This 670 is in Lagos.
This is best case scenario.

In places outside Lagos, fuel na constant of 750-800

But 60k is way too small..

In January 2023, we were buying fuel at 187. Today it is 670

Just imagine the percent increase in inflation.

Although you would be advised to buy Korea, all na still China.

If you have some spare time, go to Trade fair (ASPAMDA). Just at the main gate, ask people you are looking for IYKON. He is the biggest battery importer there. He imports Solite back then.

You are right. For all of Lagos faults, it's still ahead of the remaining 35 states.

I dont know why Bosun hasn't started collaborating with Minister of Interior (NIMC is under Interior) and FRSC to come up with a way for us to have a computerized central database.

It will make it easy for a lot of things.
I really don't know if we utilised the power of those social numbers (NIN & BVN)

I don't even see why we should have a personal tax ID. NIN should be enough.

You are right but there should be a way they can infuse their database with FRSC and those driving in Lagos should be using Lagos plate numbers, no be so he suppose be?
It is actually the VIO that should have this database, but I don't think there is a central body for them. Every state runs his own VIO unit how he deems fit.

So why Lagos VIO is innovative enough to computerise and have a database, another state may still be using biro and paper to document theirs.

For you to do Road worthiness certificate in Lagos, you need to take your vehicle for inspection.
For other states (maybe i am wrong), you don't need to.

If there was a central system that can be accessed, it would have been better.

Humans generally not just Nigerians are naturally lawless. The thing is that we feel we can always get away with our lawlessness in this country due to lack of proper enforcement or corrupt enforcement team that are more interested in collect bribes or looking for who to extort.

Look at the traffic cameras in some of Lagos roads, you will think twice before driving nonsense in those location because you know that before you reach house or wherever you are going to, you will get an sms with your fine stated. You cant even drive out with expired papers, you go collect fine surely. This has curb alot of excesses from private car owners and corrupt enforcement teams. The camera does all the work and you pay into government account.

That is how to create a sane society.

Hopefully Lagos get the traffic camera installed on all Lagos roads and find a way to deal with danfo people.
If your plate number is Lagos, then the camera can fine you.

If you use any of the 35 states and FCT, it is helpless, because your information is not on the database

Lol the truth is times and seasons are different. The antics of those days won't work now, either the government off you or you spend all your days in jail. The dynamics of activism in the 21st century is different.

You see what happened during ENDSARS protest. You see what's happening to the likes of David Hundeyin, Fisayo etc. The government can just declare you a terrorist and that's it.

I'm not denying what he achieved during his days. What we're simply saying is his current antics betray the true spirit of fearless activism that made him who he is.

The same youths who are daring to take a stand and speak truth to the establishment like he did in his heydays are those he's labelling as fascists. He's now siding with the government and condemning the youths just because they're supporting a man he doesn't like.

Maybe na till the youths carry gun like he did that's when he'll support and join them.
Isn't that the journey of activism?

Do you think the Military was soft on the past activists?

Anybody that wants to insult WS because of Obi is free to do so. But leave that legend of activism where he is abeg

We bought fuel for 1000 and people have died trying to survive, and no single soul led a movement to shut down the country.

I no fit do am, You no fit do am, but we feel we need to call Soyinka out for not doing it, rather he is insulting Obi?

Is obi the president?
This is witch hunting in 4k display
I can express my outright displeasure for Kwankwaso and still lead protests at National Assembly, shey?

If you want to insult Soyinka for trolling Obi, it is a different thing entirely. The man is not supporting Tinubu, so where is the hypocrisy?

He does not like Obi (which he is entitled to), and he expresses his displeasure about APC. Is this hypocrisy?
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by izzou(m): 9:25am On Jun 01, 2024
Ellexy:
Not liking Obi is one thing, but keeping mute in the face of what's going on reals of hypocrisy especially giving his track record since his youth.

You want to tell me if Obi is the president and the state of the nation is as it is currently, he won't be spitting fire and brimstone and possibly leading protest like he did under Jonathan? Obi is not even the president yet he's being attacked but Prof has amnesia concerning Tinubu who's in charge.

There's no how one can't see the stinking hypocrisy irrespective of Prof's achievements. What is good for Greece should be good for Uganda.
So, how many of the people talking good about Obi, are actually leading any movement to make this country sane?

How many?

If you want to talk about Activism, then stay on that lane. What he did has not been replicated in this generation. Factos!

He doesn't like Obi and that's his entitlement.

If we truly had just 2 of Soyinka (whether they like Obi or not) in this generation, the country for better small.

We no even get one!
