raumdeuter: What has Sanusi done, what has Ooni of Ife done, what has Atiku done, what has Obi done, what has Kwankwanso done, All prominent Nigerians how many have spoken as much as Adeboye did. I never even get to the elected officials like Tinubu Akpabio, Shetimma etc
Abi they are not fellow Nigerians as the people getting killed And if elected officials don't speak, what about those who are religious leaders? Do you know the kind of influence they pull? If you keep Adeboye and Kwankwaso on a ballot box, who do you think will win? Everybody should speak. If you want to drag elected officials for not speaking, mention me. I will support you But till then, it remains right to ask for the likes of Adeboye to speak. |

BlueRayDick: So what do u propose he does instead ?
Give the church ushers gun to Combat the Fulani militia ? Since he will not give us guns as Ezra and Nehemiah did, he should issue press conferences on behalf of the church that we will not be silent while we are slaughtered anyhow. He should meet with the leaders and demand for those involved to be arrested and prosecuted. He should be the living advocate for the bereaved families, rather than keep quiet and give us the "I have tried" vibes. If he cannot do that, buy guns and share to your congregation. People dey carry am waka for Sokoto. |

When are we going to ask Oyedepo, Ibioyemi, Kumuyi, Suleiman, Enenche the same? I have not exonerated them. CrystalTiger mentioned Adeboye, and i said he was right to say so If he mentioned Raumdeuter, the leader of a religious group too, he will also be right to me. |

BlueRayDick: Raumdeuter just showed u link to video of the standing he “stood” in the past . Perhaps he will still stand with the Benue people as well.
My own is let the elected officials too also speak out in loud voice . Let their representatives in the house of assembly speak , let their governor speak and let the security agencies take charge of the situation .
Religious leader’s influence is secondary If the HOR and Governor do not care, shouldn't the leader of a religious group care? His members could be among those slaughtered. He and the others should stand there, and not be tired. |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by izzou(m): 2:51pm On Oct 18, 2023 |
BlueRayDick: On the contrary , almost everyone knows Adeboye dey put mouth for politics steady . His church was even the first to have a directorate of politics . A pastor under him has been elected vice president in this country .
You can say he has his own political bias when it comes to issues he puts mouth in and those he doesn’t , but u can’t say he’s apolitical; same as Oyedepo.
That being said, I asked him why he(Crystal tigger) expects Adeboye’s press conference in particular when there are several Christian leaders , traditional religious leaders and even known atheists who may not arrange any press conference on the same matter .
One can argue that those people may be tired of putting mouth in the matter knowing fully well that the authorities will do next to nothing to prevent future occurrence . The same argument can be made for Adeboye too. I am not limiting his request to Adeboye, but yes, i believe people like Adeboye should speak for their people in times like this. This one has nothing to do with politics. Innocent people have been killed, and nobody dey talk. He can stand with Christianity in Nigeria now, the same way he stood with Israelites that did not send him last week |

BlueRayDick: Is Adeboye the chief security officer of Benue or Nigeria as a whole ? Why are u expecting his press conference ?
What will Adeboye’s press conference achieve if he does one ?
I believe ur expectations are misplaced . The concerned Benue people have individuals they elected at local, state and national level who should be their mouthpiece on issues that concern them. If Adeboye as RCCG pastor speaks and condemns the unfortunate incident , will u also expect condemnation of other pastors , bishops , traditional religious leaders etc whose people also are victims ?! But he has a point sha. Who made Adeboye the Security officer of UN, when he went to release a video, standing with Israel? Whether we like it or not, these people are the "real influencers", and when they keep silent, it tells a lot on how their followers behave. Na only in our time prophets or MOG no dey put mouth for politics. According to the Bible, almost all did. They condemned what was wrong, and made the troubles of the people known to the king and even God. Most likely Christians were killed in Benue. As the leader of one of the largest congregations in Nigeria, and a face of Christianity in this part of the world, what will he do about it? |

BlueRayDick: Appeal court don sack Elisha Abo from Senate ; in reaction to the judgement he called a press confrence and alleged he was sacked cos he and 4 other senators did not support the emergence of Akpabio as Senate President.
He further alleged that Orji Uzor Kalu is amongst the other 4 senators that have been marked for sack through the courts .
https://www.instagram.com/reel/CyefoJsAr0a/?igshid=NTc4MTIwNjQ2YQ==
Why I think his allegations don’t make sense is ; why will ur party APC orchestrate ur sack through the courts knowing that ur sack will reduce the number of APC members in the senate ? ( because obviously his seat will be filled by a PDP member who contested against him ) The PDP member go decamp naa For every Abbo that is lost, an Ubah is gained. Think about it. Most of these people don’t even know how messed up our system is.
I have seen a situation where people bought lands from government and after almost 30 years the original family that owns the land won a Supreme Court judgement against the government . Now the family having won the judgement moved to take over the acres of land which is now a large community .
