GloriousGbola: You are playing political games with numbers
The 600 billion you are throwing around comes to 17000 monthly over 3 years
Please tell me how a 17000 naira monthly govt grant will take a family out of poverty. Unless you want this govt to be spending 3 trillion on grants which would be 800k per family.
You should know that nowhere in the world cn you eliminate poverty by govt grants. All you can and should do is provide some support.
You likely have some people you are supporting. Do you give them 100% of their needs? Is that actually going to help them? Why not just type NO? You meant NO, right? |

CrystalTiger: These things are very wrong..This is not about anyone's political influence, it's about the sanctity of offices..
If the director of NRS is going to serve in any campaign position, then he must serve every political party because his office isn't just in-charge of revenue collected from APC members.. Unless you're now saying that it's only businesses controlled by APC that pays revenue..
They've also added the director of NIMC as the head of APC data management committee..It makes zero sense because he's also not in-charge of the data of APC members only..
I don't see how directors of NRS and NIMC should be openly involved in politics like this..This was the excuse made for Emefiele last election circle and look how it turned out.. Was there any government where these same people were not Partisan? Minister of Defense was the APC Security Protocol officer in their convention. Nobody said anything. It isn't normal, Yes. But it has always been there. The outcry was supposed to happen when INEC boss was eulogizing Tinubu. Sadly, that time don pass |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by izzou(m): 5:10pm On Aug 25 |
Spy360: It is those minor things that we neglect that lead to major things in future.
You have taken the NRS as nothing until INEC chairman is listed as member of campaign team then you will start asking questions
I don't see how we are so vulnerable as a people. We accept rubbish and when it starts smelling, we begin to wonder why it's smelly It didn't start with Tinubu. It was a norm since 1999. Is there any appointed minister/Director in any government that wasn't partisan? I am more concerned that the umpire of the election is a CityBoy. When he was appointed, what did the Nigerian people do? What did our justice system do? Nothing. The worst has already happened. Na NRC boss come be the headache? |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by izzou(m): 8:42am On Aug 25 |
Spy360: So Tinubu was right?
Should he not also include the INEC chairman into his campaign team? Yes, it is an appointment. I think you're focusing on the minors. What political influence does the NRS boss have? Absolutely nothing That was how a minister in his cabinet resigned to test his strength in his state, and got beaten black and blue. INEC chairman is already an APC man. That should be more of a headache then an NRC boss that may most likely not deliver the polling unit on his street at Abuja |

Tochex101: Who is responsible for palliative measures on that road?
Who is responsible for timely awardance of contracts?
Who sees to proper project monitoring?
All these fall on the shoulders of the ministry of works, especially its hierarchy. True Maybe if people were asking these questions, instead of projecting that the road was totally abandoned, the answers would be clearer There are contractors on that road. They need to open up the lanes that have been done. They need to either grade or level the bad spots that are there. |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by izzou(m): 2:03pm On Aug 24 |
So, I have my different opinion about the unfortunate traffic situation on the Benin Expressway. While every Nigerian is blaming the government, I choose to blame the contractor.
That road is under construction. Yes (Benin Byepass, Benin-Sapele and Benin-Asaba have been awarded, and work had begun). If you look at the video that iamoyindamola posted about the sinking car, you'll see a heap of Stone dust there. Those roads are under construction
That was the road Obi talked about one time, and Umahi went to show that it's under construction.
Nigerian road contractors have this horrible habit of either not making temporary solutions to bad spots. As long as they haven't gotten there, they won't temporarily fix a bad spot until they get there.
Also, Nigerian Road contractors have this dirty habit of closing down lanes that are already completed for no reason; maybe till it is commissioned, rather than opening it for public use.
The rain, coupled with vehicles breaking down and falling at the bad spots was the cause of that disaster last week. |

Something happened and they had to put her on life support. It was at that stage they discovered she was brain dead. So, the only option was for the children to say their last goodbyes and she was taken off the machine. BlueRayDick: It's unfortunate he had to go this way, but somehow I just feel it's good he finally goes to rest.
