I personally think that since I was born, although you can contest it, Engr. Dave Umahi has been the only SE Governor to comfortably beat his chest and say he's done well, his work speaks for him even his critics know grin even PO no reach Umahi in terms of performance

Sometimes it’s not about tribalism..

It is about respect and manners. Nobody hate you guys. LEARN how to respect your host. You can’t try half of what igbo dishes out in lagos in any state in the east. Even an igbo man can’t try it in an eastern state that's not his!!

As a guest, you don't tell your host how they should run their affairs and dictate to them. Do other tribes have say in your south east?
Where and when did the Igbos dictate and tell you how to run your affairs in Lagos or any Western state?

Or we should just assume they did...

Maybe the word "equal" is contentious. What I mean is that everyone deserves representation, don't you think??

Tribalism and racism are just birds of same feather.

You have millions of igbos in Lagos, just like millions of edos and hausas. If an igbo man, or an Edo man or hausa man emerges as the representatives of those regions respectively or one of them emerges the governor of the state, is it really bad?? Is that not what we see in other healthy democracies??
Since we are people of different tribes and religion, we would peacefully coexist if the owner of the space represent themselves.

I am not even an advocate of that one.

For leadership na! cheesy

You can't be comparing Lagos with any other state in Nigeria. Not even other nigerian cities like Kano and portharcourt.

It is just too diverse. It would surprise you to know that there is even a small town that is predominantly made up of Ghanians in Lagos around badagry or so. My point is Lagos is the first port of call for any immigrant into Nigeria.

Every other megalopolis that mirrors the diverse makeup of Lagos usually has people of various different origins leading it. So far as it's a democracy.

How can abroadians be celebrating the rise of Nigerians into high positions abroad but then frown at it happening right here in their own country within their own compatriots?
How can you have equal representation in another person's place?

Is there equal representation of other nationalities in the USA?

Ofcourse there might be a review after her husband fell out on his imposition.

I won't check the list until you show us Hausa or Igbo in any LP candidate list in your region.
When you get to my region, tell the Yorubas and Hausas to join LP and work their way to selection.

So Tinubu was handing out NASS tickets to random Igbos in Lagos ba?

So Democrats and Republicans go door to door, looking for Nigerians to give political positions abi? Won't the Nigerian join the party and work his way up?

If you want to contest anywhere, you have to join the party and work your way up. Which one be list wey you dey find?

The mantra "Lagos is no man's land" is basically used to argue for equal representation..

Dayo, is it a crime if someone born in Lagos, lived all his life in Lagos but his parents are from another state emerges as a governor and is undoubtedly qualified for the position??

Lagos is the London of Africa! Lagos is the newyork of Africa. Lagos is the largest cosmopolitan city in Africa, why do you think someone of another state can't be the governor??
Aren't you happy with kemi in London, or rishi sunak in London, or Obama of Kenya in America??

Aren't you happy about such meritocracy and integration?
Equal representation where?

Societies can't grow if people from within the society cannot address the ills and shortcomings they believe are associated with the societies from which they come from.
Is there really any ills between Yorubas and Igbos?

In this Lagos, there have been more fights between Yorubas and Hausas, than Yorubas and Igbos. Any Yoruba person here can prove me wrong

How come there is always an ill when we need to vote? Where was this ill 2 years ago, or even last year?

What is even pathetic is people who have nothing to gain and everything to lose are running with the agenda.
