Good morning mama's is there any pregnant mama here that took lipton tea while/when pregnant. Becos that's the only tea that can pass through my throat 4 now. Though I do add a lot of milk to it with little sugar. Pls I need advice from mama's who has taken it b4. Edd june.

Hello teamie, it is very safe to take limited quantities of Lipton tea (black tea) it contains 45-55 mg of caffeine per serving.
On the other hand, decaffeinated black tea contains 2-5 mg of caffeine(choose this).
It is advised that pregnant women do not take over 200mg of caffeine during pregnancy, because the fetus and even breastfeeding babies can't eliminate excess caffeine from their system.
Adding a lot of milk to it is a plus. But don't take the tea the same time u take ur prenatal vitamins, as it reduces /blocks the absorption of iron.
It will interest you to know that coke ,Pepsi, chocolate, energy drinks and a few other food/drinks contain more caffeine.

2yrs ago My hubby was given follistim and gonal -f. ie fsh and Hcg 4 abt 6wks .
D doctor is at Ponders end Clinic, Victory lane off New Lagos Road close to new benin market. Dr *****.He's very good but the good/bad with him is that he wants to help you save money, which sometimes is detrimental.Through internet research we found out He didn't complete the dose for my Dh hence it was low sperm count (though I got pregnant with it,but Miscarried. I read online that it can be continued for up to six months but he discourage us saying treatment would be too expensive in hundreds of thousands (6 weeks was close to 100k)and instead was placed on addyzoa and enhanz for 4/5mths but we discovered the low count didn't shift at all, though his hormones are balanced now. From SFA and hormonal profile 3mnths ago,we asked to start the fsh and hcg protocol again,but he refused and advised IVF.So we decided to self prescribe,bought the injections and I was even the one giving it to him because we didn't have prescription to go to any nurse.We bought 15 vials of fsh (follitropin 75iu) @4500 each … then 3 vials of hcg (IVF -C @.2500 each.
Fsh 3x a week
Hcg 1x in 2weeks.
I will advice you do your own proper research online.HCG is said to reverse testicular shrinkage.Even after my husband took the 1st doses 2yrs back, the size of his testicles increased .

A baby being head down doesn't mean he/she is engaged, it's probably just a comfortable position at that moment, baby still has a loooot of room to switch positions as he likes, till the place is to tight for changing positions, which is like 3+ months away.
Baby engages when he drops lower down in d cervix ,like d head is plugged in ur cervix.
EDD changes so much later on in pregnancy because fetal measurements may not be 100% accurate depending on the skill of the sonographer. However if u know ur lmp, then work with that.
A few days ago I had my anomaly scan done by a doctor who specializes in maternal and fetal medicine , I got the most accurate EDD (same as lmp) cos of his specialty I guess. He asked my lmp i told him and he said I wasn't correct maybe I forgot because my baby measured 1 week different , that was wen I now told him I had a 35 day cycle and not 28 days, so I ovulate a week later, he now said "u see? " Lol.

Mama's, please whether we are 10,20,30 or 40 weeks pregnant, I use God beg us, let's be sensitive to all that is happening in our precious state.
Pregnancy is not a try and error or cut & nail matter.
If you feel your doctor isn't listening or the hospital isn't dealing with your case reasonably at any point in time, please I beg u in God's name, please get a second opinion, ask for reviews from as much people as you can, come ask mama's here on the thread if anyone has an opinion am sure they'll share, then google, google! I search a lot of google, type the question in different ways and search multiple times to get an answer, don't read the first page of answers alone, check in as many pages as possible, u might likely get an answer!
It is both sad and disheartening the way our healthcare system works in this our wonderful country , I am deeply hurt for how Roseey0's case was mismanaged, it was pure insensitive and careless abi wicked sef.
But as the Bible tells us; the kingdom suffereth violence and "violent taketh" by force!
We have to take our health into our hands, since our system suffereth negligence, I am not saying stay home and treat ur self o,your case might look like someone else's but may be different ,so don't conclude on ur own, all I am saying research about any concerns and discuss with your healthcare provider, ask them questions, ask and ask, if they are not responsive or proactive, please follow your instincts [most importantly pray to God for the spirit of discernment and for him to help ur choices. .

Then secondly we have been too lax about prayers in the thread, let us not underestimate the power of prayers!
Though some don't believe it, our challenges "if any" may not require medical intervention alone, it may also need spiritual also.

