is hijab a Muslim dressing? Don’t Christian Nuns in catholic wear hijab also?
CU did not allow those ones too.

Or did you see Catholic Nuns writing the CBT while our two Muslim sisters stood outside?

They don't want anyone to wear it. It is their law, even before any one of them bought JAMB form

Ok now...this is really interesting..

The subject requirements for... let's say Law is English, Literature, Government and any of Crs or Irs.

If Jamb post a Law candidate that is writing Islamic religious studies to covenant...we he be allowed to write?

I'm saying this because Izzuo said it's a church...

will doing Islamic religious studies in a Church fly?

Will invigilators start checking the subjects people are writing?

And then start sending out anybody writing Islamic religious studies?
People choose to go to private schools.

JAMB will not post you there.

I thought you said you work at a CBT?

Modified: Do you mean the exam?

The school is not the one setting the exam. So what is their headache with what he writes?

Yeah even if it takes 10yrs, justice will still be done.

Justice to finally take the CBT test with a Hijabi, while other Muslim faithfuls are on their PHd thesis.

Justice delayed cannot be denied, truly

What is an ogun worshippers regalia and how is it the same with an hijab?
Why should it be the same with a Hijab?

Or Islam has a better preference than that?

She can repeat it on the real JAMB day, and let her centre be CU.

Then she will have to choose between her future or fight against "Religious Intolerance".

Lmao. But there’s no where on jamb website where it is listed that hijab or non hijab is a requirement for writing exam.

You do know if it wasn’t mock exam, if it was the real exam and the lady didn’t do the exam, she has a legal ground to sue the hell out of Jamb?
You are just trying to make something big out of nothing

Muslims have been writing in CU...I mean the real JAMB. Or do you think CU opened their CBT yesterday?

My question to you is where to draw the line?

If as an adherent of isese, I choose to tie wrapper and chalk up my face, is it up to JAMB to look for a CBT centre at one oritameta somewhere to accommodate my religious dressing?

If a babe worship Namor or Aquaman and dresses in Bikini and G-string to honour her Gods, should JAMB start looking for CBT centre in Atlantis to avoid religious problems?

If that dude that went naked to Bar Beach to pray for Tinubu wants to write Jamb with his nuts hanging unfettered and freely in the breeze, should JAMB tell all CBT centres to allow him to drag his sweaty buttcrack all over their computer lab?

Like brehhhh

Lol

There is nothing about religious intolerance in that matter.

The school is in a church
The school owns the CBT
The school simply asked you to remove your Hijabi.

Other Muslim ladies with their sight on their future, removed it and went in to write their exams. You refused and went home to protest.

Or nobody should have their own laws again, in the name of "Intolerance"?

We don’t need the faith based institutions to do Jamb a favor. Jamb should do its job simple.

Jamb is the one collecting exams fees and they should be the one to set up exam centers that each students will be able to write their exam without discrimination.

Intolerance is intolerance. Simple
So JAMB should build a CBT centre with about 300 computers, use it to write an exam in a month, then leave it idle for 11 months abi?

None of you has answered the question why Jamb is sending students to centers that are religiously affiliated.

Why is jamb sending students to centers that you must dress like their religion before you write exam? Is it part of the requirement of jamb?
I know you to be a man of equity and peace

So kindly, in your benevolence, set up 100 CBTs across the country, with each having about 300 computers. JAMB will speedily issue a memo banning Faith based institutions from their issues.

Even some government schools don't have CBTs.

CU, and other Faith based institutions are doing JAMB a favour sef

The article literally said some girls took the hijab off and were allowed in to write their exam.

They didn't say they don't permit Muslims. I happen to know Fuad Atanda Lawal for example, a practicing Muslim and current LGA chairman for Ikoyi/Obalende is a Covenant Graduate.

What the school said is we don't want Hijab. Same way I'm sure they would have sent Cossy Ijiakor back If she had turned up in a Bikini.

This is a non-starter abeg.

Even if it's located inside Heaven it's still a school. They are using the school for a national exam. Covenant made it about religion not the poor girls going to write their exams. Just because others were comfortable accepting disrespect doesn't mean others should.
Command Day Secondary School is located in a Barracks

The same rule governing the Barracks governs the school.

You cannot flout Barrack laws because you are in the school. Soldier go wipe sense comot the person head.

it's even in the news report; only the said girl ad two others didn't remove their hijab to write the exams. The other muslims removed their hijabs and wrote the mock exam.

The major issue here is that JAMB did not equip these CBT centers but posted people who paid to JAMB there to write exams. Yet JAMB expects these institutions to relax their rules/regulations/conducts to allow students who would not comply with the institution's rules to write exam in their premises. The thing dey somehow.

I think the only way out is for JAMB to not use these faith-based institutions for such exams going forward.
Unless we are willing to start building CBTs for JAMB, this is not even going to be considered

Most CBTs are owned by Schools, and if you know the percentage of Faith based schools that are housing undergraduates every year, you'll know that they are doing JAMB a very big favour.

Now... let's turn it around...

You're not allowed to write exam if you're not wearing hijab

I can bet some Christian girls will write exam that day

The question now is how will fellow Christians see those girls? What will they call them? unbelievers?
You are going to far

Some Christian ladies do not wear trousers but i have never seen NYSC bend that rule.

If you don't want to wear trousers, go home.

So maybe we should ask NYSC to be more religious tolerant? Pffttt

If you go to a Muslim CBT and you're asked to cover your hair before your write, cover it or go home.

Like Nihilistjnr asked, did she just see CU as her centre on that day? I'm sure you know the answer
