It is only a Nigerian situation that goes from worse to worst, and they will console you that it is for the better. Ewwwwwwww.

Exactly how Buhari began 2015 is played out today. No difference. We were shifting to a terrible state, and they consoled you that it was for the better.

Do you know how many people are worse off from 2015 to 2023?

Do you even know how much a litre of Diesel is? The cheapest you can find is NNPC at 985 naira.

Do you know how many small scale industries are struggling to breathe? Bakeries, printing presses, etc are scared to even take orders because there is no promise on ROI.

Tinubu has no plan, because if he did, he wont remove subsidy, save trillions and go and borrow almost a trillion to share as rice and garri.

The juju wey APC dey use strong sha, so this post was unnecessary

I think we had this argument here before.

The only person that can reduce price of cement and it will have some impact is Dangote.

BUA should've actually specified that the price that he reduced is the factory price and that most retailers still has to include their own cost and profit mark up.
He did not say it. Clever thief grin

Now Nigerians are running up and down, looking for 3500 cement.

I never for one moment believed what he said once I had confirmed the locations of his factories.
No wonder Dangote and Larfarge did not bother themselves with this noise.

I heard Cement actually is within the range of 4000 from the factories

BUA removed 500 and ran to issue press conferences everywhere. He did not tell the public that it was not the RRP.

Now innocent Nigerians are going from shop to shop, looking for 3500 BUA cement grin

If you buy Cement at 3500 in Edo state, and pay a truck almost a million or more to transport it to Lagos, how can you sell it 3,500 again?

You saved trillions in subsidy, and you are struggling to pay salaries. Old salary structure oh.

Shey you dey whine me niiiiiiiiiii, oh oh oh oh oh grin

Government faces enormous challenge especially now, the government is facing revenue deficit. There’s no money anywhere in the country, the government is just managing to pay salaries. The growth rate is very slow and the population growth is fast pacing and increasing. unemployment is surging amid high inflation. These are issues which non-governmental organisations must take on board in helping government to cover the space government could not cover

A weaker domestic currency makes imports more expensive and it also stimulates exports because it is cheap.

During the restriction ban on items when naira was 5, 6, 7 something in the black market. How many people were importing?

The Naira is 8/9h in official window and suddenly people will start importing? That's that.

On the flip side, you are encouraging importation by lifting the ban on those items, what happened to the local manufacturing/production sector? You are saying you want to grow our GDP, that's great but how do you grow GDP without the manufacturing/production sector playing a significant part?

The one that is paining me the most is the president will say one thing and FG will say different thing. Like they're not even serious.

FG is saying they are managing to pay salaries, so what happened to the palliative to federal workers for six months?

Tinubu looks like someone who's confused. At this point I will liken him to someone who is throwing everything against the wall hoping something stick.
You would expect this simple economics to be understood by the CBN and his team

I & E Window is 999/dollar. So who would import at that rate (excluding freight), and come and sell it cheap here? How does this now curb inflation?

They would later come back to that 1% local production that suddenly doesn't matter, and beg it to rise again.

Anyday you decide to contest as president, please tell me. I and my unborn family will vote for you.

The only one that should make sense to anybody here is that he should be given time, not all these kicking of can down the road.

Nigeria's problems were there. Let's not pretend that Tinubu is shocked to see it.

What is even worse is that this guy has no plan to do anything. You remove today, and put it back tomorrow. You remove subsidy, and then start scratching your head on how to manage it.

We are borrowing to subsidise fuel, but in less than 6 months, you have borrowed $1.2 billion to share as palliatives. If this one no be embezzlement moves, i don't know what is. grin
