. |
Oyingbo market, people flow like water 24/7 ![]() |
Life is better abroad OOO! with the right visa, a good job (not necessarily white collar, gold mine technicians are very well paid). I left naija 3 years ago and I am enjoying my life here and don't intend to relocate back to naija anytime soon. ![]() |
My friends are visiting nigeria in a couple of months and they would like to know if there are any tourist attractions in nigeria apart from calabar and olumo rock.Yaba, Oyingbo, Balogun, Aba or Onitsha market, let them see where people they flow constantly like water ![]() |
wait and see the responses you will get for your silly posting, |
I stay here in Australia. the cheapest fare you can ever get for round trips to-fro naija from Oz is via Qatar airline (and its a 5 start airline) (go through travel agents, you won't get anything good if you try to do it yourself online). Also, pls don't go to oyinbo (white people) travel agents o!. Go through those cheap travel agents that deal with Asian and Middle Eastern students. Specify Qatar airline as your preferred. You can fly Aus-Singapore-Qatar-Lagos-Qatar-Singapore-Aus for as cheap as $2,300 AUD. Let me know if you need further guides. |
I miss naija because I miss all my friend wey we dey do 'gbeborun' (gossiping) together! |
Ma friend! life is sweet abroad if you have the right papers and a good job o! ![]() But that not said, the truth is most of us prefer to stay abroad because of the fear of the unknown and uncertainty of what we will do if we return to naija. Many left naija because of unfavourable situations and they can't imagine going back to that life stlye. True there is better quality of life here, but men there is no place like home. I miss the food and the crazy life in naija. Also some of ma friends that travelled home recently didn't have good stories to tell (bad roads, security etc), many vowed no to go back in a long while. But for me sha, I want to return home some day, some year, maybe when I am sure of what I will do. ![]() |
Also, please note that bankers are not as rich as people see them. They have tendency to live flamboyantly, expensive clothes, expensive cars etc but inside they are not as rich as you see them. I'm very sure of this.Ife-eco-06, abeg explain this statement further, as I am dreaming of leaving my current job overseas to join the banking sector in Nigeria. Do you mean the banking career is not as good as it sounds ? |
How good is that!

. Who tell you say minute no be 'akata' too. CAREFUL o bros
