I will be glad to at least have Shettima represented him. I will be more glad if he attends at least Channels Debate personally. We have been here, and it will repeat itself again Buhari avoided debates. Osibanjo was excellent. Today, Nigeria is clutching at straws, and PYO is still VP BAT is avoiding debates. Shettima is thrilling us with promises an end to insecurity in 6 months Well, make i no talk much. The people that voted massively for Buhari are buying fuel for 300 per litre. OasisX: ..... because they both own the Ticket. BAT is busy touring rounds and resolidifying his Structures in the North.
You and I know Debates don't win Election in Nigeria. If it does, Ademola Adeleke would come distant 4th in Osun Gubernatorial Poll.
Permutations, Alignments win Election in this Country. How many Nigerians have access to cable TV? How many Nigerians saw this Evening Debate?
Ask Mama Alata at Grocery yard near you what happened on AriseTV tomorrow, and you ain't gonna get any Answer.
I bet even young Ladies that have access to Cable TV were possibly seeing a series on Zeeworld.
Young men? Probably watching a Replay, playing PS or possibly flexing at Clubs at that time of Debate.
In short, Debate has zero value on Electorates in Nigeria. This is exactly how Buhari played out and today, everybody is lamenting. BAT is better than everybody, yet he cannot come on a platform and annihilate his opponents to the educated ones like us? OasisX: DonJ is taking it too far. It's easier said than done. Nigeria is too complex to fix in four/eight years.... that's a fact.
We ain't Kids anymore and we have listened to many electoral promises that end in Sewage. None of major Contestants is a Saint or so certain to fix the Country with perhaps magic wand.
We are simply all gambling with our respective choices. If I do not support your Candidate, it doesn't mean I hate him or do not want a progressive Nigeria.
If I critique your Candidate, it doesn't mean I am trying to demarket him. Don J should quit being to emotional coz the Election will come and go as usual and this Board would remain. The funniest part is that I am not even supporting Okowa. I am just stating a fact. You cannot hold a state governor responsible for something the FG should be in charge of. Ellexy: That's not my point. No vex, my chief. This was your comment Ellexy: "Gov Okowa is talking about pipeline surveillance on Arise TV but he hasn’t been able to do same in his state.
A 4KM pipeline used to steal oil has been in Delta for nine good years"
You expected him to replicate pipeline surveillance in Delta, and i told you its wasn't his job You said he should have alerted the FG, and i just told you it is no news that the FG is aware. Local fishermen can see the vessel siphoning oil for the past 9 years. The FG was well aware of it either through surveillance, data or decline in production. Okowa has no business whatsoever with that pipeline at all. He can confidently suggest pipeline surveillance because he hopes to be the FG soon But as a state governor, he has no business with it |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by izzou(m): 11:17pm On Nov 06, 2022 |
Ellexy: He's aware but what efforts has he made concerning it. That is my issue, did he call the FG to inform them and FG did nothing? This is what I mean by antecedents not just making bogus promises. Are you serious now? An underwater pipeline was installed for 9 years, and you think the facility didn't know about it? Do you know how long it takes to fill that water tanker? Do you know that our waterways are being patrolled by men of the JTF and Navy every now and then? Do you even know that installing that pipeline would show a significant drop in bpd and pressure data would point it out? All these happened for 9 years, and you believe the FG didn't know, and Okowa should have told them? |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by izzou(m): 10:58pm On Nov 06, 2022 |
Ellexy: Surveillance is different from protection though and you can't say he wasn't aware of such in his state. They're also to speak from their track records and antecedents on related issues not just to make bogus claims especially when the problem as stated is evident in his state. Awareness doesn't automatically translate to responsibility. He is aware, but that doesn't mean he should be responsible for it. You can't count that against him when it is obviously not his job or business. Federal roads are bad in many states including the one you're residing in. Do you blame your state governor for not fixing it, when it isn't his responsibility in the first place? |

Theflint1: All four candidates just responded to how they'd make funds available to run their manifesto, but I'm sure that's not what you want to hear, you want a detailed breakdown with how much will be spent and where it will be spent. I like the fact that we don’t need to ask questions. Just give them the job. 4 to 5 months, and they'll know how to solve it. At least Kwankwaso has told us he would he would make WAEC free so he can fund his 1 million boys for military. We shouldn't have asked HOW anyway. He would have funded it 4 to 5 months after he won |

Theflint1: What I was expecting kwankwaso to say and what I assume you're asking for, which is a detailed break down of spend, are two different things. I asked for HOW. The same HOW is what was asked of Kwankwaso. Even Bismark asked the candidates to spend more time discussing HOW. But its not realistic yet. nihilistjnr: How will you go about dealing with the insurgency right now?
Kwankwaso says technology is critical to providing security, and he us ashamed that in 2022 that security agencies cannot track bandit telephones.
When he was governor of Kano, he built roads and gates into the city of kano state, to institute stop and search.
For effective security we need men and technology.
Peter Obi says as Governor everybody knew what he did on community leadership. He equipped vigilantes in multiple communities with cars and phones.
Kola Abiola says the infrastructure is already there, if you go the command centres for most security agencies they are state of the art but people don't know how to use them due to lack of training and poor leadership
Okowa says technology is very Important, and the security equipment is very scanty on the ground.
None of these men has said anything that anybody on this thread has never said before.
Equal score for all of them |

I have gone through the manifesto of BAT and Obi, and i am very convinced that if any win, they will spend the next four years blaming Buhari. All i see is "We will establish", "We will create", "We will commence", "We will equip".... Where will the funds come from? No clue The best we will get next 4 years is that they will borrow billions from China, build infrastructure and tell you they did well. The dollar is rising to 900 and none of the candidates have proffered a solution. Their solution is that you vote them in by February, so they can fix it. I have started appreciating Buhari's incompetence. It would be cherished by the time we get to 2027. |
