Romance / Re: How A Lady I Was Supposed To Dump Skillfully Dumped Me by Iyke1998(m): 11:07pm On Aug 15, 2015
Aystarz:

Just reminds me of this chinese video aimed at reducing the alarming divorce rates in China which is a ridiculous 700k per year. A man passes divorce papers to his wife, and the wife, shattered and broken, promises to sign the papers under the condition that her man hugs her at certain locations picked by her. The man obliged. On their first pre-divorce date, she chooses the location, where the man proposed to her and they hugged. The second day sees them hugging at the park where they had their wedding; they hugged each other and went their ways. On the third day, it was at the restaurant where the man, then mr proud loverboi, proposed to her. My guy remembered the spot with fond memories, and as he tried to hug her, the woman just sat back, and at that instant moment, picked up her bag walked away. The man, realising how big a fool he had been, all along, begged if she could meet with him the following day, but got no response from his wife. Karma is an unforgiving lass. Better believe that.

No, because there would be no me to think of anything, much less marriage.

However, now I exist, I would never curse myself like you have done, saying your marriage wouldn't be enjoyable in the absence of your mother. That would mean the day you lose your mother, your marriage would become painful. That is self-inflicted curse! You are on your own. I am sorry but that is the implication of your submission.

Let me ask you, "Would you have ever thought of marriage if your father didn't sleep with your mother?"

Don't you think your father's presence is also needed for you to enjoy marriage, since if he hadn't slept with your mother, there wouldn't have been you?

What do you think?

There is a difference if my mum died a natural death or she died before my wedding day..
But in this case,I had the opportunity of saving her LIFE,but I allowed here drown in the water.....

Dis was the person that brought me into to world..

Music/Radio / What I Hate About Nigeria Music Videos. by Iyke1998(m): 7:30pm On Aug 10, 2015
Here are what I hate most about Nigerian music videos.

1) Most of the videos have no theme or concept/storyline at all. It’s like just watching people mime their songs to a camera.

2) A word of advice to the newer artists: TAKE OFF THE
SUNGLASSES!!! You are new. We need to see your face. Not only that but sunglasses are made for outdoors. There is no sun indoors. It just looks plain silly.

3) Women with guts are not supposed to wear mid-drifts. It’s offensive to my eyes. In fact it is offensive to my entire being.

4) Your whole “crew”, your mother, father, brothers and sisters don’t need to be in all your videos. Not everybody has a face meant for TV.

5) The shining effect that makes “bling bling” look like it’s
actually that shiny just proves that it’s not real.

6) Zooming into womens behinds and bosom area is just
disgusting.

7) Stop making us watch the same video over and over again: ie Come up with something other than girls shaking behinds, guys flashing bling and alcohol and displays of cars.

cool What is this new trend of not using Nigerian girls in videos?I’ve seen a lot of South African and Latino girls in Nigerian videos lately. Are there no more women in Nigeria? It’s like they are saying Nigerian women, particularly dark skinned ladies aren’t good enough. If we don’t appreciate ourselves it’s no wonder no one else does.

9) The scenes with the expensive alcohol and fake dollars on the table is over played and looks really lame.

10)What is this nonsense trend of dancing with a red coloured plastic cup of vodka in these music videos? Olamide, Iceprince and co, stop that nonsense jare.

11)If you want to sing, just go straight to the point and disappear so we could listen to the next nonsense. Don’t spend the first two minutes of your song asking us stupid questions like,“Yo yo yeah, you know how we do it? you know I’m back again?.”
([b]Yo, I dont know how you do it and you never left. I watched one of your stupid songs yesterday .

12). Why does KC dresses like a Behind spare parts dealer. Dude be looking like a christmas tree. I like his new ride though. Let’s hope he doesn’t turn up in a golden suit one of these days.

13). “The way she dey wind her waist for the club dey make me go gaga. I never see that kind of yansh before”
So if these musicians don’t add these line to their lyrics, the song will be not be sweet eh??

