So, just to chip in my thoughts on this

I think there's a difference between EXPENSIVE AND LUXURY.

What determines Luxury, is the qualities and the attributes of what the item posseses, and not the price.

Things have gotten expensive over time, and yes, nobody can easily spend that, but that doesn't mean a Camry 013, is luxurious. It can never be even if it costs 1 billion naira. It only got EXPENSIVE.

This is the price of a 1980 something Nigerian Used Mack Truck. 22 million naira. We cannot say this is luxurious in any way.

That's my own opinion on this matter.

I'm on season 4 currently and I can say the series is not actually bad. It has a way of getting u hooked and wanting to see what happens next. Although I agree they dragged it unnecessarily; they really milked it by extending it to season 6 sha.

I've not seen that hustle, I doubt if one can see it in Alaba gan sef.

Omo! The internet services becoming affordable and the advent of streaming platforms really dealt with all those guys wey dey sell CD for Alaba o. I remember how I would go and buy CD's as low as N50 per copy and I will charter plenty of it particularly during holdays . That was how we watched series movies back then; Merlin, Legend of the seeker, Game of thrones (at inception), etc
I remember all those CDs wey get different collection of movies. Lol grin

There are some series I am still looking for.

One was a guy who was a private investigator. He could analyse a case psychologically. I wish I could find it.

I don't think any Series should be more than 3 seasons. Even this Godfather of Harlem might be a miss. They already had a perfect ending at S3. What's the need for S4?

I have been watching that old series "Lost" for the past 2 weeks now. It was around that 2006/2007 during the era of DVD I first watched it but was never able to finish it , nor could I really remember most of it.

Watching it now on Netflix I realize what people used to joke about the series that if u are not careful, u fit lost inside the series. Each season has long list of episodes and they keep alternating from flash backs to present day to future dates inside one series grin
That series lost steam after the 2nd abi 3rd season.

I used to like it back then, but I no sure say I wan watch am again grin

There's a series i used to watch then: Hustle ..
About some con men who scammed people in London. I cannot find it anywhere.

These are the kinds of people we live among, those who compare logical matters with completely illogical ones.
How can someone who brought a rifle, pulled the trigger, and killed a fellow human being be described as having made a "mistake"?
How on earth can such an act be labeled a mistake?
I was shocked that Amigoss tagged me and compared it to a discussion we had earlier in this thread, that says a lot about his level of understanding. But I wasn’t surprised that Izzou backed him up.
Are you aware that a teenager, who could pass off as my daughter or yours, killed herself because of JAMB?

I don't care about whatever level of understanding you placed yourself. You are your own judge and jury. Na you rate yourself, na you go still clap for yourself.

Someone messed up the results of 400,000 people, and see how you're defending him like you've got something in it for you.

Be surprised. Don't be surprised. That's your own headache, Chief.

In a place where people are responsible (which I have now agreed that many Nigerians don't want), that man would have tendered his resignation.

You think they just roll dice to pick 4 as cutoff? Was it not after the saw all the results that they decided that 4/200 is what will give Zamfara any chance to field people in Unity chools?
Yes, they rolled dice to pick 4.

Do you know what 4 is in comparison to 133?

What metric did they use to arrive at 4?

Yes sir, they rolled dice to pick 4.

If they have people in their hundreds from Zamfara scoring 150 they wont place their cutoff at 4

So until the people from Zamfara are good enough to make that cut we should exclude them?

Can we also extend to football that until Africans can be good enough to be winning FIFA WPOTY consistently, or making world cup finals lets exclude them from the world cup
Can you show me where the cut off was ever 100 for Zamfara, then having seen that they couldn't make it, they brought it to 4?

Best country in Asia might be poorer than the country who didnt qualif from South America or Europe

Italy didnt qualify for the last world cup and they are liely better than Asian countries who did

The person from Asia is the best Asia has to offer same way the 4/200 is the best Zamfara has to offer
You are explaining big big grammar

Everyone has to go through the qualifiers in their continent. Everyone. 3 points for winning and 1 points for a draw

If Italy did not qualify, they didn't make it through the same standard that Saudi Arabia went through

The purpose is for unity. The purpose did not say the academically poor from all Northern states should be there.

That document is the problem, but you have held on to it like that is the objective

There will still be people from Zamfara that can score 150. God did not curse them

Same reason we have different cutoffs for different states in University but we all still write the same exam

Same reason we allow different countries even from poor continents into world cup yet they dont lower/shrink the goalpost for them
So how do we allow countries from poor continents into the World cup?

They don't play qualifiers?
Or their Win points is 6 instead of 3?

Which one sir?

The people who started the schools said the goal is for Unity, The cutoff marks shows they have different for different states. We have evidence that they actually admit people based on these low scores

Where did Dayo tell you anything about mediocrity?

There are cutoff marks and a student from Zamfara tat scored way less than you will enter the same class with you

Whether they promote is a different thing

Same way in UME we had lower scores for ELDS states but once they enter na the same exam everyone dey write
And that is the problem, not the purpose of Unity schools

The goal is not to carry any academically poor person because of Unity.

The schools are actually decent and competitive to study, so your opinion of admitting anybody is flawed.

There's is Gusau Comprehensive High School, if 4 is your standard. There are still people in Zamfara that can make 150.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by izzou(m): 8:12pm On May 16, 2025
I attended a unity school, and nobody was promoted for the purpose of Unity

If you fail, you repeat, and if it gets worse, you are asked to withdraw. The teachers there are not mediocre. Years upon years of teaching experience

So this purpose of creating schools for unity has nothing to do with the mediocrity Dayo is forcing down our throats

But then, I know you only fold once a year. Na 2026 we go see you fold again

The purpose of Unity schools is to have a representation of all states in School whether the best students from the states can score 10 or 200 is immaterial

If it’s a construction company their limit is N10m . And they can always go to bank to withdraw whatever amount they want to pay the casual workers .

What the law is saying is about single transaction na I.e an individual needing to make a single transaction that involves N5m. Not an individual fragmenting N5m to pay tens or hundreds of causal workers
I understand the law. I am only responding to what you said here.

BlueRayDick:
Why should anybody be carrying cash in excess of N5m around when u can do transfer ? 🤷‍♂️
Yes, people carry cash in excess of 5m around because it is a much better method for disbursing payment (for them) than transfer.

Well , the law says they shouldn’t . And it’s not a new development sef , it’s been around for a long while . You may not know if u don’t have anything to do with AML/Terrorism financing compliance .

Maybe people don’t know because they don’t enforce the individual aspect of the law , but they’ve been enforcing the corporate aspect
I know the law exists. It is not new

I'm just answering your questions on why someone will move around with such cash

Yes, they do. People who work in construction sites in very interior regions almost have to deal on cash.

They don't even source it from Banks. Petrol stations, POS, etc, and they'll gather that much to pay who they have to pay.
