The flooding currently being experienced in some parts of Lagos is largely attributable to a significant rise in the lagoon water level, which has increased by approximately one-metre.

This elevated lagoon level is impeding the effective discharge of stormwater from drainage channels into the lagoon, resulting in temporary flooding in some areas. As rainfall subsides and the lagoon water level gradually recedes, the accumulated stormwater on affected roads and streets is expected to drain off.

We appeal to Lagosians to remain patient and exercise caution while the situation normalizes. Relevant government agencies are closely monitoring developments and will continue to implement appropriate measures to mitigate the impact.

There's something I don't understand from the rescue operations of the Oyo kidnap victims and sketchy details provided by the government on it.

The military officer that was mentioned as deceased in the course of the rescue operations has his date of demise as 6th June 2026 , while the victims were officially rescued on 10th July 2026. There's like over a month gap between the officer's date of death and the eventual rescue of the victims.

Is it that there was a rescue attempt on 6th of June 2026 which failed resulting to the officer's death before another rescue operation was launched circa 10th July 2026?

Till today, there's no report on how he died sef.

Umahi must tell us what is ailing him that requires flying in a young (and most likely unqualified) Physiotherapist from Kaduna and why he wasn't attended by more experienced and qualified Physios. Not to mention the basic question of what professional Physiotherapist qualification she holds that elicits him choosing her over the plethora of Physiotherapists available to him, both old and experienced physios in Ebonyi, highly qualified professionals in Abuja where he resides; and even easily within his scope - the best qualified physios in UK and USA.