14). Psquare and Iceprince need to stop dressing like they are going out for Interhouse Sports competition. Calm down with the astronaut clothes and oversized shoes.

15). Video vixens need to stop acting like an earthworm that emerged from a salt solution pool. All that unnecessary ‘touchtouch’ and ‘curlcurl’ is not sexy at all. We are okay with unrealistic scenes like moving around the beach on high heels.

(16). What’s the meaning of “aye yeh yeh?” No subs intended.

LoL....I should stop here before they arrest me. You can add yours...

I am scared that i may join bad guys. I am scared that i may divorce my wife. I am scared that i may indulge in drugs just like what goes on in the entertainment industry. I am scared that i may forget my family background. I am scared that i may be a disgrace to my family. I am scared that i may indulge in a life of fornication. Music/Radio / Re: Discussing The Issue Of Half Unclad Girls In Videos. by Iyke1998(m): 12:24pm On Aug 10, 2015
Jaxera:
Well, everyone wants to make their music videos more endearing and interesting to watch and so they feel including half unclad ladies in their videos is the best.

The issue at hand is actually one of the negative influence of western culture, but just like religion, when we Nigerians copy foreign content, we tend to over do it.

In the US and the UK, these kind of videos are mostly rampant in hip hop songs, and some RnB, but here in Nigeria, every song, despite the genre, always has indecently dressed video vixens.

I would also blame this on the lack of creativity on the part video directors. Most of them lack imagination and when the direct this videos, all they can think of is to input girls shaking their booties and showcasing their breasts.

Also, with the kind of songs released these days, you wouldn't expect much from the videos.
When all someone sings about is "nyash" and "boobs" you should expect exactly that from the video.

In addition to all this, the video vixens themselves also make themselves available. These girls look at it as an easy way to make money so they also utilize any opportunity they have to feature in this videos.

The bulk of the problem lies with the video directors. Because they are the ones that direct these videos. The NBC should orientate them on this issue, really. It's shouldn't just be about banning videos, randomly.

There are few video directors that I have come to like and admire their directing because they tend to think outside the box and they bring something new to the plate.
Kemi Adetiba for instance. You won't see ladies shaking their asses on her videos.

We shouldn't also leave out one honest fact, which is that most of these videos have and incredibly high patronage by we the viewers.
A lot of people, especially guys, love to feed their eyes with stuff like this. Guys love to see ladies "assets". It entices and excites us. So these artists always capitalize on that, hence them always including these ladies in their videos.

True talk!!!!

Nigeria Artistes always want to do what the whites does not minding the bad impact it will bring into minds of the young ones(after all they are after their money)

I wonder what NBC does as a commission..
Music/Radio / Re: Discussing The Issue Of Half Unclad Girls In Videos. by Iyke1998(m): 12:21pm On Aug 10, 2015
ByfireByfire:

And moreover such unclothedness displays and indecent dressing is the number one promoter of RAPE. Yet these ladies are happy with it yet they complain about rape.

I'll only start taking individuals and government seriously in their anti-rape crusade when they begin to address the "root" cause of rape which is indecent female exposures in movies, music videos and in real life.

True talk....

This really promotes rape!!!
Music/Radio / Discussing The Issue Of Half Unclad Girls In Videos. by Iyke1998(m): 10:46am On Aug 10, 2015
Its is know that There is always display of semi nude girls in Almost 80% of Nigeria Music videos(Hip-Hop).

Whereby girls display their boobs, ass and also dance in a seductive manner...

You can't watch a Nigerian music video without seeing all this display.
Its now a norm for all musicians(also upcoming artistes) to always apply this..

And most fans encourages them for all this..

What message do they pass to the viewers?
Isn't this promoting indecent dressing?
Does this not promote prostitution?
Does this not promote waywardness
Do the do these so as to get more views or is there a secret reason behind this?
