I declare the blessing of Prov. 31 over myself and my womb, that the day will come when my husband and my children will rise up and call me blessed.


I declare according to Your promise in Exodus 23:26 that because I love you and serve You and worship You, O God, You will bless my provision; you will take sickness away from me and I will NOT suffer miscarriage/child loss or be barren. I will fulfill the number of my days, in Jesus name.


Father, I remind You of Your promise in Malachi chapter 3. Lord, You have promised to rebuke the devourer for my sake. U shall never share this type of ill news again in Jesus' name.
We're there any investigations carried out as to ascertain d possible cause? Was it ur 1st pregnancy/ loss? Do u have a rhesus negative blood group?
Affliction shall never arise again and God shall duly bless u again sooner than u expect.

Please the best options for your DW now is getting a Cerclage(between 12-14 weeks) supported with progesterone or tocolytics. Please also make sure she drastically reduces her activities and opt for some sort of bedrest. It works as I can testify after 2 previous 4-5months losses.
The good Lord will keep this one and we shall rejoice with you in Jesus name. Amen!

You can take all the supplements, pregnacare doesn't contain Calcium, but it contains the RDA of folic acid 400mcg. Am guessing your Dh bought d 5mg folic acid?
I don't know if 5.4mg of folic acid is considered as "toxic" overdose, seeing that most doctors prescribe d 5mg dose. I am thinking d body takes what it needs and d excess is excreted .
Also more folic acid is needed if a woman is overweight!
When my pcv was low my doctor prescribed 5mg 2x daily.
A pregnant woman needs about 1000mg of calcium daily, but don't take d same time as ur other supplements.
Your doctor is always in the best position to advice appropriately

As per softening stool issue, I think fruits and vegetables work better than water. Also eat light and soft meals no bread too.
For me vegetable prepared fresh every other day, boiled eggs and I also drink poroporo (guinea corn stalk infusion )(bought from those women selling agbo stuffs) , Folic acid ,vit c and astymin has boosted my pcv.

Ingredients :
Chicken breast(chopped to bite size pieces and season lightly )
Prawns (season lightly)
Carrot (sliced in circles)
Bell pepper (chop into cubes)
Fresh pepper (sliced)
Spring onions( the bulb part chopped in chunks, plus a little green part. Then remaining green part for garnish)
Green beans
Cornstarch
Soy sauce
Oyster sauce
Sesame oil
Vegetable oil
Garlic (chopped)
Ginger (grated)
Honey
Salt
(I usually Season all chopped veggies with for a while,preferably refrigerated overnight . I also do for fried rice veggies, tastes much better.)

Can't give exact measurements, I usually just eyeball d quantities.
1. Heat up a little vegetable oil in pan, fry the chicken pieces stirring constantly for about 5mins, remove & keep aside.
Also fry prawns for about 5mins and keep aside too.
Add a little more oil in pan if need be, then lightly fry d chopped onions, garlic and ginger.
2. Add the carrot and fresh pepper , keep stirring on low heat for 2-3 mins
3. Scoop about I heaped tablespoon of cornflour into about 300ml water (depends on how thick or runny u want the sauce)
Mix well and pour into the pan on fire.
4. When it starts bubbling, add the bell peppers and green beans.
Then return the chicken and prawns back to the pan.
5. Add about 2 tablespoon each of the soy sauce, oyster sauce, sesame oil & honey, stir & Cook for abt 1 min, taste and adjust seasoning with little salt if need be.
Add some of the sliced green onions just b4 u remove from fire.
And your homemade Chinese sauce is ready.
Great with rice too or even yam or potatoes.

Make e no be like say I dey vex .
Spaghetti with chicken & prawn sauce.
Accountant general, Abeg 6pm too early, some of us just Dey wake-up!

There is no reason a woman should die during childbirth. Most maternal mortalities are avoidable, but for the carelessness of our medical personnels, the numbers keep at an heartbreaking rate.

Friends, colleagues and family members have taken to social media to demand for justice for one Chisom Anekwe who passed on at Magodo Specialist Hospital during childbirth.

They are demanding that the hospital be investigated and the federal government ensures that incidents like this do not occur again.