My people let us cultivate a praying habit, it doesn't have to be long or have Bible quotes, it could just be 2 or 3 lines, it is a blessing.
Let us also pray for medical personnels, that shall attend to us from antenatal care to labour and delivery and even postnatal care.

Just as it is more blessed to give than to receive, it is more "Effective to pray, than to say Amen! "

If you spent time on Twitter or Instagram this week, you might have caught the #FreeMelania jokes swirling around on social media, which suggest that Melania Trump was so miserable at the inauguration, and possibly in her marriage, that we need to save her from the clutches of her husband. As of today, the hashtag brings up about 7000 posts on Instagram and a constantly growing number on Twitter.
Of course, photos of public figures, particularly those involved in politics, are free for interpretation. But insinuating that someone is in an abusive relationship based on how they appear (or how often they speak), and then mocking them, shows how poorly Americans understand the gravity of domestic abuse and violence. An average of 20 people are physically abused by intimate partners every minute in the United States, which adds up to more than 10 million abuse victims and survivors annually, according to The National Coalition Against Domestic Violence.

The people of the internet, don't know whether or not Melania is being abused — and it's particularly tricky territory, given her husband's complicated track record around assault and high-power status — but frankly, that's not the point. At the end of the day, it's never okay to joke about abuse, and it's certainly not okay to publicly assume that someone is being abused for the purpose of making light of it.

"Melania hasn't said anything publicly about abuse or asked for assistance, but if she ever says something, that will be the time to talk about it, not now," says Ruth Glenn, executive director of The National Coalition Against Domestic Violence. "You never want to assign abuse."

Domestic abuse looks different in every single relationship, because — imagine this! — every single relationship is different. We honestly have no idea what's going on in Melania and Donald's marriage, and we shouldn't pick and choose tropes to thrust on them.

"The image of Melania painted in the shadows of her husband, that's not how abuse looks for everyone," says Bryan Pacheco, a spokesperson for the domestic abuse hotline and shelter, Safe Horizon.
“WHEN THE INTERNET REVELS IN #FREEMELANIA JOKES, THAT CREATES AN ENVIRONMENT IN WHICH PEOPLE IN ABUSIVE SITUATIONS MAY NOT FEEL SAFE COMING OUT AND GETTING HELP".
This is not to say that you should remain silent if you truly think someone you know is being abused. But there are right and wrong ways to handle that kind of situation, and assuming that it's easy for someone to leave an abusive partner if they aren't physically held captive (like many #FreeMelania posters seem to be assuming) is often the first thing people get wrong.

"When you think about the possibility of a loved one being in a domestic abuse situation, it's natural to think, 'Just leave him!'" Pacheco says. Telling your loved one to simply leave may feel like the quickest way to help, but giving point-blank instructions to a domestic abuse survivor can be disempowering.

"A survivor gets to determine and assess when it's safe for them to take action with an abuser, and when we tell them when to leave, we don't understand the checklist they have to go through," Glenn says. "If leaving was that simple, it'd be a healthier world."

In domestic abuse scenarios, people can be afraid to leave the relationship because of deep internal struggles, logistical complications with children, religious obligations, and financial incentives. Love is another big reason, and some people believe if they wait it out, their partner will change, Glenn says.

The best thing you can do for someone who you believe is stuck in an abusive relationship is offer support. Let the person know that you're there to talk, remind them that nothing they say will make you stop supporting them, and also give them a domestic abuse hotline number. "Many survivors respond to that," Glenn says. "It may take a month, week, or year, but they're more likely to react when they know someone is there for them."

Domestic abuse survivors may feel stigmatized or pressured to be silent, because they're afraid people won't understand or believe them. And when the internet revels in #FreeMelania jokes, that creates an environment in which people in abusive situations may not feel safe coming out and getting help. Not to mention, if you truly believe that Melania is being abused, joking about her situation and thinking, "Well, she got herself into this marriage," only perpetuates victim-blaming.

"If you think she chose [to be in an abusive situation], you're showing a lack of empathy and understanding of domestic violence," Glenn says (though again, we simply can't know if she is or isn't in an abusive relationship, and it's reckless to claim she is without evidence).

As for the memes? Just don't. "Whether it's Melania or someone else, when we make domestic abuse a laughing matter or minimize what someone might be going through, it doesn't help victims and survivors, it makes them marginalized," Glenn says.
