PDP already said they were zoning the VP to SS.

It's so simple, really. The Obidients will always be out here playing their emotional politics while the rest of us deal with reality. We scream about how Tinubu’s been wrecking the country, but then when we’re handed a golden opportunity to actually boot him from that seat, y’all trip over your own feet. Classic move. Honestly, at this point, calling them pseudo Tinubu supporters is generous. Obi running solo in 2023 practically gift-wrapped Tinubu’s victory, and if he pulls the same stunt in 2027, it’s safe to say he's not just a bad candidate – he's a paid agent. Both him and his followers? They’re basically undercover operatives planted by Tinubu to make sure he waltz into the presidency unopposed.
Why did Atiku drop Obi and pick Okowa?

Why not start from there? Is it not possible he is also working for Tinubu?

Atiku with his political structure intact polled 6.9m and Obi relying on his personal charisma polled 6.1m. Why should Obi kowtow and accept to be Atiku's VP?

Can Atiku be VP twice? It's looking like he pledges one term before handing over to Obi. That's fair
If so, the Northern Nigeria would rather give Tinubu another 4 years, and have their 8 years back.

Atiku doing 4, and Obi doing 8 is a bad choice for the North.

Suddenly, Obi shouldn't have left, when your MCM dumped him for Okowa, who couldn't even last 2 years as opposition, before flying to APC.

Obi tested his popularity. It would have gone either ways.

He was in PDP until the week of the primaries, after finding out that Atiku would pick Okowa over him. You are not blaming Atiku for such an erroneous decision. Na innocent people wey choose from the trio, we go blame.

Someone who didn't have any single structure politically, is to blame for the failure of the one that had almost 10 governors, and enough senators on his side.

I specifically take issue with #5.
Only gen alphas will opine that VPs can't be powerful in Nigeria.
That's not a foreign concept. It happened before. Idiagbon. Recently with Atiku who Obasanjo had to beg to complete his second term and who scuttled Obasanjo's third team bid.

Also, it is quite interesting that in 2023, you all were adamant that Obi would win when the lack of core Northern votes made him unelectable.
But here you are, 2 years before an election, calling it quits and taking the time to come up with a long list of reasons why a coalition of Atiku and Obi that earned 13 million votes in 2023 does not stand a chance after Tinubu's performance.
How do you consistently make decisions that benefit Tinubu politically but want to gaslight critics with shalaye.

Somehow Obi who could beat Atiku and Tinubu in 2023 cannot tag team with Atiku to beat Tinubu after an admittedly disastrous half term.
Get a grip!
Politicians are defecting. That's your excuse. How many politicians defected to LP in 2021 for Obi to get 6 million votes?
How many politicians did Obi serenade in 2021 to get 6 million votes?
Atiku did have the Northern vote in 2023. Look at the vote tally. Tinubu did not win any KKK state.
That was not a fluke. If you all Tinubu agents hadn't voted for a political terrorist, Atiku will be president today.
And if in 2027, you shun an Atiku/Obi ticket to sit at home or vote Tinubu, accept wholeheartedly that you worked for Tinubu's second term.

We've had excessive wailing on this thread and elsewhere on social media about Tinubu's misgovernance.
You could swear that Tinubu was the worst President in Nigeria's history.
Then you get the opportunity to change things and you--admittedly one of his loudest critics--are coming up with a list of excuses why you will not vote a ticket with Obi on it.

Tinubu is a failure. But you will not vote for an Obi alternative.
I want y'all to go on the record. So we know any Tinubu complaints going forward are theatrics and mental gymnastics.
You cannot call an election 2 years early and forego a rescue ticket and coalition with your savior in it, and you want to play-act as a Tinubu critic.

-Lord
You seem to be flogging this matter more than the contestants

Atiku and Obi have confirmed there's a coalition. Why not wait to see if they would stick together or not?

After all, it was Atiku that ditched Obi for Okowa in 2023. Maybe he didn't also know the power a VP has.

Relax. Make dem draw lineup first.

In addition to this, I think they need to educate the drivers that every road user including private car owners have equal rights and right of access to the roads. They should stop feeling because their trucks are big they own the road and can run off smaller vehicles off the road.

