From Ologbo to Ughelli, people are spending more than 5 hours there because of bad roads

No single construction equipment on site.

Lagos to PH is almost one day journey. Leave 6am, arrive 12 midnight

Umahi leave that one dey draw fresh concrete road for Abuja.

Nonsense

Weve been complaining about the economy and this is one way to grow the economy.

Concrete is cheaper, it has durability of 50 years, will provide employment, more people will go into cement manufacturing and possibly drive down the price and less demand on the dollar because bitumen is imported.
One way to grow the economy is by doing roads, or doing concrete roads?

If it is road, you are right.

Let more people go into Bitumen. We have enough in Cement manufacturing. Nigeria has untapped Bitumen wasting away, and yet we are importing.

Your reason s for this stance
It is expensive, both in financing and in materials. Even in developed countries, they settle for Asphalt.

Cement dealers just warned that adopting Cement roads would drive the price of Cement upwards because it would create a scarcity. Do you know how many tonnes will be needed to do just one project?

Let me not even get started about the absurd idea of building a new Lagos to PH express from scratch, when the East West Road is abandoned.

LordAdam16:
"I stand with Palestine" does not mean an implicit endorsement of everything Palestinian extremists do.

There is a spectrum of people on the "I stand with Palestine" camp as there are on the "I stand with Israel" side of the fence.

I acknowledge Israel's right to exist. As a people, they've gone through more than enough tribulations.
After all, the US, Canada, Australia were snatched from the natives. And it's not like the Caucasians ever had historical claims to these lands.
I'd have preferred if the Jews were given a parcel of land in the New World. Rather than placed smack dab in the midst of folks who hate their guts and further giving the same folks legitimate grievances. It was completely avoidable.

That said, we've had the Arab-Israeli wars. The Arabs lost and they've climbed down their high horses.
Egypt was the ringleader for the first three wars. It refused to recognize the State of Israel. It does now. Israel had to return the Sinai which they won squarely to secure the recognition.

This is the template that everyone is asking to be replicated.
No one is talking about the 1947 UN Partition Plan anymore. Israel can keep the land it won in the first Arab-Israeli War.
But there is no way Israel will be allowed to completely evict a people who had lived on a land for 2000 years. NO WAY.
Nor will it be allowed to continue its occupation and neo-apartheid policy.
There has to be a compromise. The compromise is a State of Palestine within its 1967 borders.
Hamas and many right-wing extremists in Israel do not want this compromise.
Hamas does not want Israel to exist. The Israeli extremists do not want a State of Palestine to exist. Neither is acceptable.

October 7th is a reminder that the sooner this solution is brokered, the sooner we can begin to move past this revolving door of carnage.
Hamas is like any of the dozens of militant groups sprawled out around the region. In Iraq, Syria, Lebanon, Yemen.
They're opportunists. And Israel's continued occupation is the primary source of their legitimacy.
End it and I can assure you that within one month, President Abbas of Palestine will launch an offensive against Hamas.
And he'd ask for help from US, Israel, and Western allies. And many Arab nations will send money for the task. Egypt, Saudi Arabia, UAE.
In fact, like every microstate in the region, he will ask for an American military base with thousands of American troops.

So when folks say "I stand with Palestine", many are advocating for a better way to solve the crisis.
A solution that starts with recognition of the State of Palestine.
A solution that ends the continued persecution of the Palestinians.
A solution that guarantees that October 7 never happens again.

I'll implore you to stop gaslighting people who chant "I stand with Palestine".

-Lord
But nobody was standing with Palestine until the 7th, when innocent people were killed over nothing

Infact, nobody, including the ones here condemned it. The first post from a known moniker here was the a Palestinian flag. Who does that?

Hamas drew first blood on the 7th, and it is the results we are seeing today. You cannot slap me, and dictate how i should retaliate.

But what they would most likely do is franchise those brands to other companies that can have low producing costs. They did it with Lucozade and Ribena.

My apartment in Berlin is owned by a Jewish company, If I cap too much, them go increase my house rent or just refuse to renew when the contract is over grin

I think the first step as black people is to own houses in the west. I have a friend who owns his own apartment and only services a mortgage. By 2025, he will pay off the mortgage and can look at buying another apartment exclusively to rent out.

I think if we own stuff across different parts of the globe and have other ethnicities making us richer (just as black people make Jews richer every time we watch movies or stream songs), then black people will gain more respect even if people still hate them.
The issue with Blacks is that we don't even love ourselves, or look out for each other.

We spend more energy tearing ourselves apart, than looking for means to unite.

You are right, remember the hijab issue in Lagos
Muric was everywhere this is not even death o
I also noticed Christian leaders like folding their arms in situations like this
That can is a useless body
When it gets to Christians, it becomes a taboo for a Christian to ask for his leaders to speak up.

A Muslim lawyer was kicked out of induction because of Hijab, and MURIC did not let anybody rest. Even the one of Lagos schools is still fresh in our minds.

But it is a highly misplaced priority for a Christian to ask Christian leaders to speak up against the killings of Christians
