I think it's the fear of federal might that made Adeleke to be cowering for Tinubu. He most likely feared APC would succeed at voters' intimidation and rewriting results. I guess the people of the state are just his saving grace.
I understand, but beyond the "APC wants to intimidate us" selling point, what exactly made Adeleke exceptional?

The person on trial here is Adeleke, not APC. You ruled for 4 years. What is your selling point?

For me, Adeleke won because the hatred for APC was more. Even during the debates, I struggled to see why he should be reelected.

And the funny part is that a man that thinks Tinubu should come back in 2027, is the same person crying that APC wants to intimidate him. Is that not what he is supporting?

Anyways, congratulations to him. Maybe Oyebamji would be better, maybe not. But I hope Osun gets better after today

In all, I hope Governors will just focus on their job, and win the hearts of their people without any inducement.

Adeleke went to twerk for Tinubu, and it didn't still help him. If he was really outstanding, APC no go win 11 LGA sef. He should do better

Otti has just been focused on his job. Despite being in Labour, he isn't twerking for APC or even Obi. Because of how he has improved the lives of his people, even APC in Abia have lost interest in 2027.

Leave an indelible mark of improvement and the people of Osun won't even consider APC as an option.

I said No one, and I specifically highlighted those who bashed Onaiyekan

And yes, we cannot have two definitions of "Partisan". We need to hear their new opinion again

A man says he's displeased with a Muslim Muslim ticket...He was labeled "Partisan"

Another person comes out to say another religion will never rule again, and Nigeria is a Muslim country. The person who calls the former "names", should show us they are not hypocritical.

Ameachi already said it last two weeks..Dem no born our confused Southern politicians well to talk, and they have proven him right.

If Obi had said half of what Jingir said, I am sure you would have extended this thread by 6 pages.

The big deal is the associated cost.
I have to redo all the print and digital media afresh.
Tv, radio, flyers, billboards, posters etc.

There's also no legal basis to stop an event based on what's printed on my own banners.
The indigenes can choose to boycott the show not mandating me to change it or attacking the event.

Anyways, show is cancelled.
There's no legal basis to stop an event if I call Lagos, "No man's land". But is it wise to do so?

She's an MC....She obviously would have clientele who are Urhobos....Was it wise to cancel the event rather than changing it?

She might be slowly killing her MC career. Now, they are calling her an Ijaw woman who has never identified with Ijaws...

I think wisdom is really profitable to direct.

Their demands are costly. Changing Warri to Effurun across all media adverts is expense that wasn't factored into the budget.

Also, when you look at the naming in the area, businesses around that area use Warri as part of their address.

Lekki is in Etiosa LGA. Ajah is in Ibeju Lekki LGA. Yet, Ajah and the adjoining areas are still referenced as Lekki.

Educating her is good, but threatening to/attacking the event if all media ads aren't modified isn't the way to go.
The fight no reach so except if there's more to it.

This is similar to the Uzo Njoku's case where they came at her for spelling "Owanbe" as "Owanbe". They wrote petitions, threatened her and called for the cancellation of the event but nothing like that happened, the event went on.
If you decide to do an event in Ajah, write "Lekki" on your billboard, and the indigenes request you put Ajah there, will you change it or not?

You are doing an event in Effurun. Whether you put "Warri" or Texas there, it is still Effurun. You were corrected and told that Effurun is not Warri (which is true). You were asked to change the Warri there to Uvwie (Effurun is in Uvwie LGA of Delta state. Warri is in Warri South LGA of Delta)

What exactly is the big deal here?

No be the same Urhobo people go come the show?

She prefers to cancel the show, refund thousands of people than to print another flyer with the correct location. That is peak manipulation, and for someone who makes a lot of money MC'n events in NigerDelta, she is indeed ruining her local fanbase.
grin grin grin

What started as a little thing, has now spiralled into something else.

She has now posted a flyer of the show in London.

People are now asking her why she didn't think of writing "Europe", or "Manchester". grin

Flint may be living in the States or YouKay.

No doubt that age can be an issue. Na true!

But saying it's a bigger red flag than tribalism is what we both know isn't true.

If there are 100 intertribal marriages, 98 of them met serious resistances from families before they were finally accepted.

No be new thing for here!

Theflint1:
Is tribalism the only reason you'd call a child "basterrd"?

I'm not saying tribe might not have factored in everything that played out, but there was a bigger red flag, being the almost predatory age gap between Peter and Lola for tribal difference to become the primary reason they'd be opposed to their union.

Very few Nigerian families would take sitting the thought of their son that's at the prime of his life settling for a Nigerian woman that's 9 years older than him.

It's like a bring a cripple/mute from a different tribe home, and my family opposes the wedding and you're saying their primary reason for opposing it was the tribal difference.
Did he meet her overnight?

You're talking as if he just showed up one morning with Lola.

Between age and tribe, you think age is a bigger red flag in a Nigerian marriage? Age?

Ordinary different communities in the same state na potential red flag, talk more of a different tribe.

Well, let's agree to disagree. Lola might have saved her marriage with her silence, and I admire her for that

How many men are bringing women 9 years older than them as who they've chosen to settle down with?

When no be say e dey marry for paper, or for money.

Your son at the prime of his life brings home a woman 9 years his senior as who he wants to marry... father fit no too talk, but I don't see any mother that would agree to such without first putting up a fight.
So who calls the child of a 9 year old older wife a "Basterrrd"?

I am not trying to force tribalism on the Okoyes', but these things exist. It is a big issue amongst tribal marriages, and even. States.

Recently, Lagos State Domestic Agency arrested a father in-law for throwing the widow of his son out of their house and claimed all the properties....Yoruba to Yoruba oh.

It is a struggle to bring a different tribe to your family for marriage. Most Nigerian families struggle to entertain such proposals

One of the uses of Social Media is to gaslight and manipulate people.

A lady (Real Warri Pikin) organized a show, and the address on the billboard was Warri. The indigenes told her to put the correct address, and even wrote to the Event centre to correct it, or risk a lawsuit

Madam cancelled her show and started making videos of how we are disunited, blah blah blah
