I am expecting another Federal High Court in Yobe to issue an order reinstating Sanusi.

afrodoc2: Even though i was not in support of the demolition of the Landmark property and especially the hurried way it was carried out, all hands are not equal. You can't compare the impact of saving a man's personal leisure business to saving submarine communication cables that serve millions of people every day. I am not comparing both. As long as those cables were there, they had to find an alternative path. So why not use the alternative from the start? And that's where i agree with Itsrm The deed has been done. But there's nothing wrong in admitting that those business could have been saved from the start. |

raumdeuter: Its like comparing NNPC refinery or a Power plant on the path to a hotel or primary school The road would have shifted anywhere as long as those cables were there. The 2 billion spent on compensation would probably have been saved or channelled into another part of it. If you would shift a road because of a refinery, why not let the hotel and Primary school be? Why demolish them, then shift the road at the refinery's gate? |

Itsrm: That egbon needs Jesus
They should have compensated the telcos like they did to the owners of the "shanties" I don't even see what you said that needs defending. Other beaches, aside Landmark were demolished. Were they shanties too? Since there was a possibility of shifting the road , why not at least save people's businesses too? I am surprised they didn't decide to cut the cables. |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by izzou(m): 1:31pm On May 24, 2024 |
Itsrm: So why male any at all? They should have gone ahead and shutdown the submarine cables.
Besides, like I said earlier, the owner of landmark in one of the interviews I watched said there's another path which was even the initial plan that they could have used that will less impact on people and businesses. |

BlueAngel444: is it pressure that made Poch struggle at PSG?
Is it pressure that made Chelsea sack Mourinho, Conte, Tuchel.
If a manager is winning where is the pressure. You think managers at Everton don't feel pressure not to relegate.
Are you assuming that managing Ipswich town was easy and no pressure. Maybe it was and it seems so because he was winning. But a successful man or one who wants to make a great career is always under pressure to do the best.
You guys talk about pressure like it's a bad thing, abi is it only me that faces my small pressure and value it.
It's only those with a small mind that run from big challenges. Imagine giving me an offer to manage hundreds of millions. Men if I was waking 5am before, I will wake 3am, to enjoy my new role. Pressure ko, pressure ni, except he is a loser that can't handle it. And from those who have watched and been with him, he is not.
Mourinho picked this guy to be his second. You know Mourinho the young man who walks into EPL and calls himself the special one. Was Potter a loser when you gave him the job? You crucify Poch for not carrying the Ligue with PSG, and that proves my point...A Bigger expectation. If the same Poch coached Lille and came second, we will all clap for him and say he did try. When these newbies messes the team up and dump us at 15th, at Week 10, that's when we will start looking for a reasonable replacement. We know Ikenga is a winner. He should go to Brighton and keep winning there. |

Only the pressure to coach big teams is enough to see that Ikenna is most likely to choke in 3 months.
Primary 5 ko, Primary 4 ni.
Alonso exceeded all expectations. If he had finished 4th without any trophy, his board wouldn't chop his head off.
Potter was wonderful till he came to the bridge.
He should go and take small heat from Brighton fess.