Some of those drivers will sit up high in their truck and be looking down on other vehicle owners. Sometimes if u no get mind, u go wan park make dem commot before u continue ur journey. If our road safety were to be working effectively, they should be arresting them for overload, drunk driving and overspeeding . Instead of doing this, road safety will be looking for private cars that don't have fire extinguishers or tokunbo tyres that have expired. I doubt road safety even check tyres of these trucks.
FRSC doesn't need to stand on highways and flag down truck to check. Doesn't make sense

Every Tanker must be filled at a depot. That's the best place to inspect them

There's a company on Snake Island. If you want to carry your tanker or truck to Snake island, they would conduct serious checks to confirm if it is road worthy, before the truck can enter the barge. If it fails the test, they turn you back

What is wrong if FRSC have those checks at the depots?

Instead of attacking the main problem, they result to ban. As if the ban will make a faulty truck without brakes, not to kill people.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by izzou(m): 8:28am On May 22, 2025
BlueRayDick:
The bold is the major issue. Most of the trucks being used to ferry PMS are old and not road worthy at all. Most of the oil companies do not really invest in new tankers regularly. (Although those trucks are actually expensive particularly in this current economic situation we find ourselves in Nigeria)
The big ones actually invest in brand new ones.

But even an old one can do the job, as long as it is taken care of religiously.

The problem is not whether it's night or day.

Another issue is the recklessness of the drivers. Travel on our highways, and see them parked at various toll gates, consuming alcohol and drugs. Then they jump into the cabin and drive.

Avoiding accidents has to be very intentional, starting from the character of the driver. All these bans change nothing.

I don't understand this man government at all
Whether Night or day, those accidents will happen

Because many trucks in Nigeria are carrying beyond their stipulated weight, and many of them are not even road worthy.

Its an "our son" election like in 2023, The North cannot see their son on the ballot and vote elsewhere. In 2023 tiku without any governor cleared 5/6 NE states even when it was just another Northerner finishing 8yrs. Now imagine when the North is crying this hard after just yrs
Atiku won Osun in 2023, and today, all Osun's lawmakers are singing Tinubu's praises. What's the guarantee?

So far, I have not seen any Northern PDP governor standing behind him. His own Okowa has even decamped.

Tinubu/Shetimma vs Atiku/Obi

These people who will not vote Atiku, who will they vote?

I see Atiku at least retaining the states he won in the North in 2023 or even expanding based on Northerners grievances with Tinubu

I see that Atiku/Obi tcket winning 70% of the states he won in 2023 not because they love Atiku but because Obi is on it. At least the 5 SE states will all vote Atiku/Obi over Tinubu/Shetimma

In the core North(NE and NW) 13 states Atiku will clear almost 10 of those plus 5 SE states from Obis influence. That is already 18 states half of 36

I also imagine some SS states might follow suit
Can Atiku win states without any governor or Senator on his side?

The last time I checked, every elected living soul dey support Tinubu.

The only thing I know is that Obi is the constant K, for this coalition to work. Maybe Scamkwanso would work. But Atiku be like who fit no deliver again.

Good question.

By commanding,do you mean- more expensive or prestige?

If Expensive, then its simply as you have stated it - Mechanical know-how,cost of maintenance/parts... leading to low demand-resulting in its low price.

If Prestige, then Glk (to me is an elevated C class on heels😎)can and will never be more prestigious than even a 2006 S-class let alone 2010.Those beast(S-class)are where Benz truly test their technology and technical/Mechanical know how.

I believe pack-mentality also has an effect,e.g., Pablo buys a GLK ,next thing every Harry and Dick want same GLK to look rich.Same is happening to Lexus -Is,Es,RX...and hence the increase in price and perceived prestige.
I meant in terms of Price.

Especially knowing these useless policemen are terrible in shooting, I am very sure he wasn't aiming for kill but because alcohol have saturated his brain, he can't hit a target

If there was a wall instead of a bridge, he would have smashed the policeman to it; Instant death.

I am not justifying the death of his son, but he's the architect of his problem.

He passed one way and was caught. Why not pay the fine and move on? Is the car worth all the stress of losing his son?
