jayooh: if you organised any presentation or in - house training for your mechanics and technicians that counts as a cpd, if you attended any in - house trainings and presentation in your company/workshop that also counts as cpd, all the books journals or online crash courses you viewed to help solve some auto - mechanical or electrical problems in your workshop can also count as a cpd. I used same for mine as I was a Maintenance Engineer. in fact if you practiced engineering cpd is around you every just think. #my1kobo sha. 1 Like |

einsteino: Your bank document is a third party document, that served for one of my employment histories in absence of a tax certificate but if you have a pension certificate that would be perfect. Though am speaking from experience with EA and this was clearly stated in the MSA booklet. Ensure you digest the guidelines laid down by your assessing body. I can't authoritatively answer the question on state board of internal revenue as I didn't ply that route, someone with similar experience could throw some light soon. All the best. 2 Likes 1 Share |

iykedancastro: As a follow up to the above post I got my assessment report yesterday. positive assessment as an Engineering technologist with 4 years and a month experience (mixed feelings but I believe it's for the best) special thanks to jamson for helping with review of my cdr, thanks to bnimz, mctowel01, ozymigrant, zanyzara et al for the contributions and I appreciate all that shared their knowledge to the success of this forum so far, God bless. I have submitted an eoi for 189 with 60pts and nominated nsw for 190. Will retake English test soonest in quest for an extra 10pts would appreciate any pointer on reliable PTE-A test centers around sydney . I also wish to enquire from the house if it is best to use a single eoi for 189 and 190 or to use different eoi. finally although EA assessment is on a case by case basis please future applicants should note the clause on skill being payed at salaried rate, my assessor pulled that on on me but my colleague on same salary scale wasn't affected, if possible by all means avoid assessing relevant skill unless your remuneration is in alignment with industry standard (please don't ask me about industry standard pay for engineers in nigeria because i don't know). cheers!!! 4 Likes |

Folatem:Thanks, I will do just that. OzyMigrant: I believe a lot depends on your app package and the assessor. Thanks for the insight. To All Am just curious about the possibility of engineering technologist remaining on sol come July wouldn't want to go with that and it then gets removed because the ceiling has already been reached this year. In a Delima!!! |

mctowel01: Thanks for the tip bro, but i read that the ceiling for technologist has been exceeded for this year plus it is flagged too. Technologist would assure me an additional 5 points but i can only submit EOI for 190 pending policy change come july. |

Engineers in the house, I got this feedback from EA this morning and am left confused on the pros and cons of the options and how to proceed. "As stated on page 29 of the Migration Skills Assessment Booklet, Work Experience needs to be "paid at the market or salaried rate for Engineering professional" your salary for both employments is well below the market rate for a Professional Engineer in Nigeria. You therefore have two options: 1) You can be assessed as a Professional Mechanical Engineer if you provide 2 new Career Episodes based on work conducted during your academic studies. In this case, none of your work experience can be recognised as Relevant Skilled Employment. Or, 2) You can be assessed as an Engineering Technologist based on the current submission. In this case your work experience can be recognised subject to the requested documents being provided. Please state your preference. Please also note that as of the 27th of February 2017, Engineers Australia allows only one opportunity to address any shortcomings in applications. Therefore, your application will be finalised based on the information and/or documents provided in the next submission." I was asked to provide tax certificate which I do not have although I already provided my pension statement. I don't know if to be mad at, myself or the so called company I worked for. |

CJFLEX: You can claim 3 years experience if your job role aligns with that stipulated on ANZSCO code for Mech. I understand your situation as am a Mech Engr too awaiting assessment result, but like Bnimz advised, do what you can and be optimistic that the economy will deem mechanical a required occupation come July. |

PurpleG: I don't know about the veracity of the above timeline, I applied to unimelb early July followed up with a mail and got admission after 5 weeks or so for semester 1 2017 though am not enrolling there, got response from unsw within 28hrs. I took my time to read/scan through this thread and that of PR and in line now and due to comment. Below is my time line. Lodged visa app on 27/10/16, front loaded medical on 26/10/16. Direct grant 04/11/16. Documents: CTC(yellow card, birth certificate, transcript, degree certificate, WAEC, Sponsorship letter/award letter) Original scan of employment letter, recommendation letter from employer, passport data page, statement of purpose(around 350 words) and eCOE. Finally prayers. Please note, I only came across thiS page after my application, was actually preparing to arrange documents for PR App. I wish us success in our sojourn. Daalu. 2 Likes |

olutowo: my brother these fonts will do you little to no good, help the room members understand your text by using normal format, and like some one pointed out earlier you need to work on that SOP, am not a supervisor or graduate admission administrator but I believe you can produce better. *check the grammar, composition and be more creative. The essence is to engage them. I wish us all luck . olutowo: my brother these fonts will do you little to no good, help the room members understand your text by using normal format, and like some one pointed out earlier you need to work on that SOP, am not a supervisor or graduate admission administrator but I believe you can produce better. *check the grammar, composition and be more creative.
