Here are what I hate most about Nigerian music videos. 1) Most of the videos have no theme or concept/storyline at all. It’s like just watching people mime their songs to a camera. 2) A word of advice to the newer artists: TAKE OFF THE SUNGLASSES!!! You are new. We need to see your face. Not only that but sunglasses are made for outdoors. There is no sun indoors. It just looks plain silly. 3) Women with guts are not supposed to wear mid-drifts. It’s offensive to my eyes. In fact it is offensive to my entire being. 4) Your whole “crew”, your mother, father, brothers and sisters don’t need to be in all your videos. Not everybody has a face meant for TV. 5) The shining effect that makes “bling bling” look like it’s actually that shiny just proves that it’s not real. 6) Zooming into womens behinds and bosom area is just disgusting. 7) Stop making us watch the same video over and over again: ie Come up with something other than girls shaking behinds, guys flashing bling and alcohol and displays of cars. What is this new trend of not using Nigerian girls in videos?I’ve seen a lot of South African and Latino girls in Nigerian videos lately. Are there no more women in Nigeria? It’s like they are saying Nigerian women, particularly dark skinned ladies aren’t good enough. If we don’t appreciate ourselves it’s no wonder no one else does.9) The scenes with the expensive alcohol and fake dollars on the table is over played and looks really lame. 10)What is this nonsense trend of dancing with a red coloured plastic cup of vodka in these music videos? Olamide, Iceprince and co, stop that nonsense jare. 11)If you want to sing, just go straight to the point and disappear so we could listen to the next nonsense. Don’t spend the first two minutes of your song asking us stupid questions like,“Yo yo yeah, you know how we do it? you know I’m back again?.” ([b]Yo, I dont know how you do it and you never left. I watched one of your stupid songs yesterday . 12). Why does KC dresses like a Behind spare parts dealer. Dude be looking like a christmas tree. I like his new ride though. Let’s hope he doesn’t turn up in a golden suit one of these days. 13). “The way she dey wind her waist for the club dey make me go gaga. I never see that kind of yansh before” So if these musicians don’t add these line to their lyrics, the song will be not be sweet eh?? 14). Psquare and Iceprince need to stop dressing like they are going out for Interhouse Sports competition. Calm down with the astronaut clothes and oversized shoes. 15). Video vixens need to stop acting like an earthworm that emerged from a salt solution pool. All that unnecessary ‘touchtouch’ and ‘curlcurl’ is not sexy at all. We are okay with unrealistic scenes like moving around the beach on high heels. (16). What’s the meaning of “aye yeh yeh?” No subs intended. LoL....I should stop here before they arrest me. You can add yours... |
jaymejate:Lol....We are all scared of that.. |

Jaxera:True talk!!!! Nigeria Artistes always want to do what the whites does not minding the bad impact it will bring into minds of the young ones(after all they are after their money) I wonder what NBC does as a commission.. |
ByfireByfire:True talk.... This really promotes rape!!! |
Its is know that There is always display of semi nude girls in Almost 80% of Nigeria Music videos(Hip-Hop). Whereby girls display their boobs, ass and also dance in a seductive manner... You can't watch a Nigerian music video without seeing all this display. Its now a norm for all musicians(also upcoming artistes) to always apply this.. And most fans encourages them for all this.. What message do they pass to the viewers? Isn't this promoting indecent dressing? Does this not promote prostitution? Does this not promote waywardness Do the do these so as to get more views or is there a secret reason behind this? Cc:lalasticlala |
I hope to see massive success rather than failure... Cos this WAEC guys can fail people so that the would come next year... #Corruption lol |
Most of these celebrities then turned to devils incarnate and bad influence to Nigerian youths.. |
. This is nothing new na..An average Nigerian man gets robbed almost on daily basis.. So if they robbed Jaywon and his crew,it shouldn't be a big deal.... Just two shows will recover everything. . |
nicerod:Its a HE*lol* |
A former Special Assistant to ex-President Goodluck Jonathan on New Media, Reno Omokri, has expressed displeasure over crackdown on “baby factories” in the country, saying the practice should be allowed by government. Mr. Omokri, the founder of the Mind of Christ Christian Centre in California, said calling the practice baby factory is stigmatization as it should be called surrogate motherhood. “Every civilized nation accepts and promotes this practice as a humane option for childless couples,” he said an opinion article sent to PREMIUM TIMES Sunday. Mr. Omokri, a pastor, wondered why Nigeria did not legalize a practice that brings succour to childless couple. “I have been appalled reading about the raids on so called ‘Baby Factories’ in the media lately. These raids are a throwback to the Salem Witch Trials and I cannot believe that in Nigeria of the 21st Century we are stigmatizing what is an acceptable world wide culture that has brought hope to childless couples all over the world,’ he said in the article. The former presidential aide continued, “For the avoidance of doubt, these women are surrogate mothers who have children for childless couples. Every civilized nation accepts and promotes this practice as a humane option for childless couples. “The main reason many childless couples prefer a surrogate mother is because they want to know about the family history and genetics of the mother of their unborn child. “In many cases, when you adopt a child without knowing who the parents are and there arises a need in future for a blood transfusion or an organ donor, many adoptive parents get stuck. Other medical issues like cancer, or behavioral issues like autism and ADD/ADHD are better diagnosed and treated if you have family history, which is not possible with anonymous adoptions. So, the idea of surrogate motherhood fills this gap. “In Europe and the Americas as well as in Asia, surrogate mothers are well sought after and advertisements are placed in bus stations, newspapers, on the underground as well as on the Internet seeking out such women. I have included one such advert in this piece. “Tens of thousands of surrogate children are born each year in the Americas and even more in Europe. Anyone who has ever experienced childlessness either directly or indirectly through a relative, extended family or friend is likely to appreciate the role surrogate mothers play in bringing succor to such families. To ostracize them and tag them ‘Baby Factories’ is most unfortunate indeed.” Source:http://www.premiumtimesng.com/news/headlines/188066-reno-omokri-breaks-silence-wants-baby-factories-allowed.html |