Here’s her story:

This is Chisom Anekwe (nee Okereke), a young, vivacious, graceful, kind-hearted and intelligent woman who had devoted her life to helping indigent kids and giving their lives a meaning. She’s an alumna of LEAP Africa.

Two weeks ago, precisely April 30th 2017, Chisom died under questionable circumstances at Magodo Specialist Hospital while trying to birth her third offspring. We believe strongly that the authorities need to ensure that lives are taken sacred in hospitals like Magodo Specialist Hospital where such avoidable deaths are recorded.

Chisom was admitted in the hospital four days before she got into labour. She already had two daughters birthed in the same hospital and was there to birth her third child, a son. While at the hospital, no one attended to her when she needed the help to be delivered of the long awaited baby. She was left for hours in labour. This happened until her husband created a scene, which eventually caused the doctors to go to her ward and on inspection they found out that the baby had struggled and died.

The husband at this point requested for a CS which he paid for and even signed the consent form presented by the hospital. He was then tricked out of the room to go prepare for blood transfusion and on getting back, he found out that the doctors had induced the wife and delivered the dead baby without operation not minding that the CS procedure had been paid for. This was also without his consent.

During the process of delivering the baby, the placenta got ruptured and the doctors left her like that, no further attendance still. Shortly after, the husband noticed she was swelling up in her stomach area and called the attention of the doctors who said they were getting ready for a surgery, a preparation that took longer than usual.

After waiting in vain for the surgical team, the frustrated husband went furiously to the reception to demand why they were wasting time only to discover the doctor had sneaked out of the hospital under funny pretences. At this point he got other hospital staff to wheel her out of the hospital and in that process Chisom died!

This is the story of most young women who die while giving birth as a result of the callousness, ignorance and carelessness of inexperienced doctors.

In this era, we shouldn’t be talking about Child and Maternal Mortality especially when it can be avoided. This could have been avoided but it wasn’t and now Chisom Jane Anekwe is a victim and has been added to the statistics.

We demand:

1. That Magodo Specialist Hospital, Shangisha, Lagos, be investigated for their actions and the subsequent death of Chisom.

2. That both the Nigerian Medical Association NMA and the Medical and Dentist Council of Nigeria, MDCN ensure that supposed Specialist Hospitals who claim to have a resident Gynecologist are verified.

3. That there be justice for Chisom!

It could be false labor, or it could also be d real deal (hope ur bags are packed?)
Did you eat/drink anything that u suspect may have triggered the contractions? Or probably overworked or stood for too long?
Try drinking a lot of water and lay on your left side to see if there will be any relief. It is well with you and your Lo

Onegai, this is d sour practice in most, if not all of our govt hospitals today.
From my personal experience in UBTH, I'll put 60% blame on d government, 38% on the hospital management /CMDs & 2% on the poor doctors & nurses made to work in horrible conditions!
I guess d state of staff/patient corruption is not as bad as LUTH,as I haven't witnessed any greasing of palms here , but if u interact with d staffs, you'll pity them. How would nurses function adequately when they are just 3 of them on night duty in a maternity ward that has 42 beds or a single doctor(mostly house officer o!) to be on call during weekends and fed once daily?
The CMD ,who was once a young doctor and should understand better, makes life worse for them. Imagine the UBTH cmd taking nurses to industrial court, bcoz they demanded their dues and threatened to go on strike.
Sometimes these doctors are nothing short of miracle workers, considering what's available to them, they really out do themselves, if they want to.
... On the patient aspect, would attribute most of it to ignorance, then poverty. How would u explain a woman, who registerd for antenatal with 30k, but instead chose to go to a chemist when she didn't feel fetal kicks for a whole day, the chemist guy used stethoscope to check and told her all was well, it was when she didn't feel it d next day she decided to go to d hospital, then it was too late! Or is it the one dat was rushed in from another hospital to UBTH bleeding, with a baby stuck in her arguing with doctors that she doesn't want cs ooo! She can deliver vaginally, they knocked her out and performed the surgery only to bring out an almost 8kg baby and her uterus had ruptured. This same woman was still refusing medication afterwards cos of hospital bill.
If only our people were better informed, if only healthcare was more affordable, we would make the right choices!
