The purpose of Unity schools is to have a representation of all states in School whether the best students from the states can score 10 or 200 is immaterial
Then Zamfara's cut off mark should be adopted

4 will get every state represented.

If it’s a construction company their limit is N10m . And they can always go to bank to withdraw whatever amount they want to pay the casual workers .

What the law is saying is about single transaction na I.e an individual needing to make a single transaction that involves N5m. Not an individual fragmenting N5m to pay tens or hundreds of causal workers
I understand the law. I am only responding to what you said here.

BlueRayDick:
Why should anybody be carrying cash in excess of N5m around when u can do transfer ? 🤷‍♂️
Yes, people carry cash in excess of 5m around because it is a much better method for disbursing payment (for them) than transfer.

Well , the law says they shouldn’t . And it’s not a new development sef , it’s been around for a long while . You may not know if u don’t have anything to do with AML/Terrorism financing compliance .

Maybe people don’t know because they don’t enforce the individual aspect of the law , but they’ve been enforcing the corporate aspect
I know the law exists. It is not new

I'm just answering your questions on why someone will move around with such cash

Yes, they do. People who work in construction sites in very interior regions almost have to deal on cash.

They don't even source it from Banks. Petrol stations, POS, etc, and they'll gather that much to pay who they have to pay.

.....the 3 affected LGs in Lagos are; Alimosho, Ikorodu and OJo. So what’s your point exactly?!
You told us the programming was done Zone by Zone.

I have shown you another Zone, where all areas were uploaded, except 3LGs. So was there a different programming for each LG?

Bro, this current administration has honestly been the toughest I’ve experienced.

Imagine spending ₦400k every month just on food and small miscellaneous stuff. That’s not even counting the other major expenses.

Some of my businesses, sales dropped badly because people now see the products as luxury they can’t afford. That’s why I’m seriously considering getting back into the e-hailing business, just to survive And now they’re trying to frustrate us further with things like tint permit and increased license renewal fees.

This government is milking every sector, yet we don’t see any real improvements in the lives of average Nigerians. At this point, there’s no middle class anymore,it’s either you’re rich or you’re poor.

Meanwhile, one APC midget will be out here claiming this government is working for everyone, even though he’s quietly dying inside and looking for car rentals to survive
I am always laughing when people here respond to comments from APC fanboys about how Nigeria is good.

Nobody can gaslight me.

After you praise Tinubu on NL and X, and worship him for repaying an IMF loan, you'll drop your phone and go and face reality

You'll buy fuel at 880 or 1040 for diesel
You'll buy brake disc at 55k
You'll buy shocks at 50k

These things do not respond to cho cho cho.

When you praise Tinubu finish, go and face your life alone.

not only do nigerians have beef for the east - so does software. the software error deliberately targeted ibos

actually i think the report said that for some reason the update patch was not rolled out to the other locations as at when due

basically sloppy it admin work.
To be very honest, I have never taken it that is targeted.

What I find distasteful is trying to gaslight someone for thinking that way, when obviously it looks exactly like that.

Imagine saying Nigeria should divide because people think JAMB was targeting the SE; when obviously it looks that way.

If it was the 5 SW states that were affected, headed by an Igbo man, what colouration would you give it?

Instead of just calling it a horrendous failure by Oloyede, you all try to gaslight people for asking very simple questions

Gloriousgbola was already nailing another Igbo man yesterday, only to find out that the guy had absolutely nothing to do with JAMB. He was only invited to the panel.

People have asked for him to resign, but no. It's better we scrap JAMB, than Oloyede resigns.

......number of affected candidates is 300,000+. Total number of affected candidates in the Owerri Zone, which covers all five Southeast states is 100,000+.

Total number of affected students in the Lagos Zone, a Southwest state is 200,000+. How, then, is this targeted at the Southeast?!

We may need to ask the Director of the Owerri Zone, who, by the way, is an Igbo woman, for better clarity.
I do not care if it is my mother's picture that is there.

You say we shouldn't give it an ethic colouration...I totally agree with you.

So, how can you now explain that a technical glitch affected only the South East region and Lagos?

Just give a reason that would make us see it differently.

.......I think this issue has been blown out of proportion. It feels like some people have been waiting for an opportunity to wield their axe against Prof. Oloyede.

The situation is already being given an ethnic coloration, with claims that the glitch was targeted at the Southeast. They’ve even narrowed down the affected areas in Lagos to Igbo-populated communities.

The way and manner in which this matter is being amplified makes it seem like Nigeria is a nation of saints. Are we seriously going to discard all the reforms Oloyede has brought to the agency because of a mistake, though avoidable, that has already been acknowledged and admitted?!

Just imagine if Prof. Yakubu had admitted to a glitch during the last election. Nigeria might have ceased to exist by now.
I am not trying to give it any ethnic colouration oh

But can you explain how a technical glitch affected only one region and Lagos?

Even if it isn't targeted, what exactly does it look like?

Alex onyia is the ceo of educare, the root cause of this mess. He should have put all this concern into ensuring patches for educares software were rolled out as at when due. Ironic that a company run by an ibo man chose not to deploy patches to ibo dominated areas in a timely fashion.

What happened to the old-fashioned way of just winding down your windows before approaching a police checkpoint?

All my cars have tinted windows, and honestly, getting tint permits for them is just a headache right now, especially how the process is. Also, does one tint permit cover all your cars, or is it one per vehicle?

In this forum, I’ve come to see two distinct sets of people. The first are those who seem to have never made a mistake in their lives, at least in their own eyes. They are quick to criticize everything, rarely acknowledging any good in others.
The second set are those who have truly experienced life, with all its ups and downs. Their judgments are shaped by what they have experienced in life, understanding, and a willingness to give others the benefit of the doubt.
Is this what we are reducing accountability to now??

Crisis Management 101 at Exec level:

1st step - Can we get away with it

NO - move to 2nd step

2nd step - Can we identify all centres and candidates affected

YES - but will take 2 weeks - 2 weeks later, move to 3rd step

3rd step - Can we remark all papers affected by the random shuffling - MAYBE - will take 1 week to find out

1 week later. . . cannot remark the papers, move to 4th step

4th step - inform Minister of Education who now needs 1 week to position with Tinubu, including how to communicate to public and budget provision for resits

1 week later

5th step - Admit to public having completed all steps prior and having made provisions for resit at budgetary and operational level

Na so 4 weeks take waka

I have been in this position few times, the last thing you want to do is admit error without having the solution to hand.
He announced a result already. Something that was wrong and did not exist

If JAMB had delayed announcing the result, then I can understand you perfectly. If he had also announced the results and left that of the affected centres, fine
