BlueRayDick: Until all business close down before prosperity come
While I was cutting my hair over the weekend, my barber narrated the discussion he had with one of his customers on Friday.
The man is keke rider, he got the keke on hire purchase. The actual cost of the keke is N3m but it was given to him on hire purchase for N4.2m. ( I was shocked that keke now sells for N3m )
The man usually delivers weekly to the owner. Due to the hike in price of fuel the man has not been able to gather enough for his weekly deliver and on top of that, he was unfortunate that police men stopped him and towed the keke to Area command. Now he's looking for money to deliver to the owner as well as money to bail the keke parked inside police area command.
He said the man kept on hissing while he was cutting his hair and that was what prompted him to ask what exactly his problem is. If that man commits suicide out of frustration a lot of people won't know it is the economic hardship under this government that pushed him to the brink. Chai... Na until everybody carry plate dey beg, before we go see prosperity. |

BlueRayDick: Baba all this one u are saying is because the properties demolished are those of ur clients and not urs directly. God forbid, the day a loved one or ur direct property is affected; u won't care whether it is APC , LP or PDP government that demolished it. You will voice your displeasure and loud and clear.
I understand that man's pains; he lost a N150m worth if investment and according to his twitter thread, over 50 direct staff will be out of job. On his twitter thread , the man claimed he has C of O and every necessary title documents and approval. If FCT housing authority can take his property down, what makes u think some people who were LASBCA victims in Lagos were not in same shoes while he was praising LASBCA.
The lesson in all of this is : DON'T MOCK A PAIN YOU HAVEN'T ENDURED. They will soon come and tell him the documents are fake or illegal. You will think all the people building in Lagos, and getting their properties demolished are foolish, until e reach your turn Wike go soon respond. And he will be surprised with what he hears |

BlueRayDick: Baba, I've seen people go from 100 to 0 because of all these government demolitions. Nobody should be defending government for some of these demolitions because if you probe really deep, you will discover it's all about government land grabbing and nothing else.
As a little boy my old man told me about the history of Maroko and how the original occupants were evicted from where we now call Victoria Island; I learnt not to trust government and its officials from that maroko incident. Some of us are critical of government because of the history we know and those things happening all over again.
Anybody that wants to learn about Maroko incident can read the below business day link to the story.
https://businessday.ng/news/news-features/article/how-nigerian-elites-grabbed-maroko-land-25-years-ago-part-1/ I have watched my parents build twice in Lagos, and you cannot build without people in government getting involved. Just last year, FHA demolished all the buildings along Festac Buffer Zone. As at today, buildings are there. Even a Petrol station is there now. Ask GloriousGbola. So who gave these ones approval? They just jumped into a land that structures were just demolished and started building? 10 years later, FHA will demolish it again, and sell to another person E dey easy to dey clap for Twitter. At least, he is a living Testimony of how these things can be a racket |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by izzou(m): 8:36am On Sep 09, 2024 |
GloriousGbola: Lagos state will never demolish a structure without prior notice. I have experienced this multiple times on multiple projects.
I have also had bosses who tried to play smart and got burned. Build on setback, ignore the 3 metre clearance between fence and building. We know the guy, build we will sort approval later.
One time we were going to extend beyond our boundary and it was the taxi drivers who told us, stop this before we report you. It was very funny seeing unkempt taxi drivers telling well dressed corporate people what the law was on site boundary
There was a site in Anthony we were going to renovate without approval. Lasbca came and dropped paper. Management said the owner of the site was an apc chairman and nothing would happen. The chairman called saying sort out all your papers, fashola does not fk around on approvals. We had to shut it down.
However corrupt lasbca is, there is always a paper trail showing when the first notice was issued. This is not a like for like case because most of the enforcement bodies in Abuja are run by barely literate thugs. Then add the fact that you have wike who has never followed process running things.
Abuja where task force was kidnapping women on grounds of indecent dressing? Abuja where task force started spraying parked cars without any provocation? Lagos won't demolish without notice, but you believe Abuja will demolish without notice? You didn't even try to find out if he was contravening laws. You just slam Abuja with such an accusation That one is pure bias. And that's why Proper's comment really went well; Life really comes at us fast. As a teenager, I know what it feels when my mother's shop was destroyed by Fashola. Na so e dey be. May God comfort him, and bring him to his prosperity season. |

Gentlelife50: Talking about CNG I thought people at a point started using it for their generator set? What happened to the noise and hype that a lot of people were seriously and massively importing the noozles, it was flooded everywhere like every corner of the country. Why did the campaign stopped especially now that fuel price is skyrocketing? Abi na me no dey observant? Are people still using them? If it worked and paid those who converted their generator set I believe a lot of people won't need all these preaching to know they should switch. That was LPG (Cooking Gas), not CNG. That one was okay, until the government stopped the tax waiver. Na price make people abandon am |
