Its extremely stupid, I still believe that it was staged, Oscar ratings has been tanking for years, almost all award shows have been losing relevance lately for various reasons

The fact that there is no outcry and people are instead looking at it with humor screams staged, also actors can fake that slap everyday of the week, they are that good

I think the organisers knew, guests and viewers were the only ones unaware
