Theflint1: It was practically the same legislation as crafted by Lagos that other states copy-pasted. Although you can make a case for Lagos that they make enough to bear such expenses for ex-governors/deputy's
BlueRayDick: A bill was sent to the Lagos state house of asembly in 2007 and it was signed into law shortly before Tinubu left office . Other states followed suit.
That’s what I meant when I saw Lagos lead others follow
It's probably a measure of how low the bar has fallen that someone who negotiated a 7.5 percent cut of perpetual income from a brewery partly funded by Government funds is being hailed for not drawing a pension that is probably peanuts anyway.
Let's just stick to the point i raised sir
I am not calling him a Saint. Pandora papers still comes to mind
But concerning forfeiting his entitlements, thats commendable. A typical politician won't even forfeit one Land cruiser Prado for any reason
obainojazz: worked in the downstream sector before japa.... There is also cost of storage which runs into millions, cost of bribing at Apapa where one tanker pays thousands of Naira
There's also cost of licensing, bribing DPR officials which is another millions..... then we get down to other operating expenses
Let's not forget going concern as they need enough profit so when shiit hits the fans, they still remain in business
Without subsidy, I reckon it shout be between 250 to 300 Naira........ They still thieves though as they pay their workers peanuts and pocket the said profits for personal enjoyment
Lagos is selling at 180 to 200.
Outside Lagos, it goes for almost 250 to 300.
So does it mean that Lagos marketers don't pay all these dues you listed?
Bros, its greed. Especially those one-man fueling stations.
Oga go just call, put price as e like, and people go dey buy.
When fuel was 170, why was it the same all over the country?
larride: Alot of people do this and they still have the audacity to blame govt. Nigerians are naturally greedy and selfish.
Alot of Assu members do this also, collect scholarship to study abroad and then japa from there without giving value for what you've been giving, later they will come back and say the country is not good.
Anybody the govt want to send on scholarship should be in schools in Nigeria.
I don't even know the sense in sponsoring someone abroad that won't add 1 inch of value to your country
When i saw how Kwankwaso sponsored people abroad, i couldn't help but laugh. How many of them are in Kano, trying to improve or add into the system?
Itsrm: Are you sure? First he said he chose Okowa because he's someone he can work with
Secondly when Buhari gave Okowa an award, he said its confirmation he didn't make a mistake with his choice
Thirdly while in Ibadan, he said the only way Ayu can be removed is to follow the constitution of the PDP
Lastly, he recently said he has decided to move on because its too late to talk about removing Ayu.
These are the ones I can remember off my head and you say he has not said a word. If he wants to say a word nko?
I'm talking about since when Wike has been clamping on Atiku's supporters, eulogozing other party candidates, printing campaign buses without Atiku on it, etc
BlueRayDick: Just as I guess. I won't be surprised if in the coming weeks a popular Hausa musician will release a song that will point to Tinubu's drug case and paint him in the minds of the common man as a person unfit in the sight of God to rule. The numbers Tinubu has been gathering in the north with his travels and tours will sure go down to unexplainable levels. Then Atiku will cook more and more.
I remember the song "masugu sugu" one popular guy released in the north in 2014/2015. The song was telling those that want to run ; they should run cos Buhari is coming.... He's coming to clear mess and people who are corrupt should run away. He mentioned some perceived corrupt politicians in the song. The common northerner then had it at back of his mind that Buhari is coming to clear the mess and they voted so.
Atiku has left the South for BAT and Obi to be dragging themselves.
With all the noise Wike is making, Atiku hasn't said a word.
Man has shifted his energy to the North. Poaching here and there, and spreading the tribal gospel
Wike and his gang are even helping him to sell his market well in the north.
