GloriousGbola: so i should start using indrive? i installed the app but never actually went through the process of setting up
now that uber is gone they may start raising prices though. InDrive is the worst. 99% of the time, the drivers will take you offline. The fares are ridiculously cheap. |

Undercutting the Business isn't what drove Uber. Other cheaper options is what drove them.
InDrive is the cheapest, and they have zero commissions for some trips. How come they haven't folded up yet? The same for Bolt.
Uber rates were favorable to drivers. A trip of 5k on Bolt, can be 7,500 or 8k on Uber. People just started abandoning the app for cheaper options. |

BlueRayDick: I guess competition from alternatives like InDrive made their business model not sutainable and they just decided to move.
From a consumer's viewpoint, I think InDrive having that feature that allows consumers negotiate the cost of ride with willing drivers definitely puts brand like Uber and bolt at disadvantage. Uber was the only app that favoured drivers most. You can hardly hear drivers renegotiating offline on Uber. Bolt and InDrive have turned Nigerian models It is well sha. |

BlueRayDick: I guess he transformed from a technocrat to a typical Nigerian politician that doesn't care about optics within the shortest possible time frame. That's the only explanation for what Soludo has become.
If he wants to appoint a politician in to be in charge of security matters in the state, couldn't he have looked for someone other than the man mentioned in such heinous crime? That guy is another dictator in the state. I won't be surprised if this is what happened. No be Soludo again? All because they want to become Vice President in 2031, they have turned into something else. I trust APC to Zone it to the South South, so their shame go long pass Rochas Okorocha own |

TemporaryHansel: Nigerian politics is just somehow. An LGA chairman is the equivalent of Mayor in the US. We've seen mayors being 100% against the governors in their state, and yet the Governors can't "sack them".
We copied the US system, but we are practicing it up side down.
Governors wives choose HOA and HOR candidates in Nigeria, an aberation that most Americans would find hard to accept if they were told. The people don't decide who their leader will be via primaries but through...
The kind of things the president of Nigeria do here, if Trump take only 20% of such actions even his base maga will lead the rallies for his impeachment.
Anyways, Nigerians seem okay with the current set up because most hope to be the one in power someday and continue the status quo. Like pdp guy said, a lot of Nigerians prefer the dysfunctional state Nigeria is in.
Nigeria is just like boarding schools those days that you needed to get to ss2 to start enjoying any iota of peace.
Jss 1 — SS1 is serious suffer, but you hardly see anyone complain because they want to become seniors and continue the suffering on the junior classes. Aptly put. What's more worrisome is that an LGA Chairman is elected. His people chose him. How can a governor remove an elected official and put a Councillor? In the end, all that matters to both the sane and insane is the numbers. Whether people are beheaded or sacked or killed or coerced isn't a problem |

BlueRayDick: Exactly!
All the sympathy Osun people have for the Adeleke family ends after Ademola's tenure. I that's why he's busy putting everybody named Adeleke in one position or the other in government.
The reason APC has failed to get a grip on power in the state is the way Aregbe ruled the state like a dictator in the past; how he paid half salary, how he ran the school system like what obtains in communist states and how his policies further impoverished the already poor citizens of the state. The trauma made indigene of the state to go for anything but APC. But Aregbe no dey APC again nau? And besides, APC has ruled after Aregbe too. |

Bombblacks: Even yours isn't arranged well too. A better narrative is your parents were born in Ibadan, you were also born there and have gone through the legal process of being certified an indigene of Ibadan. Does that not make you an Omo Oluyole? The white guy is just trying to let her know that while her and an ancestral British have the same privileges, it does not define her as one. I understand him, and he's right. Even if I go through the legal process of being an indigene of Ibadan, it doesn't make me Yoruba or an Omo Oluyole. She wasn't ready to understand him. |
