However, now I exist, I would never curse myself like you have done, saying your marriage wouldn't be enjoyable in the absence of your mother. That would mean the day you lose your mother, your marriage would become painful. That is self-inflicted curse! You are on your own. I am sorry but that is the implication of your submission.

Well, everyone wants to make their music videos more endearing and interesting to watch and so they feel including half unclad ladies in their videos is the best.

The issue at hand is actually one of the negative influence of western culture, but just like religion, when we Nigerians copy foreign content, we tend to over do it.

In the US and the UK, these kind of videos are mostly rampant in hip hop songs, and some RnB, but here in Nigeria, every song, despite the genre, always has indecently dressed video vixens.

I would also blame this on the lack of creativity on the part video directors. Most of them lack imagination and when the direct this videos, all they can think of is to input girls shaking their booties and showcasing their breasts.

Also, with the kind of songs released these days, you wouldn't expect much from the videos.
When all someone sings about is "nyash" and "boobs" you should expect exactly that from the video.

In addition to all this, the video vixens themselves also make themselves available. These girls look at it as an easy way to make money so they also utilize any opportunity they have to feature in this videos.

The bulk of the problem lies with the video directors. Because they are the ones that direct these videos. The NBC should orientate them on this issue, really. It's shouldn't just be about banning videos, randomly.

There are few video directors that I have come to like and admire their directing because they tend to think outside the box and they bring something new to the plate.
Kemi Adetiba for instance. You won't see ladies shaking their asses on her videos.

We shouldn't also leave out one honest fact, which is that most of these videos have and incredibly high patronage by we the viewers.
A lot of people, especially guys, love to feed their eyes with stuff like this. Guys love to see ladies "assets". It entices and excites us. So these artists always capitalize on that, hence them always including these ladies in their videos.

And moreover such unclothedness displays and indecent dressing is the number one promoter of RAPE. Yet these ladies are happy with it yet they complain about rape.

I'll only start taking individuals and government seriously in their anti-rape crusade when they begin to address the "root" cause of rape which is indecent female exposures in movies, music videos and in real life.
