He didn't asked to be called "Your Excellency", or "His Royal Highness"

Just "Mr", na too much respect.

Meanwhile, you guys in the military should stop using "Sir" or even Titles. Na Global village we dey now.

All of them are the same. Stop fighting this. The world is a global village. Your first name will be called whether you like it or not. 😃
This Global village has not affected the Japanese from bowing when they want to greet or apologize.

Till tomorrow, it's part of their culture.

But for Africans, everything irritates us, even a simple "Mr".

She should have left out the "Good morning". Everybody knows the morning was good. Just go ahead with "Tony, I wanted to ask about......"

Is Mr not a title again? If you fill a form, Mr, Mrs, etc, are prefix titles.

If I'm the girl, and I still have a job by Monday, everybody go be Mr and Mrs. We are too fake.

At the end of the day, wetyn respect wey we respect these elders do for us? Them won kill us upon all the respect wey we give them.

Maybe if we don beat nonsense comot for their body them for wise
Tony is not Tinubu that promised her heaven on earth, so I don't know what expectations we need to have for respecting people.

If she's tired of UBA and doesn't want to add "Mr", she can resign and be her own boss

Tony na CEO
Iya Misturah selling amala na CEO too

She can leave and be her own boss. Life no hard pass like that.

It's company policy to call people by first name, if not, the girl no go do am. That's how it is in most banks and other organizations.

Me I know say that policy na rubbish. Many of them no like am. Them just won copy white. 🤣🤣

We like title in this country. Even more than that respect. Title is not respect.
I have worked in a bank, and I still call people "MR"

And that was why I was surprised when I heard it was "Mandatory". I only know that it's fine to call people by their first names, but I never knew it was by force.

I don't know how "Mr" is a title. I don't know how addressing someone politely is a title.

She for no kuku put "Good morning". That one sef na title. She should have just called him "Tony" and asked the question.

Yes , there are actually . Some companies make it part of their HR policy that everybody must be addressed on first name basis .

I’ve been around people like that in the past. You can tell when some of them who have been sending u mails finally see u for the first time .

One of them saw me one day for the first time during a physical meeting , and couldn’t call my first name she has been using to address me in mails 😂
Ohhh..

I know people address people by their first names, but I didn't know companies "mandate" people to do so.

Good morning, Tony.......

Nothing person no go hear

What do you guys think about this Lady and Tony Elumelu’s conversation considering there are organizations in Corporate Naija that mandate it for staff to address each other on first name basis irrespective of age or cadre gap.
Is this one not phooolishness??

And are there really organizations that "Mandate" their staff to address each other on first name basis?

Emphasis on "Mandate"?

Tbh, she won't suffer even if she comes to Nigeria. Nigerian men love foreign women and it would please you to know baddies from neighbouring African countries come here to hustle. There is a Kenyan lady who came into Nigeria looking like a peasant. Started hanging out with Don Jazzy and today she lives in a duplex on the Island. All Chidimma needs is Don Jazzy to post her and link her up with a few musicians for vixen roles. She would enjoy. She kuku be beauty queen.

If Subsidy is brought back how will it be financed? Remember PMB did N30Trn Ways and Means that hasn't been fully paid back. So where will the money from subsidy payment come from? Will Dangote sell at a loss when subsidy is brought back?

As to the bold look at it this way.

Your house bill is N100 out of it you spend N40 to subsidize data purchase so madam and the kids can enjoy free monthly wifi. Meanwhile you earn N70 monthly out of which you use N40 to pay for wifi mentioned earlier.

Now you say everyone should pay for their own data. Now you have restored your full N70 that you earn monthly but you still have N100 as your monthly bill meaning you have to make up the remaining N30 and you don't yet have an alternative revenue so how do you make up the N30? Is it not by borrowing?

What I've described crudely it what is happening on a macro level.

Subsidy removal as painful as it is has freed up some revenue but not enough to cover all the government current expenditures which for now only can be covered through borrowings.

If someone else can find a way to fund all our expenditure without borrowing hey I'm all for it.
How will the debt of 4000 be financed?

We stopped Subsidy to free up some debt (I agree with this), and then in 3 years, we plunged ourselves into a debt of almost 3 times that of subsidy.

So a debt of 1000 is crucial to be stopped, but a debt of 4000 isn't?

Atiku has now stated that he would add subsidy back. If you can borrow 4000, is it the 1000 that was the problem?
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by izzou(m): 2:58pm On Aug 20

Looking at it from a logical standpoint Nigeria has infrastructure deficit that would take Billions of dollars to fix.

The unfortunate reality is if we plug all the corruption holes and/or Nigerians become overnight saints we still don't have nearly enough revenue to fix all our problems.

So what are the options? Don't borrow maintain fiscal discipline that would drive down debt but won't likely grow your economy because you're unable to invest in infrastructure that would stimulate productivity.

Second option borrow so you can fund needed infrastructure but on the downside there's a risk a substantial part will be stolen while adding to your national debt.

No straightforward answers.

Added to that the irresponsibility of many Governors especially in the North. While the Enugu State Governor is building infrastructure and the Abia government is clearing debt the one in Kano decides mass marriage is the best thing not forgetting sponsoring Hajj.
So Nigeria saved 1000 from Subsidy removal, and went on to borrow 4000 extra?

So was it really the Subsidy that was the headache in the first place?

Also, with what Taiwo Oyedele showed us, is it fair to agree with Atiku that Subsidy should be brought back?

one of the best things you can do as a parent is give your pikin a proper grounding [not sure if that is the correct word] so that he/she does not feel the pressure for validation. unfortunately social media makes it that much worse , especially for youths.

i am always telling my son that anyone whose income cannot be validated , steer clear of the guy

now people who have had business dealings with this 'big boy' may find themselves under efcc scrutiny
It becomes difficult in a society where you are valuable and seen only if you have money.

The ones with unverifiable sources are now the loudest, and people have begun to see them as the richest.

Dem say failure be like orphan. Nobody wan associate with failure. US have failed woefully in the Middle East Region so all men don begin answer their papa name. America is the security guarantor of the Gulf Countries. How did it end up for these countries hosting America military bases and depending on American military protection against Iran, their neighbor.?

North Korea is even a more bigger hard nut to crack compared to Iran.
North have a military alliance with China.
North Korea have a military alliance with Russia. Two Veto powers in the UN Security Council. They have been sending troops to help Russia. Fvck western economic sanctions.

North will commission a nuclear submarine by the end of the year.
Every eke market day, DPRK dey test missile
They're getting valuable experience from the war in Ukraine, testing their missiles against Western made defense systems.
South Korea ballistic missile range is capped@ 800km only. While North Korean ballistic missile systems ranges from 1,000km - 15,000km. What it means is they don't just cover territory of Samsung Republic, they can hit any target in Europe & in America. Even friends wey go wan put body to help u go disembark ASAP like Spain & co stopped Trump from using their territory/airspace to attack Iran.

And above all, North Korea have nuclear weapon.
I am not arguing or against all what you typed.

South Korea said they want to end the Korean War. Trump has agreed to defund the joint mission.

How is this a bad move?

Two days ago, Samsung Republic started talks to formally end the Korean War, today Trump is announcing a reduction/decrease in military exercise with Seoul while praising Comrade Kim Jong Un.

This is a subtle warning to the leader of Samsung Republic. Either you do as I say or I may withdraw my soldiers & defensive military installations in your country & encourage Chairman Kim Jong Un to annex your country.

Trumpian diplomacy & foreign policy is so very predictable, he will simply end up isolating America.

You want your family to keep controlling the Osun State purse while embracing the same monstrous Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu establishment at the federal level.
